For those who don't know every tuesday night on emerald dream, the Rpers take over stormwind park and have a small RP bash there. Everybody shows up from the alliance side and its a small to party and talk etc.

I was wondering if doing something like that on the TN would be fun? The ED tuesday nights are extremely popular and always packed.

Do you think we should follow along those lines to foster a stronger RP community?

Well, I'd go but... y'know... me being green and all...

Well it depends on how we want to do it. Wednesday is fine. The main idea is to get something overtly and actively RP going. The ED event is usually strictly Alliance only - as it is held in stormwind park. OOC wise I don't mind doing it with the horde.

Just how are you going to get to stormwind park :p

I remember on Scarlet Crusade, months and months and months ago, they had an RP event in Ratchet.. it was like one of those date auctions, but it was between the horde and the alliance.

I hated the event, it seemed useless to me... but maybe Ratchet would be a good place to hold an RP night here, with the new FP and all.

We could have a large event where people defect to the Seekers of Arthas! Mwahahaha!

I forget where I saw someplace where the area was huge, there were no guards, and the traffic was almost non-existant. Oh, yeah! The Twilight Grove in Duskwood. I always saw that place as having noone around ever. Ratchet is just in Horde territory, which means there's going to be some blues that can't be dealt with if they start RP griefing and the guards present will punish players for putting down those who aren't there to play.

Much like Aerie Peak during O:L, we had an RP griefer and we had to hunt them down. I'm sure each faction won't care if the opposing faction puts down an RP griefer. Just make sure you don't use AoE attacks!

Ratchet is also a bit too much of a high traffic area, inviting more griefers...although it can subsequently also attract more roleplayers who come across that way.

I happen to know a very rare elite Dragon thing spawns in the Twilight Grove. Rarely. But it does. I've been killed by it.

Twilight Grove is that center area with the un-usable portal in the middle of Duskwood, to the west of Darkshire.

Ah thanks. So it is where you find the elite dragon like you stated. Yeah that should be fun. Right in the middle of our party the dragon spawns :D

I was about to mention the elite dragon... but I think it would make the party all the more fun!

I can definatly get there, It's just the uh... you know, Alliance that are eyeing my red title.

The only area I really know that could be safe is the empty bar that Wisps and Spirits used.

I'd rather have the party be crashed by an elite dragon than by RP griefers or people who feel the urge to gank. At least when the dragon gets put down, he might drop some loot and can be skinned.

Huh. Ever tried to skin a ganker? It probably wouldn't sell well.

Is this going to be an Alliance event, Hif? Just seems to me that would work best... and so far almost everyone posting has been Horde ><. I'd think that it might be better for the roleplaying and safety's sake to have it Alliance only... and MAYBE as the event grows, turn it cross-faction. I thought that the TN Shindig was the cross-faction socializer.

By the way Dhurandal? That elite dragon is a world boss that can wipe 40 level 60 tier 1 geared players, so I wouldn't count on him being put down ;).

You say that like the combined might of the Twisting Nether Gazette couldn't take him! Hahaha! Err...well, come to think of it...yeah. There'd be spankings all around, but you can imagine how amusing that'd be on the forums.

"So how'd the event go?"
"Oh, great. It ended in a wipe though."
"What? Did everybody start fighting? Jeez, drama."
"No, the Dragon spawned and ate everyone. We all laughed about it afterwards though."

I keep imagining the scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail where the knights charge the rabbit. Although it'd be the other way around as you see all these TNG people going "Run away! Run away!".
