Barke

He could barely feel the ring rolling around his fingers. He long lavender hair covered his face as his silver and golden eyes stared at the ground. He barely heard his name the first few times.
"Barke." Barke's head snapped up quickly to look at the one person who ever cared to visit him in the past year. A white haired elf sat on the bench opposite himself. "How long has it been?"
Barke lowered his head again as he slid the four silver chains over his head. "Two years."
The white haired elf let out a sigh, "You will have to let them go eventually. Even my niece."
Barke sat up for the first time since Llucia's uncle showed up, "I would rather not. Memories are all tha---" His silver and golden eyes narrowed as he became suddenly aware that it was not just the two of them. "Who is this?"
An old grey haired human sat nearby listening to the two speak. The elf replied first, "He said he has an offer for you. You will be able to leave here."
The human spoke next. "You deal. You work for us and you will be able to leave here or....you refuse and spend the rest of you days here." The human snickered.
Barke looked the human over and turned his attention back to Azurik. "What is he going on about?" The old man scowled at being ignored.
Azurik smiled. "The deal is you go to Northrend and join the fight. They will return your equipment and Khadian." He noticed Barke almost smiled at that. "You will be free to go."
The human's irritation was easily heard in his voice, "Well what is your answer?"
"Fine." He leaned back a bit. "Tell them I will take the offer." Barke was still speaking to Azurik. "I will play."
Azurik's eyes widened, "What? You will?" He shook his head. "Alright...But...why?"
Barke shrugged, "There is a fight out there....maybe I will find what I have been looking for." He stood up as another human entered. He was dragging a bundle of weapons and armor behind him and through the doorway Barke could see the frostsaber pacing around impatiently.
"And what is that?" Azurik asked even though he could guess the answer.
"The only thing a memory can ask for." He picked up the bundle of armor and slung it over his shoulder with surprising ease. "To be let go." He reached down and grabbed the weapons next.
Azurik nodded his understanding, "Stop by sometime. I will miss our conversations."
Barke shrugs, "If I can." He was gone before anyone could say another word.
Azurik glanced over at the old human a moment later. The humans face was red with anger.
