History:

Rohan Orcslayer was born in Stratholme, the son of the renown Knight of the Silver Hand; Dagren the Orcslayer. (http://www.wowwiki.com/Dagren_the_Orcslayer) Rohan was to follow in his father's footsteps, becoming a Paladin of Lordaeron.

Then the Culling began.

Rohan's mother fell to the plague. Unwilling to believe his mother was gone, Rohan slayed two soldiers trying to slay his zombifide mother. It was only after witnessing his mother devouring one of the soldiers' remains that he tearfully put her down.
Insanity afflicted Rohan as he escaped into the wilderness of Lordaeron. Believing himself damned to the Nether for his actions, he was unable to call upon the Light. Hatefully, he decided to slay the Prince that had ruined his life in a fit of insanity.
However, when Arthas ransacked the City of Lordaeron, Rohan managed to pull himself out of darkness of his mind to aid the poor people in escaping the nightmare.
A noble action, punished by imprisonment.
Rohan was held prisoner by the Scourge as they constructed the Undercity.
When Sylvanas betrayed the Alliance and took Lordaeron for herself, he was then held as a test subject. Ironically forsaken by the demented Apothecary Society, his fate was no less horrid as he heard the screams of their victims day-in and day-out for two full years.

Rohan was in hell.

However, when the Apothecary finally turned their twisted gaze his way, he took his revenge. Rohan found himself once again able to call upon the Light in the name of Justice. Killing the Deathguard and the Apothecary who opened his cell, Rohan escaped the Undercity into the Blighted forest of Tirisfal Glades.

There he was found by the newly formed Order of the Scarlet Crusade.

Believing this to be Redemption, Rohan willing joined the cause.
Although he could never be a Paladin, Rohan would serve the Light as a Scarlet Crusader.
Rohan's vigor to fight against the undead was his saving grace, as he was uncorrupted by Isillien's Inquisitors, however, he was also ignorant of his brethern's plight.

After learning of his father's demise in resistance of Arthas' tyranny, Rohan set out to recover his father's weapon and gave his father's arrow-ridden corpse a proper, but lonely funeral within the ruined city of Lordaeron.

Rohan's devotion to the Order did not go unnoticed, he was informed in the Scarlet Enclave that he was soon to be made a Commander in the Scarlet Crusade, and was hopeful for the expedition to Northrend.

However, Rohan's life was to be marked by another atrocity as the Ebon Hold decended upon the Enclave. The innocent people and his bretheren alike were slaughtered by the Death Knight wretches. Rohan survived, as did few of the remaining Scarlet Army in the Holy Citadel of Tyr's Hand, and swore to avenge the innocents lost in the holocaust by slaying any Death Knight he came across.

And so, Rohan turned his sights towards Northrend, and the newly formed Knights of the Ebon Blade.

Orcslayer? You don't say. Cute.

Yeah, ive seen him around. Too much really. he comes into the Filthy Animal every now and then. Why, I do not know. Its obvious he isn't welcome. Another time I was searching for mushrooms behind the arena huts, I look up and there was this guy. Its kind of creeping me out a bit.

"My first encounter with this fella was when he muscled his way into a private meeting of the Council and attempted to disrupt it. I can't say I wholly disagree with his opinions regarding the existence of the free Death Knights, but he didn't leave a favorable impression."

Nel smiles darkly. "Rohan... sweet, sweet Rohan... my little thorn. He dislikes those that wear my tabbard. I'm really not sure what to think of him. Not sure if he's just an angry child, or someone who truly believe his ways are right. But in the end, we all fall short... poor boy. I'll dig his grave a bit deeper so that he never has to become what I have. It's the least I can do..."

No matter how many times I knock the fellow unconscious though, he still seems eager for more." The tauren breathes a sigh before shaking her head. "The guy is stubborn as a mule, but I can at least give him credit for seeking as fair of a fight as this harsh world will allow. Maybe one day he'll learn that not all who are different are truly enemies, but I doubt it."

"Humans..." Kali shakes her head before turning to mount her drake and ride off elsewhere.

