RPs Through Auction House? What?

You heard me and I am going to give this a shot and see what the success rate is. I'm not even sure if it's been done before.

Selling Plain Letters on the AH at minimum amount, maybe some are treasure maps, diaries? I consider there to be a lot of posibilities here and would create something interesting.

This reminds me of something that happened on my old server. I mailed one of the more infamous gold farmers on the server after we had a party with her in her favorite farming spot to tell her we had fun.

The plain letter showed up on the AH a few days later. X D

Oh I'm alliance, but the goblin auction houses cater to both sides :)

It might be interesting at least to initiate an RP by a plain letter someone finds in AH. I'm sure it won't be boring.

I've actually thought of this. But, I never pursued it. I'd be willing to collaborate on some stuff, big time RPer here.

You can. I actually have a funny Cartel story to go with that, fun times. fun times.

But to be on topic, yes. It sounds interesting. Not sure how well crossfaction rps would work with this, but still, a very creative way to intiate random rp! Yay!

An additional idea if anyone is willing. IC letters from alliance who wish to send them through the AH to horde.
Note this would be ic and toned down to...relatively PG.

The letters will be sent to a specific charecter so you can tell which faction it is for by the seller. I'd also like to do the same for Horde if anyone was willing. If this is a bad idea let me know, I'm not sure if it has been tried before or it will see any success, but it could be one more way for everyone to communicate be it insults, challenges or some smitten elves.

I have made an alt by the name of Tohorde but If anyone believes this idea has too much potential to be negative I will happily dismiss it.

Oh I've done this plenty of times back during my time with the Cartel. "Smuggling" letters from an alliance character to a horde character and vice versa isn't hard, it just requires timing to make sure the letter doesn't fall into the wrong hands, like say that of a non-RPer or griefer. If you want to know how to do it, I can teach you, just send me an IM/PM sometime and we can talk. :)

The easiest way to do it is just set a time to send/buy the letter. Like lets say the letter will be put on sale at exactly 2:00 PM server time, the buyer has to be ready to grab it (no matter which goblin auction house they are at) at the exact same time. Agree on the timing beforehand so there is no problem. A PM on TNG would probably do the best for such a transaction.
