Kurohane

(( This has been edited since can't post the word "u.nion" without the period in it. I wanted the text of the ceremony to be left as it was, though. ^_^ Please pardon the random "." and thanks again to everyone who came out tonight. <3 ))
It seemed an enternity. Kurohane had passed the time inside of the Temple of the Moon, talking and laughing with Celethorn and Liadain. Others had stopped in, wishing her well, but the time seemed to drag on and on. Yet, before she realized it, she stood alone in the temple, nervously fingering her white gown. It was time. After the months of planning, the antcipation, it was finally time - and yet, her feet didn't seem to want to move. This was what she wanted, but of all things, a sudden bout of stage fright set in.
Taking a deep breath, she pulled her hearthstone from her bag and whispered into it. "Would you... walk up with me? Please?"
Celethorn's voice answered back, "Aye, where are you?"
She let out the breath she didn't realize she'd been holding as she answered, "About to come out of the temple."
"On my way," came the responce and she took another deep breath before stepping out of the sacred hall.
A smile instantly spread across her face as Celethorn rounded the corner, a bit of her usual confidence returning.
"Lets go." His words were as crisp as always, but there seemed a certain warmth in there as well. Taking a deep breath, she nodded and the two made thier way to the terrace where everyone was gathered.
Through the crowd, she could just barely make out Kiraena, but as she came around them, her gaze met with Xelthan's and her breath caught. He was there, waiting on her, and by the smile he gave her, ready to do this. She smiled in return, fighting the tears that threatened to form in her eyes.
As she took her place beside him, Kiraena stepped forward and embraced each of them in a warm hug. Smiling, she stepped back and let her gaze move to the crowd around them.
"I welcome you all, family and friend alike," the priestess paused to bow. "We are here tonight to bear witness to the u.nion of Kurohane Mistveil and Xelthan Ravenvale in mind, body and spirit. Who will stand in support of this u.nion on behalf of this woman? Who knows her heart and acknowledges her desire this night?"
A quiet murmer came from the crowd as Celethorn took a step forward, head held high. "I stand for her." A few of his fellow guildmates gasp in obvious surprise. Kurohane smiled warmly back at him as he nodded at her.
Kiraena nodded in acknowledgement to Celethorn before returning her gaze to the crowd again. "Who will stand in support of this u.nion on behalf of this man? Who knows his heart and acknowledges his desire this night?"
"Ah stand fer 'im," Barke said from behind them. Xelthan gave him a quick grin and nod of thanks.
Kiraena nodded again before continuing. "So it shall be. Let none speak ill against this u.nion for it has the love and blessing of both family and friend. Kurohane. Xelthan," she paused to smile. "Declare yourselves now, before Elune herself and those gathered here in this sacred place."
Kurohane felt her throat catch with emotion, but her words came out clearly as she turned to face her husband-to-be. "I, Kurohane Mistviel, pledge myself body and soul to you and you alone from this day till the end of all days, Xelthan. Regardless of what may come, good or fel, I will forever stand by your side and know with joy in my heart that you will stand by mine.
There was no hesitation as Xelthan spoke his reply flawlessly. "I, Xelthan Ravenvale, pledge myenself body und soul to you and you alone from this day till ze end of all days, Kurohane. Regahr'dless of vhat may come, good or fel, I vill fohr'ever stand by your side and know vith joy in myen heart that you vill stand by mine."
Smiling, the couple turned back to face the priestess.
"The ties you bind can be broken by none. Strong and eternal as your devotion and love." Kiraena smiled brightly between the couple. "I acknowledge the u.nion of these two souls and bid you go now as man and wife. May Elune forever light your path."
A wash of light spread and druidic lighting glittered around them as Kurohane threw her arms around Xelthan and kisses him. The crowd errupted into cheers, applause and congratulations. The kiss seemed to last forever, the sounds of their friends and family's excitment hardly reaching her ears. Finally, after an eternity, after a second, he released her and she turned to smile at everyone.
"Thank you all for coming - please, join us to celebrate on the lawn beside the Warrior's terrace."
