I remember the first big RP event of the server, at least parts of it. There was a guild that was an off-shoot of the Royal Apothecary Society. They were moving samples of the plague from Orgrimmar to Thunderbluff, and "word was leaked" to the Alliance. So, there were selected people from this guild who were holding the plague, as the rest of us were escorting them. Well... when we entered Mulgore, the Alliance sprung their trap; and just beat the ever living snot out of us. They had more 60s than us, since most of us were still in our 40s! It was a pretty good time, even if we lost.

I also remember Operation: Longrifle (parts of it, my mind isn't what it used to be!). That is still one of the most enjoyable events I've been part of. Had ourselves the body, soul, and ... heart, I believe of one of Ironforge Regiments dwarves. It was scattered through Silverpine, and we were defending it. Each part was held by a warlock, who was trying to get information from it. The heart and soul were taken over by the Alliance (Nadea's horns didn't save her at all) but they couldn't take the body. That's where the majority of the Grim were, baby. Heh, Pincus just hellfiring everybody to death... to which I knew in his big nerd mind he was screaming, "You shall not pass!"

I also remember dishonorable kills. If not for those; I wouldn't of been as hardcore as I am now. I would of also been higher than a Legionnaire.

I have a lovely visual picture of the start of that battle. I was one of the rogues escorting the druids, so I was watching from the "Infection side" of brill to see our guys come running around the corner of the inn all at once and slamming into the combined might of the Dark Lady's elite.

Then lots of running and smashing. Leaving a lot of dead bodies when the dust cleared.

I remember when 60 was the cap, and things just felt more...epic. People gearing up in dungeon sets, every epic being a huge deal, having to go to BRD to smelt much-needed Dark Iron (awesomely challenging on paper, pain in the ass in practice).

Back in those days a lot of work was put forth, and BLUES felt like a big deal. Epics were just wow. Dungeons took forever, and they felt like an investment.

Granted, the funny thing about nostalgia is that you only recall the good stuff. I'm sure if we were back there today I'd be all GOD DAMNIT BRD SUCKS MC SUCKS I HATE EVERYTHING, but looking back it seemed like good times.

Also, I remember doing Stratholme with 10 people. That was always a ton of fun.

The Immortalis storyline, and specifically, the RP-PvP that was planned to wrap it up. Galidon and myself and I think a couple of other non-Nelfs, at all of level 20- or 30-something, trotted on out to Silverpine. As Kuro was my first toon on any RP server, I was all excited - not only my first significant RP event, but RP-PvP event at the same time! We were expecting a bunch of the high level Alliance RPs to make a show of things too.

We got to South Shore to meet up... And it was a ghost town. We waited a bit, then figured there must be some confusion. Alas, we couldn't get ahold of anyone. So, not thinking there would be THAT many horde involved, we decided to go wait in shadowmeld in the bushes in Silverpine along thier path, just to see what was what.

As we sat there, hiding partially behind trees and in bushes, Galidon happened to look down the other direction - the opposite direction we were expecting anyone to come from... And said "OH F*CK" in party chat. I tried to turn my camera... I got to see just a glimpse of a wall of red names coming at us. Two or three minutes later, my lag cleared and we were dead. I was laughing my rear off IRL, until I realized that meant there really wasn't anyone else planning to come out save my little group of lowbies.

<3 to Liadain and Celethorn, once again, for answering my call for help and saving our butts on that. :3

True story. That was one of the defining moments of my time in WoW. Came around a corner after ressing and ran face first into Nadea. Poor girl didn't even have time to realize what was going on. That marked the beginning of a great relationship. One that spawned the following conversation.

I had just killed Faelen in IF and as was standard with any Infection member, I emoted his body. I gave him a /love and then I get this on AIM:

Dancing in Shatt with countless numbers of you people. Sometimes as a dwarf, sometimes as a troll. Best one being when Jeedup had his orb and he was the dorf and I was the troll.

Fighting the Ghants in Theramore. One particular fight led to a now infamous five minutes of me yelling at everybody in Vent and making them all cry...with laughter.

Two good stories:

1.) When I was on this server, for Horde, Nuin was telling me about this thing the Immortalis was doing with making people undead or something. And I was like, "Dude. I had a hand in that, selling Lovely out because she thought Aelendil was hot and Rho was like, 'OH NO YOU DON'T YOU WHORE'. That is awesome." It was awesome.

2.) So. Here I am, over the Midsummer festival, on my new server, right? Killin' sum bosses for epix lawl. And this druid is like, "..hey, did you used to play on TN?"

Now, seeing as I have a lot of enemies on some of my old servers, I got defensive and was like, "Who is this?" Apparently, she never played on TN but read our forums all the time and knew who I was. And ejaculated praise for the remainder of the run about what an honor it was to meet me and stuff. Mostly I sat and blushed and whimpered.



Which brings me to my last point.

I remember when there were rivalries and such prior to cross realm BGs, and the good old days of twinking out at the top of every bracket. Running the instances that housed the rare blues for 8-9 levels and having Malebrignon enchant it all for me. Fighting along side people like Fhenrir and the super friends against the likes of Cdub and the Shatter crew and later on the wannabe Shatter, Enlightened Horde.

I also remember being the one of the few if not only combat mace spec'd rogue pre-2.0 patch and mutilate. Mutilate + HWL gear/weapons = win.

Yeah, it was. I loved my mace stun proc though. All the rogues I knew used a built that was up to vigor with imp BS and the stealth talents for PvP.

- When Xelthan, Kuro and I first rolled up on the server and we had our first semi-awkward RP in Dolanaar. Alu found out his love of cooking.
