Anyone want to help plan something?
Personally I'd like to do a big RP-PVP event that everyone here would enjoy participating in.
Just not sure how to make it PVP oriented without someone getting their panties in a wad about something though.

Perhaps another party turned genocide is in order?

Perhaps another party turned genocide is in order? I believe I speak for everyone when I say that only half of that idea is really suitable. Why bother waiting before the genocide? I say we get right to it!

Obviously I would be more than happy to assist. How we will make it PVP oriented is a tough thing... but maybe a tournament. Or a battle over the EPL towers maybe?

A one year tournament! We all fight...for a year. In honor of...THE YEAR!

Shindig, totaly. And the evil alliance-hating members (shifty eyes) persuade us to FIGHT!

"It has been a year since the new heroes of Azeroth began their quests and training. They have faced and killed kings, gods, and dragons--almost every challenge existing has been met. Except the Horde and the Alliance are still at war, and have not made any progress toward a resolution... be it peace or genocide.
September will change this. On [serveranniversaryday], the heroes of Azeroth will wage a mighty battle. Each side will try to take over as many towns and cities of the opposing faction as possible. The battle will begin at midnight and last until the following midnight. Heroes will have time to rest, to send in fresh troops. And whoever is holding the most cities at the stroke of midnight wins the battle--and gains a considerable advantage in the war."

I think we should have a towers tournoment in EPL... that would be awesome... taking towns is dumb. Towers, you can couqure and hold. Towns... are just kinda... silly... because how do you mantian controll with guards that respawn. So towers sounds better. Midnight to midnight, whoever controlls towers for the longest (each tower would give you half a minute in thirty seconds, four towers would give you 2 minutes in thirty seconds... and everything in between.)

I like the idea of a nice drink-a-thon at the Booty Bay tavern.
Been awhile since we've had a shindig anyway.

Party at the gurubashi arena. We do 2 vs 2's or more. We all get on same vent etc etc.
we did that one day when Epug was bored. We had a blast too. And guess who one the 2v2 tournament..2 pallys -_-
Then all 20 of us jumped in and had a battle royal. It was down to me, ashryu-something, and yuii....yuii won :(

hmm..I like the arena idea.. I wonder if we could do it "Dipolomacy" or "Risk" style..in rounds, losers switch to the winners teams?
Hmm..probably not very RP-ish, but would be hella fun I think.
You could actually do some cross faction truces AND attack someone on the same faction. Plus if non-RPers tried to interfere, EVERYONE could attack them.
edit: I like the towers thing too, but depending on how popular the world pvp is in a month, it's awful likely to get interferred with by non-RPers.

Party in those funky crystal caves up the back of the camp in Un Goro?

Didn't you hear? Neutral Locations are out for peaceful parties, as of now.
[Someone] on the Horde kept slapping around all the heavily outnumbered Alliance last time, and now many of them aren't comfortable without guards around.

It was like an Sn'M club, except nobody wanted to be slapped by him.

I'll try to make a shindig, but not with Teelia. RP-wise, Teelia would attack any forsaken she encountered there. So if I'm able to make it, I'll bring Lovely, who also has nailed forsaken, but in a different way (HA!).

Personally, I like the arena idea. We could even do a Horde vs. Alliance mini-battleground type thing.

Well how about this...we start out at Booty Bay, drink a bit, and THEN head over to the arena!? Best of both worlds!

sounds good to me.
Does anyone know what the actual official date is? I've seen sept 5th and 9th, but not sure what is the correct date.

According to Warcraftrealms TN came online 5th Sep 05. So next Tuesday is the anniversary.

how does Tuesday look for a shindig in BB with an optional arena raid afterwards?
Or would Friday be better?

Friday would be better for me, but I think another poll might be needed?

Mmm, how about we split the arena/partay to tuesday and friday, with one on each? It would make it so that everyone can participate in some form of shindig.
