Next Steps
Step One: Placing Actors
To date I need the following 'actors/actresses'. Please PM me with interest/questions.
1. Horde Warlock/Herbalism minimum level 8 skill level 230
2. Horde level 60, player has strong leadership qualities and willing to take a dominant role.
3. Alliance character/alt that has aged features.
4. Alliance female elf
Step Two: Organizing the Events
This is where we run into enourmous information unloading, dispensing, overwhelming. As I said I had done all of this previously. I wanted this to be more than a bunch of WoW-like quests but something with many prizes to be won, opportunities for inter-class / level interaction etc... Here is how I intended to set this up. Please assist with thoughts!
Section One: SHE's or Scavenger Hunt Executives
1. Players who know all the parts and details of every scavenger hunt. They are the "collectors" of items and final checkpoints.
2. Players need to have access to a spreadsheet program or other means to take down information to avoid cheating. Spreadsheet provided by Vars.
3. SHE's will need to have room in their respective bank boxes or create alternate characters to hold the items collected for storage.
Section Two: Actors
1. These are players who play a defined role. Scripts have been written to provide an easy to follow guideline for those newer to RP. Those with experience are encouraged to modify/change script so long as quest objectives are clearly given.
Section Three: Raid Teams
1. All players who are planning to be involved, guild or otherwise, plan on meeting one (1) hour before the official start time to establish Raid teams. Ironforge before King Magni or in a Horde alternate town/city.
2. Players and their guilds will be divided into Raid teams of ten (10). Up to five (5) members per guild per team. This forces more interaction with Alliance/Horde forces and spreads diplomacy.
3. Each Raid team must have as even a distribution as possible of seasons with five at or below level fifty and five at or above season fifty-one. All Raid teams must have at least one member at or below season twenty. This promotes greater equity between all groups, forces more cooperative play, tactics, and allows younger seasons to be involved.
4. This Raid team will be the permanent team for the duration of the Scavenger Hunt events. If one loses a team member one may replace the member with the same season from the same guild if the same guild is possible.
5. Once a raid team is formed, determine the hierarchy and any rules. The Raid Captain/Leader will be consider the In-Character Captain of the Raid Team. When the team is formed, send a game mail message to a SHE with the member’s names in your Raid team. SHE's will keep track of teams via spread sheet and continually update the list to avoid cheating.
6. Each Raid team must provide a five gold entry fee to the SHE.
7. New Raid entries after the first Scavenger Event may occur with a ten gold entry fee. The fee for Raid teams will continue to rise by five gold with each consecutive Scavenger Hunt Event held. Thus, by the third event the fee to join will be fifteen gold and by the fourth event twenty gold. Gold is awarded as prize money to the Raid team that ultimately wins the initial quests. By limiting a guild to having five members in the Raid Team it is more likely many guilds could benefit.
Section Four: Clues and Answers
1. The first clue will be given in the chamber of King Magni (or respective Horde start location.) Clues and Answers throughout the Scavenger Hunt events will be found in the world of Azeroth from players, riddles, items and even NPCs.
2. Raid teams should not share clues or answers. However, you may find it necessary to help or be helped by a Raid team in a particularly challenging situation. Raid teams may join up to form as many larger Raid Groups as necessary to discover the answers to the clues. Some clues may even require temporary alliance with members of the opposing faction!
3. After a Scavenger Hunt Event is held a role-play story will be posted prior to the next Scavenger Hunt Event by the SHE's. These stories will detail the exploits of the winning Raid Team as well as information on other Raid Teams.
4. Prior to the start of the next Scavenger Hunt Event, and all susequent events, the Raid Teams should all meet to discuss what they have learned in an attempt to outsmart or out tactic their faction opposites. Each Event is one Event in and of itself and when the event ends consider what is learned is common knowledge... just don't go sharing what you know with the other faction... hint...
Section Five: Role-Play
1. Use this as an opportunity to develop your characters or guilds role-play.
2. Attempt to stay in character at all times.
Section Six: Pvp
1. Expect the Horde (Alliance) at every turn. As the Scavenger Events develop your encounters will increase in frequency.
2. The faster you move through the clues, the sooner your party will find assault.
Section Seven: Awards and Prizes
1. All gold collected from entry fees will be divided among all ten (10) members of the winning Raid team.
2. All resource items collected via clues/answers will be divided between all guilds represented.
3. Winning Party Bragging Rights and Special Awards/Recognition on Twisting Nether Forum, Guild Portal Forums, World of Warcraft News Submissions.
