The book opens, and the frayed edges of the first twenty or so pages greets one's eye. On the first unbroken page is one line in neat calligraphy:

Let's start over, hm?

1-24, year 1:

Nothing really happened... well -- I lie.

The Alliance had a good day today.. it was pathetic. First Wintergrasp, then the Gulch in Ashenvale. I broke myself from the fist before the Strand of the Ancients fell under assault. I was embarrassed, as we all should have been.

Then the leaders get attacked. All of them, Thrall at -least- twice. They were swift.. didn't set off a single alarm when they attacked Thrall the second time. I saw them fall there, but I'm not sure if they ended up slaying him or not -- I .. took leave.

Still, I feel a sense of pride that we defended him for a short while, if anything. Perhaps it is a sign of pleasant tomorrows.

Note: Resupply for the Steward's assault tomorrow...

1-25,

Met with some elders today.. the ones in Alliance cities and the Eastern Kingdoms. It was... unpleasant, but I made it through with my hide intact, not a single falter in my trek through the cobblestone streets of Stormwind or the welded metal of Ironforge. I suppose I am lucky.

Spoke with one in Northrend. I found it peculiar there were none in Outland until I realized that Outland is another world.. hm, still.. the Mag'har might qualify ... if their souls weren't being devoured by the Void in Oshu'gun.

Oh well...

2-2,

Missed the Enforcer's assault last night. I'm sure that won't go over well.

Today I need to fish, and grill myself sustenance for the Steward's assaults this week.

Note: Look to enter Azjol'Nerub and Grundrak.

2-4,

Assault last night went well, except now that I reek of ... a corpse, actually. Still, whoever this arm belonged to before I took possession of it was quite powerful. I will see if I can deodorize it later.

The Death Knights should fall tomorrow, not tonight as most would hope. Our mid-week attendance has been pitiful, so we will probably split ourselves into more subtle groups and attack at the outlying Scourge in the area. ... Maybe.

Still can't find the last two Elders I want to find, I might have to resort to consorting with the Mad to do so.

I soon expect to see hearts and candy replace the moonlight and fireworks.
I'm ... not looking forward to it.

2-6,

We've defeated the Lich. It was... the most wonderful vengeance.

The one being who explicitly caused the destruction of the Sunwell, the mage turned necromancer turned cult leader turned lich.

Another threat falls before the Grim, but this one was definitely personal, as it should have been to all the blood elves who fought with us. Though, really I doubt either Qabian or Nymare saw it that way. Mordria might have.. maybe the blood knights with us... I know I did.

The Steward's Hexxer then took us to ... one of the most spectacular realms I've ever seen, then: The Spell-Weaver's personal chamber. It was originally disorienting, especially with him siphoning huge amounts of magic everywhere. My skin tingled at the feel of it.

We were defeated, but not before he shattered the ring we stood on and flooded the entire sky with arcane. It ... was a most indescribable feeling, one I must feel again. It wasn't pleasant per se, but I am compelled to return.

Either way.. I must retain Control next time, so that another enemy of the Grim falls.

Next week....

2-7,

Thrall mailed me a notice to pick up a Black War Bear from the Horde stable keepers this evening.

I'm quite proud, if I do say so.

Also, it is nice to see that even with his Pact of Non-Aggression, the Warchief still knows a good thing when he sees one.

Also, the High Inquisitor took a picture of us after our victory with one of those gnomish (or goblin? No... too few explosives) devices and gave us all a copy.. hm, let me paste it in here..... (I'm front left corner.)

Peace Through Annihilation.

.... I think I'll name him Lothien, in remembrance of my old Brigade comrade, may his spirit rest in peace.

Yes, that will do nicely.

2-10,

The accomplishments continue.

Today all magic users, yes, even those of the Alliance, can rejoice for Malygos the Spell-Weaver was defeated by the Grim.

The Queen, Alexstrazsa, didn't award us anything that I consider if consequence, though a couple of our shamans are happy.

Also, start collecting gifts tomorrow, the goblins begin peddling their lovey-dovey crap.

2-25,

A smaller number of us assaulted Naxxramas this week, not because we had to, but to show the Scourge that even with their numbers, all threats will fall to the Grim cause.

On the other hand, however, I've not been attending the Hand's raids, which I should rectify. I've just been... well, busy I guess.

Otherwise, I'm proving to be one of the most effective of the Steward's deathdealers, and my rewards and trinkets are piling up in my bank vaults. The downside is that to resupply myself with constant enchants and gems is taking a toll on my gold reserves. I suppose I will have to commit myself to helping the various organizations around Northrend to refill my pockets.

We will see.
