Cantrips and Crows.

[Rohan Orcslayer]

"Hey, looking for a good time, red?" I had to sigh internally as the Azeroth's most unsanitary goblin wench asked me, again.

"Yes, infact, I am. So go away." I answered briskly before continuing on my way, away from the individual with more diseases than Heigen the Unclean's fetrid toenails.

I had to wonder why I came down to this cess pool many called "The Underbelly", It most certainly wasn't the locals; the deranged magi outcasts, the drunken sods, or that goblin with the strange eye that kept trying to peddle those 'uber absorbant' pieces of needlepoint that looked a lot like they were made from a dwarf's beard.

It was to get away from those damned adventurers.

Of course the company here wasn't much better, I reminded myself as I strode past a Blood Elf arguing with a Squidgoat (I can never remember their race's name.) and sat down in a chair so squeeky you'd think you'd just sat upon a mouse (Which was sometimes the case in this district). I stretched my gauntleted fingers as I waited for the ditzy Blood Elf (Kind of redundant) waitress to come over, take my order, and then several hours later bring me a pint of water flavored with the drink I just ordered.

Of course, that was before I looked up and saw the rather decomposed face of a once fellow Crusader...

[Swerto]

Swerto pushed his way through the crowded sewers. Much of the low life from across Azeroth had made their way here trying to peddle goods to the newfound traveler. Swerto didn't really care much for any of them, he just wanted a drink and they were getting in his way. He was seconds away from throwing people out of his way. Then he saw a former comrade in arms from across the way. He recognized him instantly, and the memories of his past life flooded his mind.

Yes, his name was Rohan.

[Rohan Orcslayer]

I stared back at the dead glow of my former comrade's eyes. I couldn't help but have a feeling of horror at what the undead turned him into, I had a lot of respect for the man when he still had blood in his veins. However, that man was dead. Dead the moment the last sparks of life left his body as he hung from that tree.

No, what stood before me now was just another wretched, twisted abomination. One incapable of mercy or compassion. And it keep staring at me, with those glowing, dead eyes.

The look was maddening. Vexxed heavily, I decided to speak up, in rough Gutterspeak.

"What are you staring at, Ghoul?"

[Swerto]

Swerto approached the human smirking under his helmet. He kicked a chair out next to the human and sat down and spat back, "Just a sheep moving quickly to the slaughter."

[Rohan Orcslayer]

I growled internally at the ghoulish remnant of my former brother in arms, I ran my thumb over the symbol of Light on Orcslayer, cursing the magi for harboring a monster such as this traitor within their city.

I knew that the person I once knew was no more, and the being before me was only an empty shell bearing his face. Still, I decided to humor him as if he were still the same man.

"I see your neck didn't break when they strung you up."

[Swerto]

"I wouldn't know, I was dead pretty quick. I see you were stupid enough to leave my body in the open where I could be reanimated... your mistake. "

[Rohan Orcslayer]

I scowled, "If it were my call you'd of been burned at the stake!"

[Swerto]

"Probably would have been smarter, but now it's too late for that."

[Rohan Orcslayer]

"Hmph. You'd like to think that, wouldn't you?" I sneered, "Never too late to burn a Necrophile."

[Swerto]

"Funny thing about being dead, you don't fear things anymore"

[Rohan Orcslayer]

"Hmph. Of course... Though clearly you're not dead yet. I'll be sure to correct that should I see you outside this city." I shrugged my hand, "Consider it a gift from an old friend." I said, continuing to sneer.

[Swerto]

"Another funny thing about being what I am, is that I don't die again easily, I could break you in two before you could make it through my armor. "

[Rohan Orcslayer]

"Boastfulness, is that another part of being what you are?"

[Swerto]

"No, but vengeance is. "

[Rohan Orcslayer]

"Vengeance? For what? You brought your fate upon yourself."

[Swerto]

"My fate may have been, but that of every Forsaken ever harmed by the Scarlet Crusade was not. We do not forget, human"

[Rohan Orcslayer]

"You forgot your humanity."

[Swerto]

"Who needs humanity when you have perfection?"

[Rohan Orcslayer]

"If you're so perfect. Why do you wish for vengeance?"

[Swerto]

"Because it's fun, of course"

[Rohan Orcslayer]

"You're a monster. But, at least you admit it."

[Swerto]

"Coming from the man who has tortured and maimed countless people. I find that amusing."

[Rohan Orcslayer]

I found it hard not to smack this wretch's head clean off, "You give me too much credit. Far too much. I have slain and interrogated the undead, if you count them as... people."

[Swerto]

"Oh don't get me wrong, those who have died have well deserved it. If you allow yourself to be captured your fate is your own, those who fall behind are left behind.

[Rohan Orcslayer]

"I would say that's heartless. But, considering the beings we're talking about..."

[Swerto]

"'ghouls'?

Well considering these 'mindless ghouls' have almost all but exterminated the scarlet crusade... "

[Rohan Orcslayer]

I couldn't help but laugh. "YOU? You 'Forsaken' would have been crushed by the Armies of the Scarlet Crusade! It wasn't YOU who defeated us... It was your Death Knight cousins."

[Swerto]

"You were defeated long before you were pushed into your little enclave. We pushed you out of our lands first, then out of Hearthglen. We are the reason you were pushed back into that fortress in the first place. The Ebon Blade just saved us the trouble of breaching it ourselves. I find it funny that the Onslaught now employs Death Knights..."

