I was of the understanding that a lot of hairstyles you cannot access at the character creation screen, only at the Barbershop. The default styles are at character creation, new styles and old styles available at the Barbershop. That might explain it.

Well, I personally wouldn't be complaining about Kalecgos.

They could've just colored a blood elf model with crappy blue hair and called it done.. I'm fine with the fact that they chose to give him a more... Half-Elf look.

Overall, I think all of the other faction leaders are fine. Sure Thrall could use an armor revamp, and maybe throw some glowy-eyes on Cairne like he had in WC3.. But really, they aren't special.. At all. Thrall is a regular Orc, Cairne is a regular Tauren, Bolvar is a regular human, Magni is a regular Dwarf. Just because somebody is important doesn't mean they automatically need plastic surgery to look different and more bad-ass than everybody else.

and besides, if anything the next thing they should look at is little Wrynn (the kid who is king of Stormwind). Because really, since when do you see a king walking around in the same clothes as the common folk? (LOL HE HAS A SCEPTER THO!)

and srsly, Sylvanas deserved this. She's been the wrong race for so long.. and also another point: The Dark Ranger was easily one of (if not THE) best hero choice in Warcraft 3.

That was my biggest complaint about her. She's effectively an animated high elf. Last I checked, high elves and night elves had completely different builds.

Honestly, I could see the ponytail working for her a bit better. Of all the hair styles, that just seems the sort that would be on a fighter-type. Why? One of the worst things that can happen in combat is to have hair just fly into your face due to the chaos of combat. What's the solution? Tie it back or tuck it into armor/clothing.

Looking at the picture on the first page her skin look plenty pale and sickly enough.The glowy eyes help.

Considering WC3 is part of the WOW History, ect. I'd start caring more about it. Since Thrall looks EXACTLY like he does in WC3.(Save possibly the Doomhammer) I don't really see how you want them to look to make them "unique"... What exactly did you have in mind?.. I'm interested in your ideas. Since you've apparently got plenty of them to share...?..Ellaborate what you have in mind to make all of them unique.

I personally don't have a problem with her current style... hair, skin color, eyes, armor, etc. My problem is that, at least to me, her model in WC3 always seemed a lot more stout than, you know, regular high elves. Think a blood elf look with night elf proportions. Also, she needs to have a more enveloping cloak and bigger shoulders, sort of like Maiev but without the blades. Currently, she is scaled to be larger than normal... she was taller than my beta copy of Rasta. But because of the skinnier size of belfs, she still looks too small.

You mean there's probably been a handful of skins for the Dark Lady, maybe even dozens (none of which have been made Live yet)!? Someone called out the Orgrimmar Calvary and round up the usual suspects.

So they changed it again. They didn't say the last version was final... in fact, I believe Blizz that they were working on special versions of those characters a while back and its natural for an artist to make improvements to their work. I suppose that's why they call it Beta.

But you're diluted if you think it was the outpouring of people on the forums that did it; or do you happen to have proof of such a claim? Say, a blue post attesting to as much.

See, friend, my original statement still stands, because this is Beta. Once it goes live and is "permanent", you still only have three options: you accept the changes they make, avoid them, or don't play anymore.

Seriously though, I wasn't trying to be an uberjerk, just a...sorta-jerk. I was caught a bit offended by your THIS IS HOW IT IS CAUSE BLIZZ DONT CARE BOUT YOU attitude, and there's a good chance that you weren't going anywhere near that direction, it just seemed a bit overly hostile against people who just wanted better for a faction leader.

A lot of it has to do with the fact that as a leader of Infection, the Dark Lady is srs bsniss. She is the focal point of our RP, so having her look really badass just floats our boat. And to think that user feedback had nothing to do with this is a bit silly, cause that's what an MMO is based on, really.

No. Lesser races are lesser races regardless of whether or not they happen to be undead. Those who are willing to serve the will of the Lady may find some minute measure of favor among her Elite, but never shall we open our doors to those who lack our...perfection.

I know this was already said but I was so excited I had to post it myself. She looks so incredibly badass. Alexstrasza looks awesome as well, finally no more Vael-lookalike as the Queen of the Dragons...Ymiron looks pretty awesome, but I don't know if I like Wrynn, his face looks a little distorted from that image.

I was hoping they'd take more of an artistic liberty with an aspect like Alexstraza... one of the pictures on WoWWiki had her with a longer neck and overall looking graceful, and about as large as a small mountain. The big horns and that 'bling' on her throat flap (uh... ow?) makes her look male. :( I hope they put more work into her like they did for Onyxia and not just keep her as an altered normal model.

Varian looks about as angry as I thought he would... and beefy, like Arthas' human model. Fitting for a warrior king.... I bet he'll be one hell of a raid boss.

Sylvanas needs to be holding a weapon, because that pose is kind of pointless otherwise... Still sexy and badass otherwise.

Ymiron... I'm reminded of both Beowulf and Thor. I'd like to see him with whatever weapon, if any, they're going to have him wield.

Malygos isn't the controller of all magic. He's the guardian aspect of magic, meaning he keeps it from going out of control or the wrong artifacts from falling in mortal hands. Nothing would happen to magic if he dies.

The Red Dragonflight temporarily takes over the Blue's responsibilities in the meantime, while an heir for Malygos is chosen (likely, as you said, Kalec or Tyri).
