Under Development - Patch 3.2: Call of the Crusade (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/underdev/)
You've gotta be kidding, ANOTHER new Arena Season?! o.O;;
I sure hope this doesn't mean Deadly will be available for Honour and thus becoming the next starter-Arena PvP Set like what happened with Hateful - this is getting ridiculous.
Also, a new Battleground?
Things seem to be moving along pretty fast.
EDIT: Please move this to the PvP Discussion Boards when you get the chance, I accidentally put it here.

3.2 won't be out for AWHILE.
And they've always started new seasons with major patches. Season 6 has barely begun, Blizz is just communicating with its player base more, so we know season 7's patch a bit earlier.

I don't think I'll enjoy it very much if Blizzard still won't let you take a raid group in to a normal game.

I'm hoping siege and breaking down walls won't neccessarily be the main focus all the time.
I miss fighting over shit old school style.

This.
Siege shit is alright in small doses, but I miss when PvP was player versus player, not player versus Siege Tank. It's kind of irritating when the newest BGs that pvpers have been looking forward to for years punish you for attacking players instead of wood wagons. =/

Yeah, I was hoping there would actually be parts of WG that mattered that you HAD to do on foot - a massive multi-objective thing, with siege as a tool rather than the only thing that matters.
WG isn't like that.
This new BG should be.

Concerning the original issue regarding the brevity of the Arena Seasons, I share the sentiment.
Some of the arena point prices of the Furious gear this season seemed too steep to suggest a short season like the last two ( Both at 17 weeks, the prior seasons ranging anywhere from 20 to 29 weeks ). Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe they're even higher this season than the last?
A 2v2 rating of 2050 roughly amounts to 850 points per week. If we were to expect a similar time frame of the most recent seasons ( 17 weeks ) - If you were being generous, you're looking at roughly 14450 points pocket money.
Assuming you're going for at the very minimum your T1 Weapon / Full Furious / Accessory: 1400 + 1300 + 1750 + 2150 + 2150 + 2150 + 1150 = 12050 Arena points.
If you're even able to secure that rating, that only really gives 2400 points left over ( subject to rating fluctuations etc ). That's still two weeks short in case you were working towards your T2 weapon ( A 2Hander weighing a hefty 4250 ). Granted, if you were of a rating that high you'd be getting more points, from the numbers I was running through the point calculator on Arena Junkies, climbing rating above 2100-2200 doesn't yield that much more ( A 2500 rating for example, yielding 1050 ish, only 200 more or so than a 2050 ). Perhaps Blizzard has taken into account Vault of Archavon drops, assuming people would at least have picked up an item or so in each season? Keep in mind 2v2s make up only 76% or so of the points a 5s would make as well, so a 5s team of similar rating wouldn't have too great a lead in budget to make up for it.
I don't think they'd have made such high point acquisition a strict requirement for the chance of acquiring a full Furious set if they were to keep it within the same time period. Personally I was expecting at least a 20 week season if not more. I believe the reason the last two seasons were so short was due to the transitional nature of the game from BC into WotLK, and they hadn't gotten balance down on some of the classes to their liking due to all the new talents and mechanics. They've stated 3.1 would likely be the largest overhaul to all the classes for a while, suggesting they were finally starting to feel comfortable with their class balance, and with that a longer and more stable season.
TL : DR: Don't think it'll be that short. My money's on at least 20 weeks if not more.

it isn't welfare if it requires the rateing champ, hatefull and deadly are welfare but fury has about a 1850 minimum for the first two pieces. Also thanks for mocking my awesome two years of English <3

Maybe they'll have some new-looking arena sets, this past season's skins seemed to be a little lackluster - especially that shaman helmet, oh mercy
