Crossrealm BG'ing is crazy...

So, I've been messing around on the PTR's. I copied a warrior (because Fallacy's gear sucks) and have been running around the Undercity, and the Plaguelands. I go to the battlemasters, and my jaw drops. 66 Warsong games going on at the same time, at least 20 AB, and nine AV. In the actual BG, it's just mayhem. So many different people, and I rarely ever see the same Alliance twice.

And I've never been in a losing game. That's a better track record than with the PUG's I've had with Fallacy.

The test realm would probably be a better place to test out the world PvP then the cross server bg's imo. The only thing different about bg's is going to be that you fight with/against people from other servers and (I hear) you all get forced into one raid. Other than that it's the same old AB, WSG, and AV. Who does the test realm cross server with? Other test realms? I wouldn't expect to see anything too exciting in there.

You did say you went to EPL. How was that? That's something you could bring some fresh insight too. Please tell. :)

Actually, they've been saying to hold off on that until it gets fully updated with the hotfixes they have coming up. Otherwise, you just go and kill a couple things, collect sand in Silithus. Nothing really worthwhile, I think.

Nobody's going to go to Silithus for a buff. Not in my opinion. Now, it could be interesting going around killing people who collect it and all that, but I think a lot of the "pvpers" would rather spend their time in a BG, which could be a good or bad thing. Probably depends on the server.

The reason they'll stay in BG's is because they're farming honor. Once they kill someone 4 times out in the world it's a waste to kill them again. If you play the same team over and over in a BG at least you get the honor for winning and such.

Of course, we play on an RPPVP so there may be more people interested because it's a world pvp thing going on, but I could also see there being little to no interest. All your doing is ganking people with sand for a temporary buff. Sure it'll be fun for a while, but I think eventually it'll get boring.

Same with the towers. Zerg a base, turn it, zerg the next.

The thing with both of these is it's only as good as the community makes it. If everyone shows up in droves it'll kick ass and then likely crash the server, hehe. If nobody shows up, well then we're where we are now, except we get to fight beside and against leet dood and his band of cronies in cross server bg's.
