Physical Features: Bellsa has no telltale scars or markings on her body that could set her apart from other healthy tauren, nor does she have any obvious unhealed injuries. Her horns are relatively small, turned down, and colored an off white that darkens at the tips. She usually wears her mane in two braided loops in order to keep it out of the way as she works.
Special Abilities:
Positive Personality Traits: Perhaps her best trait is her willingness to accept others and give them that second chance that others might not. She makes an effort not to be judgmental, especially when she does not know their story, and tends to feel somewhat motherly toward those that are significantly younger. Because her work as a healer has defined so much of her life, she feels obligated to offer assistance to any she may be able to help, even if they are enemies.
Negative Personality Traits: Bellsa can be very single minded and stubborn when it comes to her work, often not knowing when to let go of something.
Misc. Quirks: She is often seen with a brown owl called Mochni. She believes that he is not simply an animal, but a spirit guide sent to her by her late brother. She tends to take offense when others decide to call him or treat him as merely a 'pet'.
Theme Songs:
History: Bellsa was born to a small wandering tribe, the youngest of two living children in the family. Her mother perished while attempting to deliver a third child, leaving Bellsa's grandmother to raise both her and her older brother, Adhay. It was her shaman grandmother, who began teaching her the arts of medicine from an early age and on into adulthood while her brother followed the path of the hunter.
At the same time that her grandmother lay dying of old age, the few other hunters that the small tribe had failed to return to the camp after a hunting expedition. After their grandmother had finally passed that evening Bellsa left with her brother to seek out the others. Hours later, their search brought them to a temporary camp where they found the remains of the hunting party and evidence of a skirmish with the elves of the north. During their investigation of the site, they came into contact with the few elves still holding up nearby. Although they had never intended for their search to escalate into a battle, the tensions between the two parties became too much. A competition for a hunting site and a misunderstanding proved to be all that was needed to spark trouble. Both Bellsa and Adhay were able to survive the battle, however it left the young hunter with terrible wounds. Still learning her trade, Bellsa's knowledge at the time was not enough to save him. Before his last breath, he promised her that she would not be left alone in this life and that he would send a spirit to guide her. She stayed with him throughout the night, forced to watch helplessly as her brother passed on before her very eyes.
Overcome with grief at her recent losses and shaken by her incredibly lonely situation, Bellsa wandered for days with no real goal in mind. It was while she was in this state that she came across an injured owl. She found herself unable to simply leave him, and so attempted to heal him. He accepted her aid with a calmness that she could never have expected, and once healed refused to leave her. Completely convinced that this was the spirit guide her brother had told her about, she gave him the name Mochni.
It was during her continued wandering, shortly after finding Mochni, that Bellsa crossed paths with a small band of orcs that was seemingly led by an older shaman. Bellsa was welcomed into their group, and slowly learned their language. While traveling with them she was able to continue her training under their shaman. They informed her of the creation of Thunder Bluff, of Thrall and Orgimmar, answering any questions that she thought of to ask. She remained with them for a long time, finding herself feeling quite at home with them. All the while, her interest in Thunder Bluff continued to grow. She eventually parted ways with the group to see the city she had been told about.
After making her home in Thunder Bluff, Bellsa set out to improve her knowledge of medicine even further by taking up alchemy and began to offer her aid to those risking their lives on the battlefields. After hearing of them, Bellsa eventually became a member of Sanctuary, where her story continues.
