View Full Version : In case JP goes under (like it appears to be)

If JP does, in fact, go under like it is appearing, I will likely be quitting WoW, and just wanted to let you all know that you are all some of the most talented people I've had the pleasure of knowing. While I know I was not nearly as active here as I would have liked, I think at least a few of you know my name. = ) In any case, I'll know for sure in the next 2-3 days how things are going. If I do end up staying around, it will likely be temporary, or only on a very sporadic basis. In any case I will see if I can get an RP post up to sort of explain things.
For those that are curious as to the goings-on behind the scenes, we lost a few members last week to server transfers, and it appears we are losing more this week. Those I refer to are core, geared, experienced members that have been here a long time, and helped make the guild what it is. It would appear that unfortunately my actions or possibly inaction as the guild leader has lead to this conclusion, something that I am trying to evaluate in order to learn from the ordeal. Whatever the case, I feel that I at least stuck to the rules outlined for the guild, was fair and just, and hope that no one who had dealings with me felt slighted.
Anyways, if I do end up suspiciously absent from the realm all of a sudden, I wanted those of you who might notice to know why. ;D

Yeah, I didn't really know you that well, but your RP interest has kept you as one of the very few <Just Pro> members that I respect. While I didn't like most of JP, mostly because you guys all killed me, you did accomplish a lot, and it's sad that after all that RSA drama, and what you did to keep the group together that everyone is leaving.
Try to get some new members too, I'm sure there are many people who would love the chance to join you guys.

Sorry to hear of JP's problems. I never had any problems with them myself (hey, we camp BRM right before raid too!), and I always respected the progress y'all made in the game.
I hope you don't leave over it, but I can kinda see your pov about that. It would be kinda hard to go from being the leader of the most accomplished guild on the server to....either trying to reform a "new" guild, or joining someone elses guild.
Maybe just reroll something fun? A bunch of us have alts over on Venture Co *wink wink*.

Northy, babe, sorry to hear about all of this. I was hoping it would work out for y'all last week when we talked. :( If you need to talk to someone, you know where to find me.
But I want a promise! If you do wind up quitting, you have to keep in contact with us! <3 If nothing else, you have my AIM. ^_~

Whoa! I didn't know you led Just Pro.
Heh. Just Pro increased 500k+ Rep with Zusteakai.
So that makes us what... 29500/30000 hated? Damn man, I need to go start grinding faction. How much rep would killing bolvar garner me? :D
Yeah most people had no idea it was me behind the scenes. I kinda preferred it that way. Was funny when I logged in and a GM had changed the guild's name to "Northface's Guild" because Just Pro had been deemed non-RP. I stealthed everywhere I went that night as I was handling the situation.... and promptly made the mistake of telling the guild I was doing so. Suddenly one of the guys starts /shouting in IF that "The Glorious Leader of the guild formerly known as Just Pro was stealthing around IF" and imploring people to try and find me. O_o
In any case, lots of different options at this point. & Don't worry kuro, I'll make sure to keep in touch. I have a few things i still want to do before I go (Exalted with WSG, Exalted with AB), and i've had a good number of the members asking me to start and lead something else. It breaks my heart to have to tell them no, at least for the time being. Still, if I do start something, I want it to be half-hearted. I want to be into it full steam like I was for JP.

With Hiki leaving then Cosmos leaving to teh same server, im guesing Cosmos joined Hiki. Not to mention all the guild drama that seems to be leaking out(no "omg did you hear, etc tec, just "JP is having guild issues..." stuff)Well i understand that, that is a blow to the heart of JP cause they were their in JP since it began i think. Dont worry, i feel the pain of loss. Cosmos was around foing for Field marshal back in the day of the old school Epug when i was a lil epug lowbie. I remember Epug owning the 40s bracket and him being a Lt. Commander. It was my first time ever seeing one. Other than some Lt. Commander Dwarf PRiest named Doopy who was in Pinnacle i think. Damn....thats a guild i havnt thought of or seen in ages...

I know what you should do.
Re-roll Horde. We're cooler, the game is totally different from the opposite faction, and most of the good roleplay is Horde-side anyway.

I havent seen a member of the greyward in months for the record.
That aside I have no issue with Northface himself, but I cant say I am dissapointed to hear of Just Pro being just dieing.

Um...The Greyward disbanded months ago. ^^()
But, there are a ton of other RP guilds Alliance side that are really starting to take root. :D Plus a few of us older birds still stirring the ant bed. ^_~

Eh, IFR is going through its own mini-turmoil still.. another two of the old crew are leaving rather soon...
Myself... and the GM. However the influx of eager recruits doesn't seem to be drying up just yet, and the new officers we have in place to keep the Regiment going will do just fine.
That's always one thing that AMAZED me about the Regiment... officers come and go so frequently.. but the fact that it really never disrupts the Regiment in more than a "Wow, sucks to see him go.." kinda thing, and how everything still runs so smoothly is why we've been so successful for so long.
Hm, that's what Pylith's story is up there by the way.. (not that anyone ever seems to like my writing).. Pylith's getting shelved till the expansion, as ... I just kinda don't have fun on TN anymore.. but I'll still be on Venture Co. sometimes, when Tizz wants to gnome it up with Vii.. but, really.. I'm just sick of PvP, and I'm gonna play on a PvE for awhile.
I'll also stick around here as one of the Lore Mods, and of course post when I feel like it..

