This is rather intriguing.

Something like this could help with some post-cartel-esque RP policing.

I thought it was the Cartel Enforcers take 2.

I was afraid someone would mention this, and I did my best to try and make it sound different. I apologize.

Let me assure you that this is not Cartel 2. I never had a character with them, and never really got to play with them. Though I wish I had.

Whereas the Enforcers were more hitmen and mercs, Ravenholdt is more "cultish." If you ever did the Ravenholdt rogue quests, the NPCs there even state that their masters answer to a higher power. This higher power is unnamed.

I thought it would be entertaining to play cold, efficient assassins who don't know why or care why they are killing, just that they are ordered to do so. Horde or Alliance, doesn't matter.

The idea is very small right now, and if only a few sign up, great! But I've been having terrific time with this myself as I level my rogue, and have definately found some challenges, especially since this is my first rogue. For example, Southshore is much more difficult to get out without getting killed than I first thought. For whatever reason, there are a lot of high levels just running and jumping around there.

And that's the idea. Getting in, making the kill, and getting out without getting killed. It's challenging, especially for someone who's not 80. Fun for all levels.

I really wish someone would take up the job the enforcers once had. They were a great influence on this server when Sowell was in charge. I really miss being a part of them and the community. I didn't say that this was going to be that, I just said they could fill that niche of an RP police... though not in a set guild so hunting them down and finding out who they are would be all but impossible. It's just a shame you're cutting it down to rogues considering I can get ravenholdt rep with my warrior... comeon... I could be an informant or something!

But in all seriousness if you need help or anything just get ahold of me, I know some people who may be interested.

So, do you focus on killing your one target, and that's it?

More or less. Again, think secret society cult. We would not be RP policing, because quite frankly that's not something I'd like to undertake, nor do I have the manpower to do so. It's just a very casual RP event to any who are interested in a more assassination role.

Like I said, it's maybe once a month or so, we gather, we select a target town or area, pick a target or targets if we have multiple members together, and assassinate. Then we get out unscathed. That's the key there. The challenge, to stalk and be patient and wait for the perfect time and then get out before anybody even knows what happened. I've been practicing by myself lately, and some places are harder to crack than others. So we learn from our mistakes and find out every way to get in and out of an area. When we're finished we might "debrief" and then go on our separate ways, back to our "normal" RP lives. Because we're secret and all.

Levels don't matter. Whichever members can join us on a particular assassination are welcome to join up. There are challenging towns for all experience levels.

This would all be backed by RP interaction and story, naturally, but that's the gist of it.

You know...this is reminding me quite a bit of the old Saniguary (sp) that we ran here awhile back...especially if Ravenholdt takes contracts...

I miss that kinda stuff ;.;

Sounds like it would be a fun RP experience if it all works out. :)

Would this require the characters to be in game 'rogues' or no?
