So, come patch day their wanting enh. shamans to go slow main hand with windfury to fast offhand with flametongue. Any confirmation that this is higher DPS or is it the same or worse. Any information is appreciated
unless the info is about pie > cake... cause we all know cake > pie.

I think they're having to work on it, because I'm next to positive I read that there were Shamans in cloth with two daggers with flametongue on them knocking out massive numbers.
I've normally done what you're saying so I imagine there's no real change there.

I think it is unclear at this time - last blue post I saw (I was pissed Enh was becoming a more caster-oriented spec) said that they were moving away from what Maith described, but I can't find any real indication as to how.

The nerfed maelstrom weapon and stormstrike into the ground. Well, not into the ground, but made it such that maelstrom weapon didn't proc as much and Stormstrike only affects nature damage again.
That, combined with the fact that WF wasn't working for the longest time in the beta, should (they are hoping) be enough to curb the desire for enchancement shaman to want spell gear.
That being said, I think a melee class that is totally about spell gear is awesome and should be the next introduced class.

Last I'd heard they want to shift Enhancement shaman AWAY from wearing Caster gear and back to wearing base Melee DPS gear, but there's been no changes besides a buff (?) to Maelstrom Weapon to suggest they are going to actually do that before the patch is released.
