I. The Seeds of Darkness

Kodey was born into a house of four, living the happiest days of his life with his parents and his younger brother. He was taught from a young age the art of sword fighting and learned from his father the meaning and importance to defend and protect Silvermoon. Raised on honor and tradition, had nothing happened to him he would have become a great warrior whose heart and soul would be poured into the prosperity of Silvermoon.

But one day, on a peaceful evening that Kodey and his family were enjoying, a mage by the name of Atirmel appeared at the footsteps of his home. The man seemed to have pressing matters to speak with his parents and the trio talked for what seemed like hours as Kodey and his younger brother sit playing in the adjacent room.

"What do you think they're talking about in the other room? I bet he's here cause you lit up Lady Terryan's flowers!" said Kodey.

"Nuh uh! It was an accident, she wouldn't send such a scary man over! She's really nice too! You're just jealous cause you can't use magic as well as I do!" said his little brother.

"Why would I be jealous of your stupid magical powers! Who needs magic when you can wield a sword as well as I can," Kodey said, wielding his practice sword around showing off his prowess.

"They're not stupid! I'm going to tell mom!" his brother said.

"You always cry like a baby! Can't you see she's busy with an important guest? If you keep crying maybe she'll send you off with that scary elf man!" said Kodey.

Little did he know how true his words would become. As he ruffled his brother's hair to try and cheer him up, the elf figure came into the room with the two children and took Kodey's little brother right before his very eyes. The mage then disappeared on the spot and Kodey ran frantically around looking to see where he had gone off too.

He ran around the house crying "Mom?! Where did they take him?! Where is my little brother?!"

He looked up into his mother's eyes as she peered out the window, avoiding even the slightest contact with Kodey's.

II. The Sprouting of Darkness

Due to Silvermoon Law every family was required to enlist two males into the Royal Army to serve in the war against the Scourge. For Kodey's family, this role would have normally gone to Kodey and his younger brother. But the latter had been taken away by a mage.. and so Kodey and his father were forced to serve in the army.

His father was aging, old beyond measure and clearly couldn't serve in the war. But rules were rules, and his father proudly wore his suit of armor into battle with the Scourge, even if his hands could only barely hold up the sword. There his father died.. in combat protecting Silvermoon, the greatest glory that could be asked of any Knight.

When Kodey's mother heard word of his father's death she fell into sorrow and dismay. Soon after, she too fell victim to death, as she had lost her long life companion. Sitting on her deathbed, she told Kodey these last words "You may be hurt and sad right now my son, but someday all this pain you are feeling will end. And when it does, you must remember that our family has had a proud tradition of protecting Silvermoon, and you too must go on and carry this tradition. Do not let hatred consume you, because hatred will cause you lose the ones most dear to you."

Kodey was hurt at this point. Still young and new to the world, he took in what he was experiencing as hatred and anger. For him, the mages who took away his brother had caused all this misery on him. They had forced his father to serve in the army, which led to his death. They had made his mother die seeing his father's death. All he wanted to do was rid the world of magic users. He blamed them for everything that was wrong in his life.

Kodey continued to fight day and night for Silvermoon, but his heart was never quite where it was before. One day, while being sent into a mission into the hidden depths of the Ghostlands he discovered a peculiar man dressed in raven black feathers and with long sheets of animal hides. The man looked into Kodey's eyes and saw his hatred for magic users. With a grin on his face and a delighter dark wicked smile, the man showed Kodey the way of the Mage Hunters, an evil that was most powerful when the heart of an individual was eclipsed with hatred and revenge.

And so it began. As Kodey was training to be a great warrior to protect Silvermoon, he secretly studied the Mage Hunter arts. He learned how the blade he used against the Scourge could be malformed into a weapon against all magic users. He learned how to channel his hatred and disgust of magic users into a force that could counter the mightiest of magical spells. But with all this dark use, he also only learned to hate. To hate everything around him, to see everyone as either an ally or an enemy. And this hatred consumed him day in and day out. He never felt love, because his heart had been shielded away by the clouds of hatred.

III. The Tree of Darkness

Kodey's new gain power coupled with his years of training as a Knight of Silvermoon soon raised him above the ranks of countless men. Soon the Regent of Silvermoon himself appointed Kodey into the position of Lead Commander of one of the largest sectors of his army. And there he led his men, to fight for Silvermoon... and to fight against Mages.

He killed, he murdered, he destroyed. Anything that stopped him from seeking revenge on magic users was eliminated. Nothing could stand in the way of his reign over the destruction of magic users... or so he thought.

IV. Rebirth

The story takes an unexpected turn here. While going about one of his cases trying to frame a mage so that his army can execute him, a strange series of events happen....
