Where did you come from? (server)

I apologize ahead of time if a thread like this has already been done, but I did a search and couldn't find one, so here goes...

Before you came to this wonderful server we call Twisting Nether, what server(s) did you previously play on with a main toon?

Me? I came from Whisperwind, one of the most unbalanced servers in WoW and played a Dwarf Warrior all the way up to 60, participated in some of the end-game content, got sick of the PvE environment and decided to try roleplaying and PvP.

And now I'm here.... And here to stay. :)

I had a human Paladin (go figure) named Nubi. Got her up to level 47 (my highest char ever), and then came here after being told by one of the primadonna's there that I couldn't write well and I was imature (among other things). I came to TN opening day.

My husband came with me, but he has since gone back to CC, and occasionally forces me to go over to that hellhole of a server to powerlevel his characters.

This server is far superior to any I've been on, and I love all my friends here. Yes, even those nasty bad guys.

I have a bunch of sub-60 characters (Horde) on Frostwolf.

I played in the beta for several months before the game went retail. I was in school at the time and spent waaaay too much time playing and my schoolwork suffered. So when it went live, I refused to buy WoW until I graduated.

Sooo.. I didn't start playing for real till May of '05. I looked up my old beta guildies and joined their server/guild. Unfortunately, about a week I joined, they merged with a large uber-raiding guild where anyone sub-60 was relegated to an alt-guild. All my old buddies all had level 60's, so even though they helped me out from time to time, I couldn't actually play with them, and since they were in the other guild, I didn't even really get to chat with them much.

I had fun playing all the classes, but my "main" was a prot warrior without anyone to group with in the guild, and PUG's on FW were complete crap. A bunch of us who's mains were in the alt-guild were kinda pissed at the big guild because they had a bunch of rules (ie, you can't sell any greens/blues you loot because they were supposed to go to the guild enchanters) about what we could and couldn't do, but didn't ever really help us. Anyway..the only reason we stayed in the alt guild was because of the carrot of being able to do the big raid instances once we leveled up.

When the RP-PVP servers opened up, I made Mortica, and I've been back on FW maybe 3 times total just to say hi to my old friends.

Hum...I've been on Sargeras for a while:

-Blazehoof: Level 60 Restoration Tauren Druid (Wildheart set + epics)

Then I moved onto the Detheroc server to play alliance with two friends that just got the game:

Then, on a most strange coincidence, they opened server transfers from Sargeras to Detheroc. This screwed EVERYTHING up... our PvP and all was suddenly messed by twinks and people in purple. The huge guilds from the other server basically came over and took all the place. I wish they never allow transfers to TN. Anyway. When that happened, my friends stopped playing... I was looking for something new, and then the RP-PvP servers came out. Tada!

I left there because there wasn't a lot of PvP going on. You'd think, being a pvp server and all there would be more. *shrugs*

My hubby and I floated around trying out a couple of servers until this one came out.

Did you know the guild DOOM? We were actually instructed to not post on the forums because every alliance hated us, not because they were asses or anything...but we really easily had a bunch of level 60s come in and kill gankers if they got too bothersome :D

:o I got about 3 MC epics, 2 which were cenarion. Then the epic rogue boots from ZG cause one of my friends plays my druid on there at times. But then I got really bored at the whole raiding game, not to mention didn't have time for most of the raids cause I had the weirdest hours in college last semester.

So now I'm gonna arpee now instead of listening to the giant guild fulled of 12 year olds that spammed a whole lot!

I wanted an RPPVP server before the game was out, and we were all reading info as to what WoW would be. Once we found out there were RP, PVP, and PVE servers, I was hoping there would be a combination RP and PVP server.

I've been on a few servers myself, as "mains", and have rolled alts on many others.

Mannoroth: This was my server on "Day One", in Nov 2004 when this game finally hit retail. I played Boadicea, a lvl 45 troll rogue. But something just didn't "click" for me, and I rerolled for the first time...

Shadowsong: Ah, here I finally got my first 60, Geoman, a human rogue. This was followed by Kropotkin, a 60 human mage. I was part of the short-lived guild Caterva Ater, an experiment in a democratically-organized guild. This remains a dream of mine..

Suramar: Back to Horde! And my 60 warrior, the orc Namoeg. Was part of Hexenhammer, prior to its merge with Unforgiving. At that point, it was time to jump to RP-PVP!

