first the honor system is going bye bye, no more competition. Now a token system (maybe) and a new PvP game (BG). A battle arena!! where horde teams of liek 5 can face other horde teams. Liek guildes vs guildes. Whos guild is better...etc etc(wow....that sounds liek a good idea)Like everything i ever discussed with people of what would make WoW PvP better is coming true. Its asa if my thoughts got out or made people actually scratch their heads and have the same idea!!!

For starters, two major changes are being made to PvP: one, the game's existing "honor" system is being revamped so that it will no longer be a competitive ladder. Instead, players will be able to, according to lead game designer Tom Chilton, earn honor "at their own pace," and use their honor points as currency to spend on rewards. Secondly, Burning Crusade will add an all-new form of PvP: an arena combat system, which lets players form teams of two to five players and go up against other teams in designated arenas."



so it seems my idea's of a new BG shoud be an arena and the idea of a new system much liek Rep is coming true. This will finallt kick ass.


So blizzard is now thinking of the small people. The ones who play with their friends and have guilds of liek 25 people. Their thinking of those who cant devote 60+ hrs to gain honor so they can hit rank 10 by next month. Bout damn time...

I totally agree with you Cedes. The revamps will be totally awesome! And, they are even bringing back world PvP. I can't wait!

i so not looking forward to the rewards...even tho i cant wait to have the epic weapons. Its just....right now liek every arms spec warrior on the BGs have liek 1 on 3 two-handers. Fhen's new sword, my unstopable force, and maybe the untamed blade(could be this other sword too..almost a tie). I once said, when i finally got TUF "Yay, now im in the TUF club." And its true, so ture...

Now every horde warrior will have that 2handed sword. but its ok, once everyone has the saem pvp armor and weapons it should be interesting. Still dont get how everyone believes that the 2handed sword is the best rank 14 weapon. I personally want the axe.

The arena will be the best ever. I wanna see which guild is better. Since its a bracket deal and the arena has its own system, much liek a chest game. I wanna see who is the best horde guild 3-5 man and who is the best alliance 3-5 man teams. Then have a battle of whos best of TN.

I have a feeling affording but one of the new level 70 epic pvp reward weapons will be such a high cost that only regular PvPers will be able to afford them anytime soon.

Imagine the current HWL grind spread out over as much time as you want.

I hope it will be better than that... but you could be right Fenhir. Blizzard makes it take as much time as they possibly can for you to get anywere so that you don't get done with everything, get bored, and quit.

I don't hope it will take less time, because I want to see those weapons still be something worth earning.

If they're as common as the TuF what's the point? :?

Hurm, true... but... whats the point of getting em if they aren't as good as the ones you get in the arena anyway? They really need to make them worthwile if it takes that long. Currently the high warlord weapons are some of the best in the game. If it takes a two month grind to get one, when you could arena for three months and get something better? But... I'm sure they considered all of this, and I'm sure they learned a lot with the origial PvP system and are making it better.

Eh, I don't really care about the old ones. They'll probably make those considerably easier to get.

What I'm talking about are the new, level 70 epic ones they'll no doubt (or damn well better) have for us. I want those to be worth earning.

They had better be. I was talking about the new ones too. According to one intervewier (don't ask me who, I forget...) the gear that you get through the arena would be the same as the stuff you got from PvE, and slightly better than the honor rewards. So... if you could get better stuff from the arena, whats the point of grinding for two months. Unless you needed it to compeate well.

the only way i see blizzard making the token system effective so that you still gotta work for it is to make it liek ZG and AQ coin/ scarubs.


Like u get 3 tokens per win and 1 for a loss. Maybe you need 300k tokens for a epic mount or soemthing. Maybe add some gold to that price as well?


its gunna be something crazy so you'll have to work for it. But no more grind thank god.



hopefully the arena rewards will be epic helms, epic chests, epic belt(maybe) and epic boots(maybe). that way you can have full epic BG rep armor :D
