History: Dwarf orphin that was raised by a Merchant couple. He was named after the father, James Warren Hamilton, and given the wifes father's name for a middle name. He was raised outside an Abby in the northern kingdom outside the Southshore Port town.
After the first war the parents of Cedes passed away due to old age, the father, and an illness, the mother, so he was left alone as a young lad. Taking Advice from his father Cedes traveled south to Ironforge to check the Regestries in the Ironforge Library. No records could be found of who his real parents were. This wasn't uncommon as only residences of Ironforge and the kingdom's land's were kept in records. The name was traced back 1600 years where one records book showed a Hammertoe from the outter regions of the old Dwarven Empire south of Ironforge. Nothing was ever found there.
The newly joint racial alliance amount elves, humans, and dwarves influenced Cedes to join the war efforts years later. It was a big chance to fight for your king and your home world as the Orcs had returned. Cedes was nothing more than a private most of the war surveying the Territory and seeing little to no action. It would also end that way for him before long. A few years later Cedes was stationed in the North back where he grew up where he stayed till the third war.
The thrid war brought a gloom over the north as Cedes sat locked up in a prison in the begining. He was thrown in the military prison for being associated in the escape of an orc male named Thrall. Apon release, Cedes would be under the arm of a Sergent heading to Kalimdor. In Kalimdor Cedes wittness his officers dying on a weekly basis which paved the way for Cedes' ranks. In war Cedes ranked up because his superior officers died or failed to do their job. After a 12 day dog fight Cedes was a Sergent, by the time the small militant group reached the Elvish lands to save their southern stronghold he was knighted as a Captian, and by the end of the war he was a dwarven hero of Ironforge. This was also the first time a dwarf and an elf became allies. As a new captian, the alliance assigned Cedes to help the Silverwing Sentinals get back in order. He was rewarded a tabard making him an honorary member of the Silverwing Sentinals, a first for a non-elf. The reward was odd for Cedes and seemed unessisary but little did he know that he would meet them again.
Post 3rd war was spent in the mountains of Alterac. The general needed war heroes and gladiators, not dwarves. That was an automatic transfer in Cedes' case as he set out for the harshest, coldest and roughest terrain on Azeroth. As a Stormpike Officer, Cedes was given the legendary Ice Barbed Spear. It was a lance forged in the Alterac Mountains which made the tip of the spear sharper than any blade and hard as diamond. The spear was enchanted with fire which didn't help that the tip already had an icy blue sting to it. There are those that say, that being struck by the spear feels so cold, it burns like fire.
Cedes would take part in the slaying of the Frostwolf Clan. As a sign of victory, cedes held high the dark and mysterious mace known as "The unstopable Force" which he kept as a prize. General Stormpike and the General of the Ironforge Regiment were both present when King Brozebeard awarded Cedes with the Military Rank, Commander, after the victory in Alterac. With this new rank Cedes was given his own army to command just in time for the Gates to reopen.
Outland was the place for Cedes to show off his military knowledge as he help clear way for the alliance to build Honor Hold. It was a bitter sweet victory as Cedes as also an Embassador to the night elves (a duty he took up himself when he forged a relationship in the 3rd war) and was needed in the Draenei capital. Shattarath City was the site for millions of deaths and left one city in ruins and the other demolished. Cedes also lost all his men in that battle but was given twelve more to help track down thrall in Nagrand. The hunt for Thrall ended outside the Nagrand Arena when Cedes called it off and allowed Thrall to enter the ogre-orcish village. Doing so ment court marshall and the end of the Commander's legacy.
The court marshall of Commander Cedes Hammertoe took place 1 year after the gates first opening in the spring. It was judged that Cedes would loose his rank but by the wishes of Bronzebeard, He would be given an honorary discharge from the military. In the end, the alliance saw him as a failure and the dwarves honored him for his duties. It allowed Cedes to get back up on his feet and go back to outland; not as a soldier but as a Azerothian.
Now Cedes is helping his fellow dwarves on the battlefield of Illdan's front yard trying to finish the last remains of his legion. It is belived that Cedes holds a key to finding the Lich King in Northrend. Its been noted that certain people, places, and objects are showing signs all leading to one place. Cedes has in his possesion a mace of such power, one that could be very well suited for a death knight.
