You know, I started using Twitter not to micro-blog about myself but to follow the postings of some of the big names in my field and a few other folks I thought would be interesting to follow (Scott Allie, editor of Dark Horse Comics) and it's a pretty darn useful tool for keeping up in that way.

I like regular twitter because there are some famous people who don't post shitty shit (Oh GOD Kirstie Alley's twitter >_<) and because if I'm really lazy I can update my twitter AND facebook status as well as my LJ (which I kinda ignore nowadays) all at once FROM MY PHONE.