Rohan stares for a long moment at the goblin. "Whoever asked that question needs to get their facts straight. I have NEVER turned my weapon to an innocent woman or child!" He straightens up, "As for 'Daddy issues'... I was never abused by my father, he was a great father to me." Rohan sighs, "He was a Knight of the Silver Hand... He fought in the Great War, where he earned the title 'Orcslayer' after slaying an orcish warlord with what was left of HIS father's blade." Rohan shakes his head, sadly. "He wanted me to follow in his footsteps... To become a Paladin... To earn my own title... You can clearly see that's not the case."

Well, I mean, I don't much like anything that he stands for or associates himself with, but the kind of guy who pretends not to know who I am, gets called a jackass, and proceeds to stand up and offer his own name, introducing himself as 'Rohan Orcslayer, professional jackass' gets a few points in my book.

Yeah. I like this guy."

Rohan raises an eyebrow, "...That is a VERY odd orc..." He shakes his head at the goblin, "I've no quarrel with the orcish race... After all, we beat them in the Great War, and I saw how pathetic they looked in the internment camps." Rohan takes a drink from his mead and continues, "The name is from when the orcs were truely monsters who deserved to be put down like the rabid dogs they were... But, times have changed, and the orcs have left the Seven Kingdoms to find their own land." Rohan then scowls, "Only orc I really dislike is their feckless leader... Trall or whatever his name is, for allying his people with the..." He spits out the next word, "Forsaken... I suppose you can't hate someone for being foolish, but this level of incompetance is profound!"

I think it's adorable that he can call an elf barbaric when he is known as... "Murderer" is it?... to other adventurers. Orcslayer? Ah, that's right, it is never barbaric when it's convenient. OH, forgive me, by "convenient" I mean "sanctioned by the Light". Hypocrisy is always so amusing, as are truces.

No, I have no questions for him. Only arrows.

No one ever accused a knight of an overabundance of intelligence. He's... just so... illustrative, common, unexceptional. Unfortunately for him, his affection for me is doomed to go unrequited throughout his life of misery and despair as he wakes each morning with only his delusional morality for a reason to keep breathing.

It's really not necessary for him to throw himself on the Sunreavers' wrath in the hopes I might spare a glance his way or have a word or two to share, even if he's just as willing to have his goons beat it out of me as I am willing to have mine find his silence. I've seen enough proof in my lifetime of his kind's... state of mind, and he'll learn just where that leads soon enough.

Rohan laughs as the goblin recites the elf's words.

"Oh, he's just bitter I managed to beat him down, even with all his wretched cousins assaulting me whilst I rained blows upon him."

"Granted, after I managed to subdue him, I barely lasted more than a few moments before being brutally defeated by all those 'Sunreavers'... Still, managed to kick his arse, eh?"

"Seems like a guy I could drink with, I just didn't get the chance to really talk to him before the women and tauren raised a fit about the both of them being there."

*purrs wickedly*

Is...that what it...I mean his name is? Interesting...Well he seemed rather intimidated by Raelynn and myself. Scaramouche too. I saw him and leaned over to Raelynn and said, "Let's play..." She realized what I meant, so we did. I don't think I've seen someone cower and shake for so very long, before. He didn't know where to turn, and no where seemed to offer him a reprieve from our advances.

*giggles and lifts her red hands up to show*

Of course, I had to dip these in boiling water afterward. And we did have to guide him to herd him out of the inn, several times. It's rather good that some of those human men don't appreciate Sin'dorei women up close and personal.

*more giggling*

And it's a really good thing he couldn't speak Orcish. I don't think he would have liked what we said...

*frowns at her teacup* Ask him if he's nearsighted. Eyes like his usually look that way due to myopia.

Obviously, he has a hard time telling the difference between a mage and a warlock. That's one indicator. Insulted me, didn't even know me and called me a warlock. Ironic; his associates would have murdered me and Aveia without blinking when we were trying to escape the Plaguelands, and yet he accuses a total stranger of consorting with monsters...

...Granted, I suffer from Thelsamar senility--I forget everything but my grudges--but he also insulted my husband with that accusation.

