Since my account is down, someone respond to the BE warlock Armond and tell him this:

"If we had this button, it works similarly to the ToS agreement. By clicking agree, you agree you abide by these set rules. So, by clicking a similar button that says 'You are entering a Roleplaying server, a server with different rules than other servers. By clicking agree, you agree to follow these rules: (insert RP rules here)' They could then be possibly banned for not following server-specific ToS, and then if the GM's don't enforce these rules, we could rip into them for not enforcing our rules. All in all, it could help with the endless war of 'RPer on home turf vs. Non-RPer invader'"

To whoever posts or summarizes or links this to him, thanks. To those who read this and go, "No thanks," you are a big help xD

Rub it in why don't you.

Never played WAR. Does it have one of those?

yup. Makes you scroll down to accept the first time. Has all the extra rules and an "accept" button and "decline" button.

First time? Try every time. Its annoying, but sometimes, I actually do read through it all out of shear annoyance.

The RP Disclaimer, not the EULA.

The RP Disclaimer you get everytime you switch from a non-RP server to a RP one. If you just stick with one server, you only get the dummy check once.

But will it get them banned from servers? *dreams*

Thanks, Izrail. Hopefully we can get *something* done about this.

But will it get them banned from servers? *dreams*

If they write it like or in the ToS then yes, they could. Currently the most they can get is a name change or a warning. But, looking at the way Blizzard calls our servers, not even a (RP) next to them, I don't think they even remember that they had different rules for them.

I never got the concept of RP elitism. I don't expect everyone on any rp server to be a hardcore roleplayer. I just expect them to RESPECT roleplayers and their environment. Many of these people go to these servers to escape the sheer immaturity on normal PvP servers. Some come because their friends are roleplayers, some come because hell... maybe they think they might try it time to time.

To enforce a "you must always be IC and never talk OOC in spatial" is just silly. I can understand the naming convention, I can understand the "no griefing". But I cannot understand this elitism. I know this is a ROLEPLAY AND PVP server, not roleplay OR pvp. But I do believe people should be able to come and choose one as long as they respect the other. There are plenty of roleplayers who join and QQ about PvP all the time. We going to ban them now too?

Yes Swerto

Then we'll never have queues ever.

Who cares, you dont' like queues get off the high population servers. Kicking people who aren't roleplayers just because they aren't roleplayers isn't the way to solve that. It'll just cause an uproar.

Like I said, what's next? Boot everyone who doesn't PvP 100% of the time?

Yes. That too.
