>>Declaration posted at numerous points around azeroth<<

By order of Highlord Fordragon, The Forces of Stormwind keep and The Alliance hereby declare the lands known as "The Blasted Lands", Netherguard Keep, and the surrounding area resticted to Alliance forces only.

Any and all persons/humanoids found in these areas will be terminated with extreme prejudice by Stormwind Keep's elite "Legends" shock troops. The area known as "The Dark Portal" has seen recent activity and the Wizards of Dalaran must be protected at all costs to study the phenomenon and determine if our world is again in danger of being invaded by foul demonspawn.

((trying to get some RP going for the expansion...woudl be fun to turn the portal entrance into a battlefield))

Running allong the dirt roads in the Barrens, towards Warsong Gulch, Vilmah noticed a group of less seasoned Horde members standing in front of a dying tree. Posted on the tree was a parchment. Vilmah brought Edmund to a halt, and slid off of his back.

"What's going on here?" She asked a young Orc.

"The Alliance is taking things a little too far, this time," he answered angrilly. "Read this!"

Vilmah pushed her way through the crowd, and read the letter. It was translated haphazardly into Orcish, at which she frowned. Turning back towards the members of the Horde, who looked both worried and angry, she spoke in a loud voice.

"As if we'd ever let them do this! They don't own whatever they want; this is OUR home, too!"

The younger Hordelings grunted and cheered in approval. Vilmah grabbed the parchment, and ripped it from the tree.

"Don't EVER let them discourage you!" She shouted, before tearing it in two.

Kurohane's eyes wandered over the notice that hung near the bank in Darnassus... once, twice. Demonspawn and horde... She grimaced faintly.

"What is it now, my heart?" Xelthan asked in fluid Darnassian as he approached, knowing that expression she wore far too well these days.

"It would seem the call to arms has sounded in The Blasted Lands, love," she answered, unable to help the grimace melting into a smile at the sight of her fiance.

"And..?" He returned, peering over her shoulder at the notice.

"We will answer, of course."

He grinned in return, but then, he always did when matters of battle were being discussed.

-He clenched the note furiously in his fist-

"All this time Iv'e been asleep and now I see what chaos is unleashed in my slumber. Couldn't you have brought this to me sooner?! Those meatless legs of yours don't run that slow do they?!"

-He slapped his companion, not enough to do harm, but enough to annoy the warrior-

Sevarith looked up with a horrid scowl. He couldn't feel any pain, but a slap itself was insulting. The priest eyed the glare he was given.

"Don't you dare look at me like that an..."

His expression turned to that of fury to guilt.

"I'm sorry. I need to get my anger under control, I know. but this!"

He gestured to the note given.

"This is unbelievable. We cannot let them have a victory in contested territory. We must stop this before we let it go to their heads."

The Forsaken shrugged off the insulting slap and replied with a nod. The priest slowly walked away, not before launching the ball of parchment into the Undercity river.

Zasien turned, he was on his way to speak with the shamans in the Valley of Wisdom when he noticed a gathering around a dead tree. A female orc shouted, "Don't you EVER let that discorage you," angrily and held a peice of parchment in the air, tearing it into two ragged peices.

Zasien ran towards them, and said, "What is going on here?" while placing a tremor totem to get their attention.

Sanrin

Sanrin yawned.

It really wouldnt seem like anything usual, unless you knew enough that Sanrin, in fact...rarely yawned. Only a few things could possibly set off the suggestion to a yawn, and indeed even those were difficult to come upon. Boredom, displeasure, or sleepiness generally set these rare moments off. And it was as Sanrin walked through the shadowy hills of Darkshire, a hand placed gently upon his mouth, another clutching a small note, Sanrin contemplated the source of his boredom.

"You know Scratch, at this rate we might be in trouble..." he spoke leaning heavilly on his ram, aptly named Johnathan.

The small spider squeaked in excitement, scampering behind with little delay, occasionally taking the time to investigate the smaller bug inhabitants crossing the road.

"Ah well," Sanrin spoke softly, heaving a soft sigh as Scratch crawled up along his leg to eventlly perch cheerfully on his shoulder, "this seems pretty silly to me, having everyone kill one another. At this point the demons will have little to do."

The rest of his walk was quiet, and uneventful... Spider, Ram, and Human understanding the nature of their position in the Blasted Lands:

To keep the peace as best they could, for now.

Zasien ran towards them, and said, "What is going on here?" while placing a tremor totem to get their attention.

Vilmah turned to see Zasien. She took the reigns of her riding wolf, Edmund, in her hands, and handed Zasien the pieces of the torn parchment.

"It would seem that the Alliance are about as honorable as a pride of feral cats. Read this," she said in reference to the parchment. "Their idea of justice is as skewed as their idea of peace. I'm not going to stand for it, and I highly suggest that you don't either. Contested terriritory does not equal a battleground, but if they want to make it one, then so be it. I refuse to allow innocent members of the Horde to be slaughtered because the Alliance wants to lay claim to everything."