Aww man, sad to see you go, Pylith. Especially after the fun I've gotten to have with you recently. :( Good luck on your PvE server! Hope to see you back sooner than later. ^_^

So many going ons going on in the Nether. If you would have just broken your recruiting rules and let me in (even though I would have probably quit a week later cause I would have remembered why I don't like pve) then the guild would still be together. :P
Actually, with me there you would have probably broken up sooner. 8O
Kidding aside, you did a good job keeping JP together. I was thinking back to the Golden Age of RSA, which coincidentallyl started the exact moment Polluxx and I joined and ended the exact moment we left :P (funny how that worked out). Those were some good times.
Ok, now the kidding is really aside. Good job with JP. As anyone can tell just from your post your're a stand up guy (who suprisingly if he stands up scrapes his head on the ceiling; I swear he's like ten feet tall 8O ) who was the glue holding JP together. Sometimes even the greatest of leaders can't stop an empire from crumbling. Once people stop thinking about the guild and start thinking about themselves it becomes very difficult to keep everyone on track. I think if you wanted to you could pull it together and recover, it just depends on whether you're willing to take a few steps back first.
Be sure you look back on JP as a success, even though it may be coming to an end. You guys did a great job, but perhaps it's just time to move on.
p.s. If you did some how decide to reroll horde, there's a certain orc warrior on The Venture Company who needs more friends.
p.s.s I was talking about me. Castor. I'm on the Venture Company. I'm a warrior. On the Venture company. I have the same name. In case you didn't get my veiled speech. You know what? Nevermind! Gawd!
p.s.s.p.s.p I'm still nuts.

well it seems to be officval now. Just Pro is gone. Kerrala or kerrela..whatever >.>...spilt the beans.
Sorry to see the retired General and you pylith go. Ill be doing the same in about 20 days :). Hurray for college, i miss my buddies there. It is still sad to log onto Cedes and there being nothing to do. Feels funny. Im playing a shaman on Kirin Tor with my friend. ME and him were owning the twinks yesterday. He has lvl 13 greens, i had lvl 10 greens and we were the best 2 horde out there lol. Tho the lil gnom ein full defias with fiery enchants on both daggers was a pain. I dont want to really go on with teh shaman if its 100% sure of draenei shamans. THATS what i really want right there.
I really do enjoy TN but going to a RP server is relaxing. No ganking and flexing going on as much. Nice transition i think. That server is really old so its nice and quiet to lvl and do quest w/o alliance to screw me over. Its a old normal server, so old, its kinda pvp now as well lol. Nice que times for even 10-19.

Kerrala doesn't really know much. He's like some kind of strange media presence. Think the channel X news. He doesn't really have first hand knowledge of anything that goes on, but tries to get as much info about everyone as he can, then forms opinions and highly suspect conclusions based on that information, eventually posting them on the forums. *shrug*

I wouldn't take anything Kerrala says as having any basis. He's incredibly annoying and does nothing but garner for attention, hence the 25 posts a day asking you to tell him how great he is in pvp or how great his gear is. I've never seen anyone more into themself then Kerrala.
p.s. I think he beats off to his toon. Seriously. He used to post pics of his toon and make coments about how great she looked. /shudder

true dat
he has...
- head+boots= Wrath
-chest+ pants= pvp blue
-gloves+belt+bracers+shoulder= might
- arms/fury w/ 2hander sword
Ive played a warrior who had full wrath and a 2handed sword on the test relm, and damn lol. My TUF and rank 10 gear out does that warrior on crit % and pure hitting force. Sure more armor means he was getting hit for less damage than Cedes does, but i cant tear tier 2 rogues apart when that tier 2 warrior couldnt. PLus when fighting rogues, stonform has spoiled me :(
Karkarov
07-31-2006, 07:48 PM
Like I said in some thread somewhere else. Might is better for PVP than wrath, wrath is better for tanking though. And since this is PVE raid armor what is tier 2 supposed to be geared for?
NorthFace
08-01-2006, 03:37 PM
His goal in RSA was full wrath and an ashkandi. He wanted to PVP in that. He even had a pic of his character doing various attack animations with that gear on as his sig.
We understand that there is infinitely better gear for an arms/fury 2handed warrior in pvp than wrath. He, however, does not.
Fhenrir

That would be such a waste of an Ashkandi...

You know whats funny. On the public test servers right now if you roll warrior you get a wrath set with the best tank items (save maybe weapon) and an ashkandi heheheh. And yes I tested it myself by switching to arms spec. The setup sucks for PVP, it isnt even that good for grinding mobs.

Yeah, I remember that.. Of course, that whole PTR thing didn't come out until after I already realized that just because wrath was tier 2 didn't mean that it was good, so it wasn't much of a letdown when I saw that I crit for less in wrath that I did with an OEB back on live.
