History:
(Note: This may not all fit the lore but I have limited Warcraft knowledge so I am working with what I have. Please let me know what you think.)
She was born in Lorderon and even from an early age displayed a bit of a reclusive nature. Never having many friends, perhaps none at all it may have seemed like at times. She grew into her teen years helping her mother with her work while her father served in the military as a footman. She held no teen rebellion of any sort and did her best to help. Then came the scourge.
When the war began to unfold she was terrified. News came of so many killed in battle, even her father. But what was more unsettling was that many seemed to be raised as undead to fight against Lorderon. When the battle seemed to reach the city itself Pania was carried away to the relative safety of the southern lands by a paladin. Though she struggled at first, knowing her mother was left behind she eventually accepted that her mother was gone, most likely raised as undead. The paladin seemed so unaffected in her eyes, causing her first interest.
When she reached the southern lands she was left with priests and monks to help them. She did the best she could to help, even beyond her ability at times. A couple times she passed out from overworking herself, but alway woke and rose intent to go straight back to work... though she was always stopped by a priest or monk telling her to rest. Her dedication soon granted her the privilege to go into paladin training.
She fought long and hard to earn every bit of her training as a paladin. Though at first she was unsure of how to direct herself, more experienced paladins guided her and she came to the path of a defender (Tank). Slowly she rose in skill, still retaining her reclusive nature from her past though. Many became friends to Pania though despite this and did their best to help her. One of the most notable was the Lady Eowynn. With the help of these friends she was able to avoid slipping into a crippling depression... at least for a while. Eventually, while all others held such important duties on their shoulders, Pania remained away from others to not hinder them. Her training at this point had carried her to the recently reopened way to Outland. There she ended up uncovering a new way to deal with her depression and loneliness.
At times of being alone and isolated with nothing to do but wait Pania began a small stint of minor self mutilation. Taking her sword and slowly cutting into the palm of her left hand. Unknown to her though the blade had a curse upon it, leaking with unholy power. How she had not sensed it is anyones guess, but it is likely she was blinded by her nature. As she continued performing this action to herself almost regularly the unholy nature of the blade began to sink in like a disease. Though the blade had never caused anything like this before, this situation was much different from battle. The unholy power of the blade spread slowly up her arm in the form of dark lines that would cause great pain to Pania when using her holy magic, pain she did her best to hide.
Eventually this mark, which had ended up climbing nearly to her neck, was discovered. The unholy disease did not go down as it was pressed against by multitudes of holy magic and current medicine. It only seemed to bring greater levels of pain to Pania. Finally though, after so many painful treatments, the mark seemed to be subdued, but not removed. Pania refused any further treatment at this point, believing it to be stopped well enough. She hid the mark as best she could from then on, even from her dear friend Eowynn. As Pania made it to the pinnacle of her training though (for the moment at least) the mark began to spread again.
Though she had long since given up on the self mutilation that had caused this unholy mark it had resumed growing. Slowly it worked its way around her eye, causing it to change appearance. Strangely though it stopped there, and the lines on her arm formed into elegant markings, similar to a tatoo of some sort. At the back of her hand it formed into a claw, showing over her fingers with its own and so forth. With that it remained, no further growth or changes. She could feel it though, like a pulsing of another life form. She could feel it trying to direct her to more violent solutions to problems... and sometimes she followed them.
Time pressed slowly on and she finally decided to finish this disease off, or at least be the one to control it over it controlling her. She made plans to go into the plague lands where the scourge was based heavily in, as it was a source of powerful unholy diseases. She believed she could study them and find a solution. She set off without much notice to any, believing few would miss her.
She was last seen venturing into the plague lands alone. Her current status is missing in action, though it seems like she was spotted in the Stormwind park recently.