Whuzzat? Rohan? Heh, yes I have been seen with him on occasion. He was quite a little pest at first but it seems somehow...he has kind of....grown on me. What? Why? He makes me laugh. When he gets all rightous and indignant about...oh anything really, his ears they turn this beautiful shade of...scarlet. She chuckles at her own little joke My family doesn't care for him too much, and honestly it pisses them off to no end whenever he shows up in the Filthy Animal. Sometimes I do have a bit of concern for him when he is out there doing whatever it is he does. Sometimes.

Not exactly sure what history he had with one of the Forsaken warriors I was assisting that day, but they seemed to be working it out just fine." He wrinkles his nose. "Even if it was a drain on my healing abilities."

Typical Scarlet Crusader. Insane. He decided to pay Silvermoon a visit last night, and was somehow able to identify me as a member of Sanctuary, even though I wasn't even wearing my colors. Swerto looks at the goblin trembling before him, he pulls his axe from the skull of his companion and sets it on the ground before him leaning upon it.

"So, you want to know what I think of Rohan Orcslayer?"

"Rohan is a mindless zealot clinging to a dead cause. He is a mutinous coward with few morals of his own. When the time comes his death will not be short, it will not be painless.

Rohan is the reason my sister is dead. Rohan is to blame for the death of my closest friend. My hatred for him and the crusade is only topped by that of the scourge. Considering the honor of Arthas's death belongs to the Dark Lady herself, I'll never be able to fully satisfy that vengeance. With Rohan, things will be different.

He will beg for death by the time I am done with him. And when I am finally satisified he has suffered enough I will throw him off the tallest cliff I can reach at the time, so he has a good long time to think about things before he hits the ground.

Without the Light behind him Rohan is little more than a weak child, I will crush him where he stands. Death will reach out to embrace him, and I will deny him such by 'cursing' him with undeath. His corpse will be brought back to New Agamand to be reanimated as part of an abomination. The Irony of his fate will not escape him, for I want you to pass this news to him, which is why I allow you to live while I slaughter this entire wretched town with my allies. Go now, take this message to him, let him know the games are over and I am coming for him. It was entertaining while it lasted, but I am bored now."

Swerto motions for the Goblin to leave as he turns back to Southshore.

Lady Tiraline opened her mouth to speak several times, but stopped abruptly when Sir Issachar frowned from behind her. How she perceived his silent expression is beyond this reporter.

Finally, Lady Tiraline stated: "Rohan Orcslayer is someone we do not wish to associate with any more. He is content to be less than he could be, and seems only to want to drag others down with him. We cannot be among them.

"Of all the people we have met in this world, he is among the most self-righteous. He holds you to expectations that he concocts himself, and fails to fulfill himself, but Light help you if you expect anything more from him than he feels inclined to give.

"He is one of the great tragedies of our time," she finished, "because he could be great, and chooses to be mediocre. As long as he rejects any moral compass but his own selfish heart, he will never fulfill that promise."

*Aleria rolls her eyes* I've only really met him once, as he was arguing with a friend of mine... He and I got into a discussion shortly thereafter, and when his own logic folded on him... it works in a circle, you know... he first tried to silence me, and then he tried to threaten me.

He seems the kind of person who can't really justify what he is doing, all he knows is that he has a sword, and he is going to do it.

"He's a powerful Paladin, even if he does not call himself one. Unfortunately he's fallen in with the lot of the Crusaders."

"He was causing quite a ruckus at Noxtrael's tournament, and went so far as to insult a Lady, which I found unacceptable. I tried to tell him that acting in such a way will never get you what you truly want, but he was only focused on proving his might in a duel against me."

"Of course he won, I expected him to. He wished that I yield to him but I would not do so. He was prepared to kill me, I suppose, but I doubt he would have gotten far...there were about five or six people ready to help me."

*Necroxis sighs*

"I truly hope one day the Light embraces him in such a way that it provides him the wisdom to see the error in his ways..."

"I hope..."

*The reporter states that Necroxis walks off after his last statement*

I fought him at Noxtrael's Tourney. It had been a long time since I'd dueled Paladins... since I was with the Order. Our match went on for quite some time, and I eventually offered a draw and he accepted. I've heard a lot of bad things about him, but he seemed alright to me, if a bit gruff. I'd like to meet him under less violent circumstances sometime.

Ranaynne frowns, her eyes narrowing, "You want to know my thoughts regarding Rohanith?"

