A Perfect Moment
It was almost time as Shadowdane and Sadye raced through Silvermoon City on their mounts.
“Where are we going Shadowdane?”
“It’s a surprise. Just come on.”
Sadye smiled and pressed on after her undead companion.
They proceeded down the steps at the Shepherd’s Gate and continued toward Sunstrider Isle.
“Oh, this better be worth waking up so early.”
Shadowdane smiled. “It is, trust me.”
The two rogues rode up past the Shrine of Dath’ Remar.
As Sadye approached the large cliff just beyond the shrine, she was illuminated by the morning sunrise. She gasped at the sheer majestic beauty of the scene.
“It’s Beautiful! I’ve never seen the sunrise from here.”
Shadowdane just smiled as he stood beside his most cherished friend. And then something happened that he did not expect. Standing on the cliff in front of this wondrous site, Sadye took his hand.
Shadowdane didn’t know what to say, so he stood there in silence saying nothing. They both just stood quietly looking into the endless eternity of the horizon.
It was good. A moment when all the world was right.
A perfect moment.
