This is a list of guilds planning on rushing a new RP-PvP realm (which I hear will go online Thursday!). Enjoy! XD http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.aspx?fn=wow-guild-recruitment&t=135608&p=1&tmp=1#post135608
I'm gonna roll a Tauren named Fenrir ...

well..I certainly hope no ones wants to *leave* TN. Those other places may be fun to visit, but there's no place like home.

After looking at that list of guild just for curiosity, I fear for any RP'er who goes there. Talk about a bunch of pvp kiddies.
Good thing I like it here :P

I've been noticing that as I've gone from server forum to server forum. You'll see some people trying to headhunt, some people asking about how RP is on our server and so on and so forth.
I'd actually think that the start of a new RP-PvP realm...or any PvP realm, for that matter, services Twisting Nether. Why?
Check out the people adamant about going there. I've seen roleplay communities go "well, maybe we'll roll alts". However, what we've done is carve a niche on our server for roleplayers despite the presence of PvP kiddies. We want to go over there to get away from them? I'm starting to think the opposite will be true.
It's the WoW forum phenomenon. The "First!" thing that some people need when they don't have roleplay and player organized events. Players will flock there because they suddenly see a new area where they can "dominate". People focused on dominating often powergame. Not exactly the thing RPers emphasize.
"We want to be the elite raiding guild."
"We want to be the dominant PvP guild."
These are the things that give rise to the more despised guilds on our server, I'm sure because those things have less appeal to the roleplayer. Let people emigrate from Twisting Nether, just don't let it be us roleplayers.

Wow, well after reading that thread, and Dhurandal's response, I'm seriously re-thinking rolling an alt there.
I was thinking that the server would see an influx of RPers looking for a fresh start. Building a strong community from the ground up and making the kiddies unwelcome. But it appears the exact opposite is happening. In fact it will probably be better for established RP realms like TN as Dhurandal pointed out.
I'll still check it out, but no-way I'm commiting to anything untill I know what's happening there.

This is Doodle, Guild Leader of Outlaws. We will be rolling on the RPPvP server if a PvP doesn't get released tomorrow.
Bad sign. Watch as Outlaws becomes the new server's Infamous.
I agree with the sentiments here, it's starting to look like it may not go so hot for the roleplayers.
I've been adamant about staying here anyway though.

this could be a good thing.
mabey bad
1-Good because mabey most of the PvP kiddies will move to the new server.
2-because mabey most of the PvP kiddies will be all on Alliance/horde.
3-bad because no one will RP on it, and the majority of the server will be PvP kiddies.
I hope 1 :P

I'm staying on TN. But I will roll an alt to participate in our bizaro/rush idea if we all agree on it.
Nothing more to be said.

Well, this is a good thing. Remember... nobody is asking to change there permenantly; just have a common focus of Gazette folk who may want to alt it up with established roleplayers.
Maybe I want to play with Pylith... but I don't want to slaughter his candy ass. So, we both head over to play our (example) orc warriors - out to get a piece of the action.
Tada! I can spend an hour or so questing in Stonetalon with Pylith, whacking away at harpies and pesky Alliance who dare get in our way! After an hour, I got to head over to Abric for a guild event... so we end it there. But wait! Grischach, the man who eats elf babies for lunch, signs on and has quests in Stonetalon as well. FORSOOTH!
I believe Twisting Nether had the same problem this server may have - it came out without a PvP server piggybacking it. So... you got people who seem to be unable to read "RP" in front of it, and just see "PvP."
...
Or they are those people who think "mature people are there, I'll head that way." I fucking hate that excuse... and I wish wrist cramps on those that use it.
ESPECIALLY Pylith.

Any server that is pvp will have what most call "l33t kiddies" the end. You can tag on any addition to the pvp tag you want it will make 0 difference. Some may even be attracted by the RP because now they can grief rp elitist snobs too.
I have no intention of "rerolling" there, I will probably do the alt thing but thats all.

If only Blizzard had named the RP servers differently. Like maybe just RP for the RP-PvP servers, and then RP-Lite or something for the RP-PvE servers. Then people wouldn't even know what they are unless they looked at the RP descriptions for the difference, and I doubt the PvP kiddies would ever click on a link about RP, or choose a server that didn't have PvP in its description. Oh well, too late now, wishful thinking.

No, people know what the servers are ... they just don't give a shit.
