Cross-faction mods..

just out of curiousity - are there mods for WoW that allow cross-faction chat? I don't see any point in having one on the RP servers (like TN) but on some non-RP servers I have some friends who play horde while I play alliance. Is there a mod that will allow us to chat? Right now I use Xfire, but something in-game would be cool.

Cross faction communication is forbidden by Blizzard. Any mod that allowed it in-game would be disallowed, and subject to banning.

Ah...well that certainly explains the lack of them.

They should make it so that languages of other races can be learned, even if it was made difficult for a character to achieve it. Would add some interesting elements to the game.

Used to be possible. Added a lot. Most notably new ways to grief people that killed you in PvP. Sadly cross faction communication is another cool thing lost to many because some cannot control themselves and/or do not care.

Sadly, this is exactly why they got rid of cross faction communication. A bunch of jerks couldn't control themselves around the opposite faction, so apparently those of us who can control ourselves are not worthy.

[Fallacy]

FlagRSP actually works cross-faction, but only if you have characters on both sides. It saves that information, so you can go to the opposite faction and see the same information.