Zasien took the parchment, and placed the peices together on the ground, so he could read the note. Just as he finished, his hearthstone flickered. "Exuse me," he requested, and snatched it from his belt. It was Zusteakai, "Balance must be mantained. If you havent heard already, or seen their notices, Stormwind declares that any Horde seen in the blasted lands will be slain. Go there, my brothers. You've taken an oath to maintain balance. Now is our time to do just that. For the House of Kai!"

He muttered back through his, too quitely for the orc to hear, "Not sure I entirely agree, this is about peace, not balance. And they will not give us peace, so we must give them war."

Then he adressed the orc calmly while slipping his hearthstone back into the pouch on his belt, "Would you be so kind as to take this..." He stopped for a moment, and copied the messege on the torn peice of parchment too one from his bag, and added to it:

"The Blasted Lands are considered a contested territory, and they are not controlled by any faction. Due to this message, we must take action. Go to the allaince, and fight them, untill not one of those who call Dark Portal theirs remains.

-Champion Zasien, Master of The House of Kai."

"... and post it in thunder bluff? Tear down origional note. I'll put one in the undercity, and one here."

Latria sits on the edge of the table where Ciani is taking her breakfast. Her eyes, their brighter than normal glow the only recognizable hint of her true self, taking the mage in possessively.

"Did you ssee this?" Latria hands Ciani a brief note. "Sseemss Fordragon wisshess the Alliance to take and hold the area around the Dark Portal." She chuckles. "Ass if they won't need the help of the Horde sshould the Legion make a move."

"Oh fun. We're all 'working together again,' I presume?" Ciani takes the letter and looks at it.

Latria shakes her head. "Quite the oppossite it would sseem. Fordragon wantss the Alliance forcess to sstamp out any that might come to the Portal and interfere with activity there."

"Hmmm. That doesnt sound like Fordragon. Shall we go look at the danger zone ourselves? Who knows, we might get kidnapped!" Ciani smiles excitedly.

Latria bristles a bit and sighs. "I will never undersstand why you sso enjoy making my job more difficult." The seemingly elven druid smiles wryly. "But, yess. Thiss could be interessting."

"You know its gonna be fantastic! Let's go." Ciani rises from the table, abandoning her meal entirely in her haste. Latria falls in step behind her as they head out of the inn.

The dry hot wind accosted her face, the sand stinging her nose, as she lead the small group down from Netherguard Keep. Barke’s blades glistened with freshly applied poisons. Kiraena glowed faintly with the light of Elune. Lyselia perched upon the back of her saber, bow in hand, her pet saber at her side – much as Kurohane did as well. For an hour they traversed The Blasted Lands, only ever finding trace of one single horde in the area, who was mercifully put down with swiftness. How the rogue thought he could outride Barke was still beyond her. Finally, it was decided that the Horde must have actually grown brains, for the most part, and took heed to the warning that this was now Alliance land. Satisfied or disappointed, depending on who you asked, the four night elves made their way back to the various Alliance capitols.

"... and post it in thunder bluff? Tear down origional note. I'll put one in the undercity, and one here."

Vilmah raised an eyebrow and smiled. "Say.. .you're of the House of Kai, aren't you? Heh, I should have known... tell Zusteakai I said hello, won't you?"

She took the parchment, and read it over. "Truth be told, I'd like to go to the Blasted Lands myself. I know that two wrongs don't make a right, but... actually... I do indeed have business there. Perhaps you could ask the House if there are any within it who would like to accompany me there?"

"I'll ask, but I can't make any guarantees, we are still struggling to get membership. And before I tell Zusteakai you said hello, I'd need to know whos saying hello, wouldn't I. As you probibly know from reading that..." Zasien guestured at the note, "I'm Zasien. And you are?"

Niethan

Niethan had heard the announcement through his hearthstone, though he wasn't very happy about it. The light in the Blasted Lands hurt his eyes, so he rarely went there. He didn't particularly wish to return; it was creepy there.

But, one thing Niethan had seen was that fighting of any sort rarely stayed where it had started. He put away the hearthstone and pulled out a List of things to do, then began adding supplies to it. No sense in being unprepared.

Vilmah extended her hand.

"Vilmah; Vilmah Bloodborne, of Sanctuary. We have had... many ties with your guild leader, and most of your members for that matter, in the past. We should like to continue having such friendly partnerships in the future. Perhaps this will bring us together further."

Zasien took her hand and shook it, "Sanctuary, so your with Grisch! Nice to meet you Vilmah. Now, I must be on my way." He waved goodbye and whistled for his raptor. It came quicky. He mounted and pulled out his hearthstone. "Zusteakai, Vilmah from Sanctuary says hello, I think they will be our allys in this fight."

Voljaan had been spending a lot of time wandering around Orgrimmar lately, looking for some meaning to his life. No sign of anything had turned up. When he saw this, though...

"So, they want to shut us out, eh? Want to take controll of somethin' that's not theirs? They want ta be fightin' us? Fine, we'll give 'em a fight they won't be forgettin'."

He turned and walked back to the Valley of Honor. He found something to do with his life, but to do so, he would first need to get his gear out of the bank.
