There is a rumor circulating on the Horde LFG channel that there is a wedding in Tanaris today. If it's an Alliance wedding, griefers are starting to form a raid to crash it.

I think this is just a rumor, especially because I don't know what time or what faction, but if this is your wedding, take caution.

Old news now. It was apparently Sunday afternoon at the cove in Tanaris, and I think some Horde did try to go crash it, led by a guy named Vitrioll (with two L's, I'm sure some of you have read his wonderful tradeskill advertisements... in the LFG channel).

That brings to mind a wedding I attended waaay back in Summer, 05 on my first server, Windrunner.

Gaji, troll priest was marrying Britney, an UD priestess ( I know, wierd..) .

Anyway, they decided to make the wedding memorable by holding it inside the Abbey in Northshire! They solicited Alliance help from some sympathetic friends from the forums to run escort and broadcast information bulletins to the Alliance in the area so they wouldnt get freaked out by all the high lvl Horde appearing decked out for the wedding.

Of course, as you might expect, not all Alliance were "onboard" with this plan.

A fairly large contingent of wedding crashers showed up and waited until the party made its way inside the abbey, dispatching guards and such along the way. Once inside the fun began.. The bride was the first to be slaughtered, followed by the groom. Then some Alliance warlock dropped an infernal inside the Abbey and it turned from there into total chaos!

In retrospec it was a hilarious event. So many of us high levelled Horde and Alliance jammed into the Abbey like sardines, all fighting each other at random. We could hardly sort out who was attacking whom! Emotes flying, farts being brushed up on each other, etc..

In the end the wedding was rescheduled as a private invitation affair in Org later that evening..

and he answers back

"Can't; getting married"

...

I immediately imagined some guy in a church, with his laptop, playing WoW right before the wedding march then telling his raid group he'd BRB. Then I remembered this thread. Heh...

I'm still working on the courting phase. It kinda got bogged down with the novelty of Vent.Co. But who knows what the future brings.. eh Teelia? :wink:

How did you dress? I wore a set of red robes and the red chapeu from SM. Looked pretty daggone sharp. Never understood why some priests wear white.

It's a biggole feux pas to wear white at a wedding if you're not the bride.

I did in fact wear white, hoever It was rather priestly. I wore fancy white robes Gossamer I think, as well as Nice big white pauldrons, again Gossamer and the Gossamer hat which is like the SM one but white. Oh, and buccaneers gloves, the white ones with the red fingers.

Wow, I haven't seen those pictures in forever. Realized how much I miss those two :(

I remember how the server crashed...and basically rewinded time back a few minutes...and Ruma, Odonna, and myself ended up back in the Dwarven District.
