View Full Version : TNG dead?

Got Chingaso to 60 well within my self imposed deadline (hell, 2 weeks early), so I went back to VCo to play Ventra...
WTF? 1 Guildmember. You guessed it, me.
Is this a failed experiment? I'm actually having some fun playing the haughty, my race is cleaner than your smelly race, airhead warrior elf.

I rerolled horde on the server. Saw Brom still online this morning, and Finde and Scyrah are still lurking as well as Acitrom and Stuekar.
But yeah...I'm an orc now. Sexay!!!!

I might reroll, but I am going to at least try and stick around.
Congratulations on 60!

Considering that Pincus still has 1/3 of your soul, not a bad idea...

What can I say, I know wen to cut my losses. :D
But on a serious note...Orcs have always been my favorite race...I found the Ironforge Regiment was what got me roleplaying a dawrf because I loved the militaristic aspect. Now if only I could fina a militaristic Orc guild on Vco I'd be set!

I'm on mostly in the mornings. I see Finde or Acitrom occasionally, but that's pretty much it. I think Scyrah left TNG for Scarlet Sisterhood.

Yeah..now that the initial rush is over, there's usually only 1 or 2 people on at any given time. Sometimes there will be a small flood of people, which usually indicates that TN went down, but they usually disappear as soon as TN comes back up.
Vhael left during the first or second week and last I talked to him was an officer in the Magi of Stormwind. I can't remember his name, but one of the Grim alts joined the Dark Brotherhood and was having fun there I think. Scyrah and Raelene joined the Scarlet Sisterhood and both are giving positive reports from that guild. Although "OMG, I look hawt in this tabard!!!" seems to be the unifying theme.
So we are now the alt-guild that we always said we were gonna be. If you are wanting to play "full time" on VeCo, then I would suggest finding another guild that has a few more people on at any given time.
TNG belongs to the AOG, so we do try to be active with some of the other RP guilds, however they seem to be mostly in the 30-40ish range level wise, so I haven't seen us grouping up with them much.
Anyway, I'm still there and having fun. Acitrom is 29 and I'll probably keep him there till either Stuekar catches up or I hit 225 blacksmithing.
I admit I've been having fun with insta-queue BG's. I don't have to worry about signing up and then an hour later take a bio break only to find that I got the call and now I'll have to go re-queue for another hour wait.
Although it seems like every Horde is either a shaman (slow totem), hunter (concussion), priest (fear), rogue (crip poison), or warlock (fear) so I spend most of the time either spinning my wheels in quicksand or running around like a chicken without any control over my actions.

...
I hate playing a priest.
I tried a druid... and I hate night elves.
And I loves me some Grim and the lack of Nadea responding to my arpee.

Similarly, as much as I wanted to keep up with a couple people who have decided to make VC a more permanent home (Castor! :( ), I love Fhen too much to start over now.

idk about military, maybe a tribal "to the death" tye guild.
something of a Klingon characteristic style maybe

i was the same way. Still am...
I eventually had to tell myself that college is coming and its time to put em down *grabs the gun with tears flowing down his face*(j/k)
I miss the game now and im working on a character my brother made before i took over. Im gunna finish it and move her to a friends server so i can play with someone i actually know.(wish my friend was on a pvp server and my brothers warrior was on a pvp server as well >.<...Then i could double transfer her here adn play with fhenny :D)

=O
I don't have problems rerolling, but perhaps it's because of how I look at it. I just ask myself one question: Am I having fun?
If that question is "no" then I have no problem looking for fun somewhere else. I don't care what "phat lootz" or anything else I've aquired with a toon. If I'm not having fun, its time to either reroll or quit playing.
I hear so many people use the excuse that they can't reroll because "they've invested so much time into thier toon." I heard this a lot when I chatted with a few of my old PvP buddies from TN. Who cares? Honestly? If you're not having fun what the hell are you holding on too?
I quoted Fhen, but don't take this the wrong way. You're enjoying Fhen so you should keep playing Fhen. The last thing I want is someone to reroll and be miserable.
But to any of the other people out there, people who are miserable but won't reroll a new toon because they're afraid of change: Just do it. It doesn't have to be a differnent server. It can be the same one. Maybe a change of faction is in order. But don't play a toon that you're not having fun with. You can get a lot more out of $15 per month then misery. Play WoW. Have fun. Do whatever you want.
Just don't be afraid to reroll because your toon has epix (or whatever).

Mm, like I said.
It's not the gear or the time invested (although it does certainly help).
I just love Fhenrir too much.

I have a lvl ... 5? .. undead mage over there now.. though I've been swamped with Pylith due to officer crap in the guild, not to mention the GL going on vacation so the captains having to run things all last week.. /sigh
Soon.. very soon, I think I really -am- going to retire my Captain position.. I'm just getting officer burn-out.

Im come to the conclusion that Ill never have an alliance character past 30. I rerolled Horde, but of course not without a story.

As you can see I am rarely on (these forums and the game). I have been very busy with work and stuff. TNG for me was always an alt guild. I don't plan on playing Saimah unless TN goes down. So that is why I haven't been around at all.

Maybe we could have "TNG Day" or somethin'?
I dunno. I played my warlock on VCo most of yesterday. Only saw two folks pop in the whole day. Had a mildly amusing run at Van Cleef, though, and got my lock a succubus and a bunch of flight paths.
Alliance Mass Transit = FTL

I might start playing Federico more, but he can be somewhat difficult, as he's a total moron, thinks everything shorter than him is a dwarf, and is convinced that his pet boar Stumpy is a gnome that lost his hands while fleeing the Gnomeregan disaster. He can't understand why others never seem to hear what Stumpy says.
Oh, his own hearing is going as well. ("Kill Defias Loiterers....they just loiter about, what harm could they be doing....ooooooo, unless they're loitering with INTENT! Kill!").
In other words, the worst PUG member for an instance run. ("Fool the goblin? Fool him how? Oh....PULL the goblin...but all I see are dwarfs. Where are the goblins?")

Don't misunderstand me, I'll never "quit" Chingaso. Just developed into 'way too good a character. Plus I really like Horde better. But playing out this character on VCo (especially today while TN was being "retrofitted") is still pretty fun.

A friend started a fem pally named Diadorra who would like to be in TNG. Maybe I can even get her to sign up here (even though I begged her to not roll a pally).

you should be able to invite her into the guild. Let me know if you don't have permissions.