"I have little to say regarding him as a person; as I don't know him well. What I glean my opinions from thus far are his behavior and Tabard."

A pause, "I saw him at the tourney this past eve.. and already I'd heard some rather questionable things about him. First of all, he is a Scarlet Crusader, and by the Light.. their atrocities are only overlooked because we share a common enemy in the scourge. They kill as many innocents as they do undead.. Witch hunters, slaying any they suspect could possibly be undead. They spill blood, then ask questions. Their dedication to slaying scourge is beyond refute, however their success is tainted by their brash ways."

She sighs, "Religion is so often used to persecute.. It troubles me. I hear that a few leaders in the Scarlet Crusade are little better than demons, at that.. zealots who lay the loose claim of undead as an excuse to murder those they have grudges against while still telling themselves that they are moral individuals."

"As to his behavior at the tournament? Childish, petulant, disrespectful.. He threw his lance upon the ground and broke it after Necroxis defeated him. Later, even after Nexy granted him a rematch, one that Rohan lost, yet again, he became belligerent, insisting on a duel of a melee nature to I suppose bandage his ego, as he had also lost a battle of words to Necroxis."

"T'was shameful, and I felt no remorse in kicking his chest to remove him from Necroxis after the defeat when he tried to belittle the true Paladin by asking him to yield. Nexy was already upon the ground, after all."

"Nexy had already said he did not expect to win a battle of melee, and only consented to the duel to shut that fool up. It amounted to little, and I meant what I told him in that no true Paladin should ever yield to him, and Necroxis certainly would not."

"Face to face with him I stood, and I do not regret my words, that his behavior as a vessel of the Light was a desecration, making him in my eyes no better than a Sin'dorei, and that he should go to reside in Silvermoon if he was going to continue behaving in such a fashion."

"Only a short time before that he had even thrown his drink upon a campfire that I had made to warm myself at the tournament grounds, extinguishing it, simply because he tired of a few words that I had exchanged I had with a mage warning him of his proximity to the blaze." She adds offhandedly, "Mage or not.. I still don't understand why that arcanist was so hostile at my recommendation that he move from the fire lapping at the hem of his robe, but I digress.. "

She frowns again, "At one point some decency came upon him, and he offered me what seemed a barely sincere apology.. His later behavior undid what little positive credit this had given his character, however."

Shaking her head, she finishes, "I've more on my mind that to deal with such a man, one who acts like a drunken bully and uneducated lout, following that Scarlet philosophy."

That fiendish Crusader had a severed hand delivered to me; and a threat included with it for one of my friends. His behavior is appalling.. I hope to see one of our True Light Bearers bring him to heel.. "

Shaking her head, she frowns, "My ways are with the Light's healing.. but perhaps someone will one day cuff him hard enough to knock some sense into.. " She mutters and makes her way through the portal.

I can't say anything too highly of his order, many of them can't seem to tell the difference between the scourge they're fighting and well... everyone else, but this one does. More importantly, he's the only paladin who seems to get it... Necromancy is wrong, the use of fel magic is wrong, and complacency to those evils is wrong too. You can't claim to stand against evil by becoming evil yourself, you've just replaced one monster with another. In this sense, he's the only real paladin I have ever met."

Seated in a corner at the "Cantrips & Crows," a figure, hood drawn, scrawls carefully onto a piece of parchment. The few patrons who have ventured into the Underbelly establishment glance every so often his way, yet he does not pay them any mind.

A goblin bobbles up and down through the threshold into the bar, asking for a Warlock. Pointing to the hooded figure, the Barmaid nods and the interviewer moves towards his table, sitting suddenly in the seat opposite from man. The goblin seems offended as the man doesn't acknowledge his presence. Coughing, the interviewer speaks, "Excuse me, you are the Warlock known as Ivan Zephyr, right?"

The man nods and continues scribbling down various Demonic formulae as the Goblin continues. "Do you know the man known as Rohan Orcslayer?" The quill stops and he begins chuckling, "Ah the Scarlet. Is he dead? Was I the only one you could find who was even remotely associated with him? It wouldn't surprise me. Just throw all of his belongings into the trash--"

The goblin shakes his head, interrupting the Warlock, "No, he isn't dead. I was looking for some commentary regarding him."

