Confirm/deny?

I've seen quite a massive load pvp, even the evolution of world pvp itself. Noticeably in the new trend Me and a couple of friends have started that has managed to catch on, It's called "AirGanking" Either killing players flying on thier mounts inside cities or out this new form of ganking has become quite effective and hilarious.

First to implament this new style was me and Yatokth and it seems to of cought on quite well. Alot of pvp occurs within Dun niflem as well.

Any thoughts or counter arguments towards this?

You sir are months behind! Storm Peaks BELONGED to First Legion for the first four months of Wrath of the Lich King. All you are doing is doing EXACTLY what we did there, making it impossible for Horde to get anything accomplished there in a timely manner (Well except for Negre, we let him live >.> ).

But you need to credit this "new form" of ganking to the originators of it...FIRST LEGION! Namely Focault and Myself for rallying the troops there and being ruthless about it.

But I agree this place is def the new "hot spot" for World PvP. It's funny when we bring someone new into First Legion and they go out there and get ganked, because then I have to take the time to explain to them why their guild tag out in them parts of the world will get you camped instantly.

All that buggers me is that I'm a warrior and it's always 15 ret pallies 4 disc priests and 12547 death knights falling from the sky on my ass at once.

Psh, one of any would be enough...

Don't forget naked Boomkins shoop-da-tidal wave whooping you off your flying mount while you're trying to get your dailies done. :|

Mother frakkers.

I dual-spec'd Fire for Storm Peaks.

Good times.

I'm going to leave this topic up as long as people can keep it to discussions about PVP in Storm Peaks, rather than trying to take credit for something that has been happening since the zone opened, or veering the conversation towards specific fights.

I doubt this thread can remain civil, so consider this a challenge to prove me wrong.

Counter argument. Generic objection. Something poignant. Cliche witticism.

Great place for world PvP depending on the hour, rare to get a good fight though as you either get ganged up on (I usually run solo) or fight people you severely outclass, typically gear wise, because they're doing their dailies to get rep to get the gear/enchant and the people there to PvP have already geared up. If more people got on board and started organizing to control the zone for one faction or another things could get interesting. As it stands though, it's been similar to old QD since day .. 10? of wrath or something. I have no idea :P

Actually me and Kained did the whole air ganking thing while we were on the Horde side. We didn't make it impossible to do dailies (Except maybe for Johnuums - sorry brah), cause we left Storm Peaks after we were done having fun.

Also, Air Ganking with druids is totally easy mode, you gotta rock the Warrior / Ret stuff for true legitness. I mean, Judgement->Hammer->Bubble-land along with crazy shit like aerial bladestorms to intervenes to avoid fall damage.... THAT'S LIKE SKILL SIR, 2500 RATED AIR GANKING RIGHT THERE.

SP was better for PvP before Argent Tourney though... Now less people do the dailies and I can't find large groups of red names to kill at any time of day when I go there. :( Still, it's the best there is, even though it's mostly just peeps farming for shoulder chants now.

Never considered that.. Don't go to SP much myself anymore either which I forgot to mention XD Chillmaw, the new QD? Discuss.

When I was still playing, Storm Peaks was pretty much empty from as far as I can remember, until I got Anthek to 80 after Fallacy, but I rarely took him there since I had inscription and little use for Sons of Hodir rep. Got jumped a few times, got revenge, and little more than that. The zone is so big, it's not easy to find a specific person. Sholazar Basin was always more active, from what I saw.

And I never saw any First Legion early on, and I was one of the few people who knew to start working on SoH rep. I was farming Everfrost without any interference for a long time.

I invented Air Ganking in BC, with a shadow priest no less. And this is when the bodies stayed in the air. Months behind!

Sorry, I just wanted to feel like I was part of the group.

Slight deviation, but more serious, I like the Grizzly Hills mechanic where it tells you people are doing dailies on the other side. Admittedly only 75, but it's fun running from Venture Bay to the Logging Camp because you know the "bad guys" have started a daily run. I'm just disappointed more people aren't doing them. Good idea, but implemented in a zone that should be higher level, which would attract more 80's, which would make the entire system more self sustaining.

Unless Storm Peaks is similarly setup, my argument would be null then. I haven't been because I'm a terrible leveler.

Yeah I love grizzly hills, it's too bad few people do those dailies, they should have been max level, or at least the venture bay ones.

I wouldn't really go that far. Sure, Focault was out there tracking horde and calling in friends to help him gank solo horde, but it was pretty simple to just move to a different location and continue dailying.

I just hate the comparisons of "ganking" with PVP. Its like killing boars outside Orgrimmar and bragging about how awesome in PVE you are.

I got air-ganked in Nagrand in BC very often, and Kiannis taught me how when I was a Hellfire noob. >_>;

Agreed, in most pvp situations unless you're just very inexperienced or WANT to keep fighting, it's really hard to stay camped. That isn't to say even the experienced players can easily get away all the time.. But I've never been prevented from doing my dailies by would be gankers.

The nerdrage from ganking is the beginning of World PvP.

World PvP is awesome.

Therefore, ganking is awesome. Let's not even get into how ganking IS world PvP, because there are no RULES in world PvP... It might cause your head to explode with circular logic.

I like going there. Killing elves is fun, and when I get outnumbered, I can just go home and come back later.

You never go full retard. Never.

On a less serious note. I think I was in Storm Peaks while FL was having a play day...man I wish fear would make people run off of cliffs....>.<
