Hey all, sorry for the short notice. Looks like Friday won the poll, so we'll be meeting up at 7pm servertime on Friday 8th of September at the Booty Bay Inn.

I set it a bit earlier than usual because I know a lot of people's guilds raid that night, so hopefully they'll be able to hang out and have a beer or cherry grog for at least an hour before going to trounce on old gods.

I look forward to seeing everyone there!

/hugs!

As much as I'd love to go, I can't, RP reasons. Lupen HATES the Goblins and Steamweedle Cartel, he even made an attempt to set fire to the very afformentioned inn. Tell me how it goes!

(It's for the better, getting guard aggro and running them around does tend to crash a party.)

Shadow wouldn't really go to "party" with alliance, but the guards keep them safe.

I consider the Shindigs partly OOC anyhow.

Can't say I'll make it. Considering the day I'll probably have other things to do.

depending on how the ZG raid turns out ((we have liek 30 people wanting to get into ZG maybe)

They started out good last night and when i showed up...we didnt wipe at all. So as i tried to get the groove going to do hakkar last night we stoped.

Gunna try tonight at 7pm >.<

if the raids fills up before the raid leader lets a 3rd-4th warrior in (me :P) then ill be there....if not, you all know what ill be doing.

Alliance, make sure you FLY there. I don't know why any of you would walk anyways, but there will be a very -mad- shadowspeak patroling.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Unfortunately, I completely forgot about the shindig when a coworker asked me to cover her shift tonight and I agreed.

So I'll only be able to stick around for an hour :(

But! Y'all don't need me to be there to drink yourselves silly and meet and greet everyone, right? :)

Ya, it would have been nice to have another Alliance whipping boy than just little old me. At least the taurens seemed to treat me more as a mascot than meatpuppet. <3 Fhenrir, Cinderblock, Able..

(edit.. I forgot, Kaliera, you looked ravishing my dear.. )

Other than that it was a sea of red hostility..

Damn hunters and FD! Hehe,, I used to love it when someone tried to get busy with Lupa in BB. Hunters have the edge with the bruisers no doubt!

Having said that,, Okh.. I direct your attention to the PvP callout forum. That sweet orc hiney will be mine. If I were you I would watch humanoid tracking very closely and vacate the area if you see my name appear.

It was really fun despite that I could be there for a half hour on my Rogue, Munak. Wish it could have been somewhere less cramped tough, Tauren take up too much space... gah /feelstiny.

To Nouri: Sorry if those distracts got annoying, it's was just Munak being goofy.

appologies OOC to Nouri and whoever that female was.

I really don't attend these anymore. For the reason above.

No matter how much I like you guys its not worth the headache to try and enjoy the night with people poking at you consistantly.

So I was floating around the game just not Stranglethorn.

I really wish I was the minority so I could talk the rest into coming. I'm really sick of seeing the dwindling Alliance attendance get picked on and prodded every time, even with the guards.

I'd really like to cram my sword down a few bullies' throats sometimes.

The female was Celuna, a fellow follower of the Light.. and a well connected young Paladin. :D

No worries Shadowspeak..

And I got a kick out of Munak, table dancing etc..

The thing is nouri was being attacked for a specific reason and I think Nouri knows that. Celuna was only attacked because she tried to defend Nouri. If more alliance had shown up it would have been a non issue actually as Nouri would have had more protection than a bunch of horde asking someone not to kill Nouri even though that person basically kos's all swordwaltzers for rp reasons.

Celuna
09-10-2006, 03:58 PM
Yes, that was me.

Too bad the shindig finally fell on a night I could show up, but I wasn't able to do anything but chat with Nouri for a bit because everytime I tried to go downstairs to dance or whatever, I was getting attacked/stunned/gouged.

I did get to dance a bit at the end, but by then I was already frustrated and on my way to do "fun" stuff.

If more alliance had shown up we would have all died. I thought you guys normally viewed these shindigs as ooc. Well what you say would be an IC action.

It can't be both. Figure it out. If people can't hold their little grudges at the door for a fun night then why should more alliance show up? So we can fight back and get killed? No I really don't feel the need to walk into a situation to get hassled when I can find it pretty much anywhere else I go.

Barke has a good point. Yes, I know and really dont have a problem with IC motives for being attacked. Its ok. But was this really an IC motive? If so, was the TNG shindig the place to "bring it"?

Not to mention, who's motive exactly was it? While I DO understand the motive, is that motive Okh's IC motive? Or Okhu? Or Okhru?

If its Okhu who has the Swordwaltzer grudge, then there WAS no legitimate IC motive for Okh, was there?

Maybe it was Okh who has the grudge. If so it would be the first I've heard of it. I knew Okhu had one.. But again, was this shindig all IC?

If this was all supposed to be IC, Nouri would never have been there to begin with. Too many undead. If these events are to continue to be held, little details like that need to be spelled out.

I think everyone's just reading way too much into it. Okh said something about 'needing' to kill you. Dunno why, we couldn't call her off *Shrug* Okh has a tendancy to remain IC even when others aren't.

Just put yourselves in our shoes. We are told the majority of these things are ooc. So we go to have a good time. We are killed/camped/pestered the entire time we are there.

Its not so fun. There was talk after the other one of having it in a alliance zone. But I wouldn't put players through that.

If its a IC event then a lot of people wouldn't be there. If its a ooc event and we are killed well thats just poor behavior.

I don't care for excuses and this is just turning into the same thing as before. You can't behave then expect these to be horde only events.

Daala

In character wise, Okhu is Okh is Okhru, etc. They're the same IC character.

For the record, I was under the impression that these were OOC events.

Really? I never knew that! Hmm.. So, that means I get credit for killing all three when I kill Okh? I like that idea!

Anyway. Enough of this before it winds up in the inferno thread. I don't want to make any mountains out of this molehill.

I did have a good time when I could grab it. Also, when I left I ran smack into a little PvP action just outside the tunnel.

welcome Rajjah :)

We're a big family here.

Like sisters and brothers really.

We sometimes fight like 'em too ;)

Ok.

To me, the shindig has always been in-character, modified as necessary.

If your character hates "gnomes". I mean, kill on sight, they make you go nuts when you see them, use that noggin of yours to come up with a reason why you AREN'T going to do it at this party, so OOC'ly we all can have a good time.

Now, originally I advertised it "I don't care if we dance all night, or fight all night, whatever happens, happens". However, that was back when I figured the odds were fairly even, with the Booty Bay Bruisers helping out where necessary.

I put a poll up in the Alliance-only forum to see if maybe having the next shindig in Alliance territory would foster some good-will.

I haven't gotten enough responses to make a decision yet. We'll have to wait and see how these events will proceed.
