Since Friday, I've not been able to play on The Venture Co realm due to red latencies of 11,000 to 18,000 on log in. Moving characters move and freeze and move and freeze, and ultimately I'm disconneted. No other server I've tried has done this. I've tried creating new characters on Venture Co to the same effect.
It is only that server, has been happening since Friday sometime, and am unable to play.
I don't know if there are others experiencing the same problem or not, but those I talk to during my brief times ingame tell me they're not lagging.
Venture Co had been fine for me for over 2 weeks before hand. Why is this happening now?
I deleted my Venture Co folder in WTF folder, no dice.
Right now I'm contemplating re-installing the game. If that doesn't work, then I'll just not play WoW for a while. If this persists indefinately, I'm more than likely unsubscribing and quitting.

My latency hasn't been bad.. but it has been pretty laggy. I say, if your not getting any better by weekend's end, send in a report to blizz and let them know, maybe they are having trouble and just arn't saying anything because no one has really complaned yet.
TN used to do that in the begining.
As well, I am pretty positive now that VC is a east coast basted server, with a west coast clock, because my friends in Wash and Orig have the worst lag, but I'm praticly lag free here in CT.

I hadn't noticed anything out of the ordinary.
Do you play with lots of mods? You might try temporarily moving your interface folder out to a different directory and seeing if you are still getting the problems.
Otherwise, dunno what to tell you.
There was some lag tonight, but nothing much.
And yeah, I think its on an east-coast site because I'm in AZ and I have worse latency there than on TN.

I've been having massive connection problems as a whole, but I have noticed that Venture Co is substantially worse than my other two servers, TN and Steamwheedle Cartel.

Day 3 - problem persists. Latency in red as soon as logging in to this particular server. No other server does it. Realm unplayable. Everything is running smooth on my end. Not sure what to do, or to just keep waiting it out, unable to play a game I'm paying for.

I havent had any issue, maybe a little laggier on venture co but nothing anywhere near game breaking.
In all honesty I have noticed some latency issues several times this weekend, mostly when I'm in Westfall. Its seemed centered around Moonbrook and the long shore.
But then last light on TN Nouri found WSG almost unplayable due to latency as well. It wasn't just me, my whole team were complaining about it.
I'm hoping its something that will be addressed this Tuesday during maintenance.

I've only experienced this once while going through RFD when the entire group lagged out so bad, we reconnected and woke up in the graveyard.
Overall, I do get the occasional spike, but that's typical even on TN for me.

Today I was disconnected about every 1/2 hour to hour, but i'm not sure if it was lag on my ISP's side, or what. Didn't seem to be affecting anyone else. *shrug*

No it hit me once or twice today too, but wasnt "severe". I did get a fun fun graveyard run thanks to one spike though.

I get connection issues every Tuesday evening from 7:45pm until about 5am the next day. Happens every Tuesday evening, on every server.

That's the link to my thread in Tech Support. No help yet, except they've acknowledged my problem with Venture Co.
I'm on Day 5 of not being able to play on Venture Co., and I'm tired of it. If this goes longer than a week, it's bye-bye to WoW again.

It might not be just WoW. I had friends who had a service provider with Cable Internet who would ban certain types of connections during peak hours and only allow connections to such things as MMOs during others.
To me that sounded bizarre because I didn't think that companies were capable of such things. But the window was open at some insanely late hour.
Check with your ISP as well. Who knows? Maybe there's an issue in your area and they don't know about it -- yet.

Nope, it wasn't my ISP. I did the traceroute and went back and forth with a WoW tech support guy. He confirmed it was nothing on my end and was an ISP between me and this specific server. Other people were having the same problem, but it wasn't the same server for everyone. Same problem, different affected server.
They just told me to wait it out, and I did. Late tuesday evening, the server started functioning normally again. All's well!