[Rohan Orcslayer]

"Hmph, you would like to think that, don't you? You Forsaken have YET to remove us from our lands. And you're Banshee Queen has never launched a successful attack against the Monastery! Instead she sent 'Adventurers' to do her dirty work."

[Swerto]

"Last I checked the Monestary was in ruin, whitemane's head was on a steak outside of Undercity, and Hearthglen was set ablaze. Doesn't help that the same fate seems to be coming to the Onslaught. First in Dragonblight where they couldn't stand up to the venompost, then when they came under assault from the Ebon Blade in the harbor.

Your forces are decimated, and your order scattered. We endure and you have fallen. Now all that remains is hunting down the remainder of you and wiping you off the face of Azeroth. "

[Rohan Orcslayer]

I smirked at him, "Go ahead then... I'm right here. And you're a fool if you still think I give a damn about those Inquesitioners after what they did to the Onslaught."

[Swerto]

Swerto smirked and leaned across the table. He spat words back at the human.
"Ah but you see, I do not care what you 'give a damn' about. It makes no difference in the end for me. And you are naiive to think I am afraid of the magi. There are many ways out of this city that I could get to long before I am stopped. "

[Rohan Orcslayer]

"The only way out of the city for you, then. Would be straight down." I leaned back, "They don't joke when it comes to Law and Order here... At least, in keeping the two factions from fighting..." I recalled the wench and gagged internally.

[Swerto]

"You call this order? Factions are fighting even if without weapons in this city."

[Rohan Orcslayer]

"Yes well, no one has died without the other finding themselves taking the express way to Crystalsong Forest." I stretched my neck. "I'm afraid we're going to have to have our epic little duel of good vs. evil somewhere else."

[Swerto]

"Epic duel of good and evil? You seem to mistake me for some valorous knight, because I'm certainly not that self righteous to assume I'm the good one. "

[Rohan Orcslayer]

"Compaired to you, I'm Archbishop Faol. I suppose I'll have to had you to the to-duel list... Right next to the Night Elf corpse and the cowardly former Orc."

[Swerto]

"See... that pun is funny in common, not so much in the language of thieves and outcats"

[Rohan Orcslayer]

"Hmph... Anyway... I heard you helped construct that nightmare in the Fjord... New Agamand they call it... Did you train the guard there?"

[Swerto]

"I had nothing to do with the construction, I just helped clear the area and fight any Vrykul who tried to stop us. All those who fought with me initially are either dead or gone"

[Rohan Orcslayer]

"Hmph, well then. That would explain why they never put up a decent fight when I visit..." I smirk, "Nasty business with the Alliance Bombing it... All that hard work on those diseases..."

[Swerto]

"More work for the Apothecarium means they are less likely to betray the Queen again, it all works out in the end. I'd rather see more work land on Infection's lap anyways, more work for us cures the boredom of slaughtering worthless humans and zombified servants of our fallen prince. "

[Rohan Orcslayer]

"Oh, thats right. Your 'nation' recently turned in on itself. About HALF of you were sent to the Nether, weren't they? Makes me feel a tad better."

"Those who died were traitors to the queen, they got what they deserved. I only wish I was around to dish out her vengeance upon them. Those who side with demons will die with demons. Putress had the right idea for the Alliance and Horde, he just was stupid with whom he allied himself with"

[Rohan Orcslayer]

"You really think that was HIS idea? Come now, let's be honest. The plan to betray the Alliance and the Horde was your Queen's idea from the start. Putress just jumped the bloody gun." ((By the by, New Agamand is under attack.))

[Swerto]

"In the Apothecarium. I heard the screams of the Forsaken's victims every day... It was like Stratholme all over again... For two years..."

"Knowing what they did... The pain they inflicted upon those innocent people... I know every time I lift my blade against them... Justice is on my side."

[Swerto]

"Nobody is innocent"

[Rohan Orcslayer]

"Hmph... You'd like to think that, wouldn't you?"

[Rohan Orcslayer]

"Even so, I know that no one should have to suffer at the hands of the Forsaken."

[Swerto]

"Think about it, who do you think is within the Apothecarium. Citizens of Lorderaan who survived the plague and tried to flee to Gilneas only to be locked out? Or crusaders who attack our cities and our people on a regular basis and are captured alive. The 'innocent' are the exception to the rule. I have no pity for any human who is captured by an Apothecary. "

[Rohan Orcslayer]

"Then you have truely lost your humanity. I may be a Scarlet Crusader, but I still possess compassion!"

[Swerto]

"Do you show it to your victims crusader? Do you show mercy to those who deserve it? I even offer the mercy of a quick death to those I seek. I do not hand them to those who will torture them for 'information'.

[Rohan Orcslayer]

I grinned, "I took no prisoners, Swerto. You know that... And the Inquisitors did not scar my mind with paranoia. I did not attack the innocent."

[Swerto]

"Tell yourself whatever you want, not every Forsaken is a soldier. "

[Rohan Orcslayer]

"But every Forsaken is undead... A horrible state of being. I gave them as quick a death as I could... I let the Light and the Shadow decide their fate after that."

[Swerto]

"And every human is in a horrific state of life, of imperfection. It is something that will be cured."

[Swerto]

"And I look forward to curing that state of being with you, I'll see you out in the world... Orcslayer"

Swerto stood up from the table and headed for the sewer exit where he had his flight machine tethered.

[Rohan Orcslayer]

"Orcslayer... My father's name... Before that it was Drakebane... I need my own name..."

Rohan thinks for a moment, "Hmm.. Knightslayer. Seeing as how all those armored necromancers consider themselves Knights."
