Saw the WorldDefense messages as I was going to bed, unfortunately I had spent the last 7 hours defending Alliance cities (successfully) from a string of Horde raids and was all PvPed out.

We are a PvP guild. An RP PvP guild. ;)

Also, 5v5 is very hard to setup and keep going, I would recommend 2s or 3s for rating. I also just hate playing 5s, but still, it's tough to get all the people on for real sessions.

And Dom is short for Dominera, who is doing a 3v3 with Szordrin.

I don't know if Destro Lock / Holydin / Arc Mage is a real comp - but I'll check and see. Caster nuke team, it'd be real fragile, though lots of damage.

EDIT: I see no mention of it on AJ, but you -may- be able to make it work. Skirms some and find out, I say.

Didnt think it was wise to create another "World PvP Raven Cross" post, so ill just continue on this one.

I have not seen a guild answer so many world defense calls like the Raven Cross did last night. They were everywhere. I had the honor of fighting along side them (died a lot, not 80 ><).

All started in Hellfire Penninsula doing some quests. Then the Alliance show up in Thrallmar and start destroying everything. I was able to kill the one level 65 warrior they brought with them before I was massacred by the 80s. Soon all the local Horde questers fell to there wrath. After some time however, the Raven Cross dives in and turns the tables. Having respawned I watched as they killed the last guy...or so I thought. A dranei warrior kills me and is soon pursued by Leoren. He kills him and revives me. We RP a bit before he flying mounts out of there with the rest of the guildies.

It doesnt stop there. I stop by Undercity later and boom, Alliance are in the throne room killing everything. I attempt to defend....attempt. But they retreat and seems that no one knows were they are going. I notice them exiting from the sewers and follow them. I let the local defense channel know, and like 2 seconds later, boom, Raven Cross fly past me (one guildy blew me a kiss, Cessily I think) and kill all the slackers.

I take the orb to silvermoon, and check the bank for like...two seconds, and boom, Orb room throne is attacked by Alliance. This time I arrive as the Raven Cross arrives. We fight....I attempt to...and they flee. I run after them and sure enough after 5 minutes of tailing them, the Raven Cross are right behind me(some catching up on faster mounts and passing me). We stopped at Tranquillen and I hailed the man who rezzed me back at Hellfire one last time, and they all leave. I talk to the only remaining member (Carrowyn I think it was) and we RP about the whole thing a bit, and she tells me that they guy, Leoren, who saved me back there and stuff was the leader of the whole guild. Im in awe at this point.

Ok, so maybe it was only like three defense calls....was still fun, lol.

Well, recruitment is pretty easy. First, you submit your bios and character resume to the website (or guildhall). Then one of the Raven Cross representative, once interest is shown, will contact your character for an interview. Do NOT be late.

That was how I was recruited. If you are the type who love PVP and attacking Alliance with the balls to attack lowbies, the Raven Cross is just the sort of place you love to belong to.

We don't have a resto druid in the guild at all. We have one durid, and he's a level 56 I think?

Awesome fights again tonight guys. We actually had a lot more people with us tonight, but a lot less healers. We disbanded the raid having been pirates on the boat from Stormwind to Valiance keep.

We made a lot of bad strategic choices in Ironforge, like leaving the bank to help a single straggler since all the Alliance seemed to think we were going for Magni.

Killing the Gnome King was also something I wasn't intending on doing, we were there to kill Alliance, not world bosses.

The best fights were in the tram though. That was FUN.

Great for the melee, terrible for casters and ranged.

Actually no, terrible for everybody because melee can't get healed if the casters can't see them.

People were also not paying attention sometimes, which was frustrating. I think one thing we need to take away from it is if people are left behind for lack of paying attention, we don't go back for them until they learn.

Fordragon has a lot of casters, from what I've seen. But I'm sure they responded in part to the attack on Ironforge and Stormwind, maybe you could organize with them?

I think it's great that you guys come to defense so often, though. The only reason we really "won" in the tram was because there were no guards and we separated, so your guys separated, and then we regrouped before you guys did.

Oh, we were in a raid with FI as well, but I didn't notice any Magi/Locks/other ranged DPS. Maybe I wasn't paying attention because of OMG KILL THE HEALERS!!!
