It was no great secret that Viirchi hated coming to the Exodar, save for a select few the Draenei found little comfort in her own people. It was enough for the rumors to begin circulating about her whenever she was there for any small amount of time, but a lot of those rumors had some truth in them and despite all she had done they allways followed her whenever she returned.
Viirchi had seen the worst in her people, consequences of an almost fanatical devotion to the light. It was small wonder then that bitterness weighed down on her or even why there were so few of her own kind on the Exodar she would ever bother to speak with, let alone visit. The guards gave her space as she moved down into the former ship. Considering how long they had been on Azeroth it was almost surprising there were not more permanent structures on the island but her people were deliberately moving slowly to prevent causing more damage during the clean up and attention was directed elsewhere because of the continuing chaos the world found itself in.
Virrchi found Velen below the main level directly center of the Seat of the Naaru, the prohet actually seemed to be content as he stood in the light of O'ros.

"You cannot imagine how difficult it is to lose your security detail."

Viirchi continued to approach Velen as she proceeded down the ramp. She glance up at O'ros briefly, wondering if the creature even possessed eyes or even had some method where it was capable of seeing it's own surroundings. "You didn't, they're waiting at the end of the ramp. I was asked not to mention it, so they can pretend that they were not actually watching your every step for fear you would trip over a wayward pebble."

Velen smiled, though his eyes reflected a slight disapointment. "Occassionally one likes to think he has control of his own destiny." He sighed. "I sometimes worry about what they will do when they have no one to guard. Do you think they bribe the shamans to watch my dreams?"

There was humor in his voice as he spoke this last sentence, though Viirchi tried to pretend she didn't understand the joke. The elite guard that kept Velen safe make little sacrifice when is came to protecting their leader, it had become more necessary as the horde became bolder and they seemed to attack purely by association to the alliance, she was not going to argue the need for Velen to be guarded. "They seem to think you need your private moments."

"Ah, and yet here I am with you and with O'ros."

Viirchi hesitated. "I can leave."

Velen smiled again, turning towards the young draenei as he took his attention off the Naaru. "That won't do much good will it? You are here anyway, it seems silly to waste the opportunity for a visit."

He approached her slowly, bringing his hand to her chin as he searched her eyes. There was a sad smile that approached his lips as he lowered his hand. "That is regretable, and how are you faring?"

"How do you think?"

He stroked his beard as he gave his next words thought. "And your father? Did that improve your life and ease your spirit?"

Viirchi looked away, her hands closing into fists. Her father's mind had improved considerably, she had seen to that herself. Still, in the end it had not led to happiness and the two had only succeeded in making eachother miserable. The last she had heard Vorell had been heading to Forest Song to assist construction. Their letters were infrequent and strained. "No Master Velen, it did not."

Velen raised an eyebrow at the response. "My we are being formal, It must have gone poorly."

Viirchi scowled. "Are you going to lecture me?"

"For what reason child? I am not in the interest of rubbing salt into open wounds." He became thoughtfull for a moment. "And it is good to know that Vorell has regained his wits, I believe that the General is still too young to grow senile."

"And what of me?"

"Well I hope that you are not going senile."

"No." She frowned. "What am I to do now?"

Velen considered the question. "Now that is different."

He gave O'ros a gracious nod then continued up to the main floor, urging Viirchi to follow. He seemed to smile at his bodyguards who were managing to do a poor job of looking like they were only loitering and guided the young draenei up to his chambers where he poured two glasses from a pitcher, a small smile played on his lips as he spoke. "I must wonder if King Varian still considers himself a small boy."

"It's not like you to complain."

Velen set the pitcher down, gently picking up one of the glasses as he took a seat. "And who says I complain? I am giving my opinion as an old man, it is my right."

"You are complaining."

Velen grinned at the accusation, sipping his drink carefully as he considered his words. "The problem with Fire and Water is that neither understands how the other can be necessary, and so they are frequently in combat."

"Did Nobundo tell you that?"

Velen didn't respond, instead setiing his glass down as he looked at Viirchi. "I fear that King Varian is attempting to fight too many battles."

"It's his right. " Viirchi spat. "I dowbt anyone can convince him otherwise, even you."

He smiled. "Well the young rarely listen to the old. Consiquently, I do have a favor I hope I can trouble you for."

Viirchi stared at Velen, a sudden understanding dawning on her. "You can't expect me to reason with anyone if you think it will achieve any amount of success."

Velen sighed. "Child, I hope you do not expect to sit here trying to convince me that my judgement is worthless."

Viirchi stuttered, her mouth moving as it tried to stumble on the right words. "I didn't say that."

"Good. I would hate to think that I was going senile." He moved to rise, approaching the table and handing her a sealed envelope. "Your introduction. Though I'm sure you have met, I think they will enjoy the formality."

Viirchi eyed Velen, slowly taking the envelope with suspicion. "And what am I supposed to do?"

"I believe it is entirely up to them." He stroked his beard. "I think the term is 'volunteering.'"

"I would think that I already 'volunteer', and I know you."

"Yes, a little, and I know you, a little."

"You have something in mind."

"I am only putting one fire next to another and hoping it keeps them from burning the bridge."

Viirchi scowled. "That makes no sense."

"Really? Perhaps I will have to come up with something better."
