Twisting Nether War 3

Saturday, September 6th, at 9:00 Server at the Hillsbrad Foothills

Alliance meet at Refuge Point at 8:30 Server. Contact Naam in game for additional info.

Horde meet at The Sepulcher at 8:30 Server. Contact Rondaki in game for additional info.

We'll start heading there around 8:55 server, and the fighting will begin exactly at 9:00.

I'm thinking about creating a Twisting Nether War video. In a few months time (if we have the people) there is going to be an all out war between alliance and horde. I will post the date of the war within the coming weeks but I want people to sign up here. At minimum I'm going to want a raid of 40 Alliance and 40 Horde. Maybe more if enough sign up.

The war is going to be held in Hillsbrad Foothills, and there will be no pre-war PvP. Alliance and horde are to leave each other alone until the time when the flag is dropped and the fighting begins. I need one alliance member to be my cross-faction supervisor. We will meet on ventrilo so you can control the alliance and I will control the horde. This is going to be completely epic and I would love it if this came together.

Most people will obey the rules. The few that break the rules and attack the other side at the wrong time will be crushed by overwhelming numbers. The rules work because they are enforced more or less naturally.

Bah you haters. The last two wars were AWESOME.

The numbers of Horde versus Alliance in Desolace for the last one were... amazing. I think everyone told everyone in their guild and anyone on their friends list. I told everyone and nobody came and then when we destroyed ... I mean ANNIHILATED King Magni everyone was like, "Why didn't you tell me?"

I must say Razankh (?) and ... I forget the other one were actually very IC leaders for being non roleplayers.

In the end it's what you make it. Let's use that Thrall kill... It was OOC, but that doesn't stop people from writing a "We killed Thrall" epic post. Or roleplayers from making a video of the kill and throwing a plot line or story to it.

It's only as OOC as you let it be.

So? What stops you from making something from it? Just cause First Legion failed at ICing up the Thrall kill, doesn't mean everyone else has to.

Seriously, if you're here you should be interested in RP and at least somewhat creative. How hard is it to write up a bit of IC motivation to accomplish your goals? Every time I've chosen a target for the Grim, I had IC motivation for it though Brig's secretive nature means only a select few knew what it was before hand. Even a random sacking of the Temple of Telhamat was done so I could search for Draenei texts to help me craft a medallion to restore another Grim's sanity. If Grim can be seen as sane...

I'm actually thinking about making a war movie. TN WW3 would just be the battle scene of it. I'm still looking for someone to write the script as I am terrible but I'm thinking about something like the Horde are planning an attack on the Alliance and they catch word. Someone is running through all the cities rallying troops on both horde and alliance side. Thrall meets in his chambers with the other commanders to make plans for the attack. A huge line of horde start walking through Hillsbrad on the way to Stormwind city when they are stopped dead in their tracks by a massive wall of Alliance soliders. A commanders walks along the line of horde and rallies them for battle, an alliance commanders does the same and then each calls out FOR THE (HORDE/ALLIANCE) and a massive battle begins. It's going to be a machinima for the most part but I need a script written in order to base it on. That's just the basic plot line of the story. I'll let the writer do whatever they want to it and I'll make it into a movie. That's how it fits as an RP event.

They killed Thrall. They missed a priest somewhere, though.
And besides, Thrall's a shaman, right? They can self-rez. He just waited for them to leave before he clicked on the accept button.

Afraid I concur with rasta, most people will not follow the rules. Dont get me wrong that doesnt mean a great fight wont be had by all. but your kidding yourselves if you think under 70's wont try to get involved and or get raped regardless of what you declare and that goes doubly so for the no fighting before 9 yada yada nonsense. you should be aware there are alot of people on the server who either wont know your rules, wont know about the event, or just wont care. Alot of people will simply hear in trade chat "omg there is a huge battle in hillbrad lets go pwn some (insert faction here)" and then the floodgates open and a million people who only want to own the other guy will be on scene.

Just yesterday I was talking with people about people with integrity! The first name that came up was Karkarov, we were just talking, you know. "That Karkarov, I like the cut of the jib on that boy." These days you have a bunch of boys and girls who can claim they have everything and want it all, but lack integrity! That's the problem with people! No integrity! And I had an amazing time out there tonight, Karkarov dodged like an eel, Ellsbeth fought like a boar, Qabian schemed like an owl, Scylexan defended like a caelifera, it was an evening to remember, to be sure.

PvP events with no rp basis are just fine. I'm very sure that things such as 'skirmishes' exist, and combat doesn't always have a love story to go around it. Have fun guys, and whomever makes a video of it don't add bad music.

Actually in my experience especially on this server you are better off keeping the battle as out of character in organization as possible. Truthfully what rp reason do you need more than "i heard rumor a large force of alliance are gathering in southshore to attack tarren mill!?!?!"
