His background itself is simple: He was an apprentice blacksmith who constantly read books about paladins and The Light, and therefore drove himself to become a paladin.

Marcus is a tad... touched. Tainted even. He constantly sees the 'taint' of The Burning Legion and The Scourge in those around him, both in the Horde and the Alliance.

He is also of the firm belief that he is the most horrifically EEEEVVVVIIIIILLLLL entitiy on Azeroth. He will only inform people of this when he's drunk. Otherwise his life is spent disguising his eeeeeevviiilll nature as much as he can, waiting untill the time is right to strike.

Well.. Aquizit is to be a Retribution paladin, dwarf or human.. I'm not quite sure yet, probably human.

As thus... he's going to be very.... um... intolerant. Warlocks are blasphemers.. and he'll be sure to voice his opinions of them regularly, although he will begrudgingly respect their contributions to the Alliance if proven to be worth on the battlefield.

He understands the history of the world, and therefore is to be slightly distrustful of mages, since it was arcane magic that caused the Sundering and the first great war after all.

To warriors he will be cordial, priests are to be treated with the utmost respect, although Night Elf priests that worship Elune might be seen as heratics to him. Rogues will be distrusted as well, as he can never be sure of their true motives. Hunters he's indifferent about, since he hasn't had too much contact with them in general.

When it comes to battle, he shall enter it without hesitation, knowing the Light backs him, and even if he is to be struck down, he will rise again in the glory of the Light, to fight on for its cause. As thus, all horde shall be attacked on sight, from first season to sixtieth, using his sword to cleave the enemy in twain.

As for a story.. -shrugs- I still need a backstory for him.

Nighttime clung to Teldrassil's boughs, the animals and creatures inhabiting its limbs already deep in their cycle of slumber. The only beings still awake were the denizens of the night...and one lone night elf.

He crept through the fallen leaves and grass, his eyes flashing as he looked about him. The coast appeared to be clear. Only a few steps more...

"I knew you'd try this someday."

The night elf gasped and came to a halt, scattering the leaves at his feet. He narrowed his eyes. "I thought for sure I was quiet enough."

Slowly, another night elf, much older than the first, raised up from his leaning position against a twisted bit of vine and tree that made the gate leading out of their family land. He uncrossed his arms and opened his eyes, settling them on the purple-haired night elf before him. "I'm one with nature, and you can never fool them." He sighed and looked over the young night elf's face, hard-set in defiance. "I suppose I can't talk you out of this then, Alu--"

"Don't call me that," the young night elf snapped. "My name from now on is Talah."

"Talah...night," the older night elf sighed and shook his head. "Talah, then...my son. Be careful."

Talah straightened and stalked past his father. "That I will be."

(Incomplete, here's the short version.) His father was a druid, and his mother was a priestess of the Moon. He was given birth to shortly before the Long Vigil. He had trained as a druid for many years, following in his father's practice, waiting for him to return from the Emerald Dream. When the Third War came, both his Mother and his Father were sent to fight at Mount Hyjal. Both came back unharmed. Years later, after the creation of the New World Tree and the Founding of Darnassus, Sentinels were making reports of "Odd Looking Kaldorei" roaming the area. They were seen wearing all black, at all times, and were not spotted anywhere outside Darnassus.

One night, as his Mother and Father slept three floors above the soon-to-be hunter's head, one of these creatures had entered the housing. It slowly acended the stairs, looking for the perfect subject. So it happens, that Velkun's parents were just those. The creature, sparing a slow, painful death, quickly sunk its teeth into first the Mother, and then the Father, killing them instantly.

The next morning, after services to Elune, Velkun noticed neither of his parents were present. A cold, dark, wind swept across Darnassus' Craftsmens' Terrace... Velkun's heart beat quicker and quicker as each floor passed by, finally he reached his Parents' room... He entered slowly, as the stench of death was heavy... There he saw them, both mangled, with the mark of the Legion on their neck.

So, Velkun ran into the forest, making a new life for himself, he was now a Demon Hunter.

My roomie and I have set ourselves to be the Tic and Toc of this server.. kinda.. Vii and Tizz, Frost and Fire mages respectively.

Vii: Female Gnome Mage (with NOT pink hair!)

Vii used to be one of the elite in the Gnomeregan Mageocracy [sp?]. However, during the great evacuation, she ran into one of the large clouds of irradiation. Although the shield she surrounded herself with withstood the strange glowing gas, her spellbooks she carried with her.. did not. Something in the gas reacted with the magic infused in her books, and they ignited. Years of hard work and study vanishing in a flash of heat. Now she finds herself in Dun Morogh, alone, with tattered robes, and mostly useless spells. Here she must start her training from scratch, making sure to record her studies to memory this time, as the once permanent paper has proven to be.. less than satisfactory.

As she thinks she's above this tedious training, she tends to be haughty and full of herself. She's also very irritable, due to the stress her accelerated re-training has put on her. As such, many find her downright annoying, if not cold, or even cruel. Though, make yourself worth her time, or show an opening where she would be able to exploit you, and she'll turn out to be rather personable.

Background: I'm intending to play this Daala as an alternate progression from the one I play in Twisting Nether. Those of you who have read "Memoirs" know that she had a pretty unusual developmental context. This Daala will serve to represent what my current main could've been with loving parents and a fairly normal childhood. At birth, she was not spirited away and reported still-born as is procedure, but rather her parents maintained possession of her. Debating exactly how this happened at the moment. Spirited her away on ship to Kalimdor, to claim to be a Night Elf, which she is physically indistinguishable from. She is aware of the Tranquil Way of Life, and naively desires to shut it down and liberate the Low Elves, though if she had any sense she'd try and burn it and its inhabitants to the ground.

Should note: Not sure if she's going to be my main at this juncture. So far, she is, but it's iin the air.

Because of a severe lack of pigmentation she does not go out in direct sunlight (I can only play in mornings and at night usually).