Hood still drawn, the Warlock shrugs, "Not much else to say. He's trash. He's one of those idiot Scarlets. Just like my brother and the other Paladins, except for the fact that they fight amongst each other instead of against their enemies. He's boastful and overconfident. He also makes excuses when he's put in his place." Chuckling again, the Warlock waves his hand, "Regardless, there's not much I can say of him, I haven't seen him in a while. Heard he joined those Resettler guys or whatever that group calls itself attempting to hide their slaughter"

Scribbling down the notes, the Goblin looks up to speak, but retracts a bit as a Succubus fades out from invisibility next to it. The Warlock speaks up as the Succubus lashes onto his arm with her whip, "We're done here."

The Succubus escorts the Goblin out of the bar's threshold to the rest of the sewers before the whip unwraps and the demon vanishes again.

The goblin flinches, watching the forsaken known as Inzema tear flesh from the bone of a night elf woman, face going whatever color it is that goblin faces do when they are on the brink of spewing forth their lunch. The woman shivered, eyes on the goblin, silently begging for help and unable to move. The Forsaken looked up from his meal, chewing muscle thoughtfully as his goggles whirred and adjusted, focusing on the primary material plane and primary visual spectrum on the goblin.

"Who? Oh! Right. That Ssscarlet shhhit. Heard of him. Haven't ssseen him." He tears off another piece like a scavenger animal. The goblin vomits. The undead cackles. "Hey, you coulda come back. Yes... I have dealt with this one many times. *The Paladin sits at a bar, slowly sipping a goblet of Melon Juice.* A goblin slowly approaches her. "Excuse me, miss?" *The Paladin sets her goblet on the bar, and slowly turns to face the goblin.*

Ah, you again. *The Paladin sighs lightly.*

The goblin takes a few steps back. "May I ask you about human named Rohan?"

Well I did leave you searching for answers the last time we talked. So I guess that I should give you my opinion on him. *The Paladin chuckles lightly.* He claims that he is a Paladin. *The Paladin frowns slightly.* Him? A Paladin? No.... He has no compassion or understanding. He will kill any being on sight, that he that he sees fit to kill. He kills for the thrill of it. He's more animal like then human. I have run into him several times at Bruuk's. He doesn't like me. That's for sure. *The Paladin shakes her head a little bit.* I am sure that if I ever become a threat to him, that he will attempt to deal with me. That doesn't mean I'm afraid of him however. I am far from being afraid of him. The bigger they are, the harder they fall. *The Paladin grins slightly.* I will defend myself from him and any others if I ever need to. Until then, I will keep a close eye on him. Maybe he will realize that he is going down the wrong path. Although it may be too late for him. That is none of my concern. I have no control over what he does. I feel nothing but pity for him. That is what I think of Rohan. At least a glimpse of it. *The Paladin takes one last sip from her goblet before slowly standing up from the bar.* If you will excuse me, I must be going. *The Paladin leaves a few silver pieces on the counter, and walks out into the bustling streets of Dalaran.*

As the small green Goblin enters the tavern, he instantly notices a group of young men, none of them over 20, sitting at a large table drinking and loudly arguing. He slowly walked over, drawing the picture and going over to the tallest, a young man with long black hair, identified by his tabard identifying him as a Stormwind Marine.

"Excuse me, Marine, do you know Rohan Orcslayer?" He asked, holding up a picture of the crusader. Micael looked at it for a moment before nodding. "Yes, I do." The Goblin looked expecting for more, but the boy did not offer it. "Any thing to say?" The paladin fixed his eyes on the goblin, green eyes to green skin.

"Fine. He is powerful, strong, brave and he is also stupid, arrogant and has a bit of a problem when it comes to Elves. Apparently he goes off and attacks Silvermoon alone. His service to the Light seems to fit the term Willing to die for, even if it means suicide. Oh yeah, and I wouldn't talk to him. He seems to have a bit of a temper and might punt your green ass to Northrend." Micael begins to turn away when the Goblin, who is walking out, mumbles something about the Gazette.

"Oh yeah, I wouldn't publish this report. He do that little punting thing we discussed."