I never got to end game myself, nor did I do anything more than occassional PvP with her. Why? The guild I was in for the majority of her "life" started turning into a raid-guild and by the time I hit 51, I was so sick of hearing about "leet epicz" and "omfg we hate hunters" that I dropped that guild (well, for other reasons too), and tried to go with making my own. However, with 30+minute waits for BGs (on a good day), it was really frustrating. One day a few of us from Icecrown got bored and decided to try out an RP server... Then decided to make it more intresting and do an RP-PvP server. We've been here ever since. <3

I bounced all over the place. I started on Cenarion Circle, then all my RP buddies bought the game so I rerolled on Feathermoon, 'cause they refusd to roll CC. Played on Feathermoon until January, and then then the RP started to turn to OOC bullshit, so I buggered off and joined my RL friends on Dragonmaw in <Regal>. Hung out there for a while, then went off to work for the summer, came back, then TN opened and I went "Later, guys!" and rolled TN. And haven't regretted it. Well, sometimes, but meh.

I originally hail from Silver Hand. Played my shaman "Makul" to 60, and still play him from time to time. Been playing him since Febuary... but, I did bounce around to a few other servers. Got another shaman to 44 on Scarlet Crusade, named "Krezen". Kinda lost interest in playing the same class all over again. Recently, I rolled over here because another of my buddies from Silver Hand did. Love it here so far. Fhenrir is most likely going to 60.

Umm...hello :)

I originally cut my teeth on a pvp server Spirestone...played alliance since a dear friend of mine was alliance. (We all blame him for getting us into this wonderful accursed timesucking game. Bastard. ;) )

He has since moved on from the game, and I found myself server hopping for a while until I ended up on Shadow Council on a fluke. Where the roleplayers I've met there greatly enhanced my WoW experience...you guys (roleplayers in general) are wayyy more fun than arguing with the 1337kiddies on Spirestone. Learned bits and pieces of roleplaying and lore from some really nice (and patient) people there, but I missed PvPing so when Twisting Nether came about I rerolled here.

Ayashe is my shaman main on TN, Kindjala's my warrior alt...but I still keep Korinn my warlock at Shadow Council. :)

Proudmoore: Zusangil (47 troll hunter), Saketh (16ish tauren druid), Korthang (13ish orc shaman).
Got a low level dwarf pally (sub-10) on Dune/Stonemaul and a low level undead mage (sub-10) on Dune/Stonemaul (I don't remember which is where).

And now I have Jamaryste on TN (49 undead rogue). Funny I started jama while proudmoore was flaking out on me and now she's passed my hunter who was my main (but proudmoore + dialup = no fun anymore) so jama is my main. Aside from getting ganked here (I need to lurntewplah i guess) I really like TN (and if I Cid again he's gonna be one dead human! heh).

SilverHand, alliance side I was Malanor (warlock), horde side I was Freddian (shammy) and Darvok (warlock). RP was pretty dead and we decided to try our luck with PVP/RP, and it's been great!

My main is a 60 Human Warlock on Azgalor (PvP). I also have a 60 Night Elf Hunter on Azjol-Nerub (PvE which I find incredibly boring now). And I have a TON of alts, too many to count, spread across like 5 realms, most of which are in their 30s-50s, inluding a high 50s NE Priest and NE Hunter (I just love my Hunters :D ).

For Horde, I have two Shamans (a Troll and a Tauren) and a Tauren Druid, but they are all in their 20s...I prefer to play Alliance.

I started on Silver Hand as real life buds play on that server. They promised great RP and well... I didn't find a single RPer (nor anyone using Flag RSP) except for a guild who only RP'd with themselves. My main there was a male undead warrior -- I actually didn't enjoy it because as a female myself... I missed the lack of attention females receive. Tephe was just one of the boys... and boy did that suck. *grins*

I also played on Shadowsong since my best friend plays that server and she got me into WOW after my complete and utter dismay (start rant) at the destruction by SOE to the Star Wars Galaxies game. Someone complained about them earlier and let me tell you... they're a joke when it comes to player satisfaction. I can already tell that Blizzard tries to update and add to the game content to make it interesting -- not to just make a buck by selling a zillion expansions. (/rant off)

But I never felt... right in each server as I enjoy the thrill of PvP (doesn't mean I'm good at it) and I adore the character interaction of RP. So two non-pvp servers just didn't cut it.

I rolled Ellsbeth and I'm loving it. The fact that there's an RP channel dedicated to tavernesque RP... there's RP dedicated guilds who interact with eachother... and cross faction interaction without resorting to immature teabagging and whatnot. Kudos guys. I can't wait to get RPing with you all.
