View Full Version : First Legion is recruiting.
Heya TN Gazette! First Legion is looking for a few new people to join our raids. So if you'd like to see Sunwell before WotLK hits, and meet the requirements, I'd love to hear from you.
Here's what we need.
1 (maybe 2) Warlock
1 Mage
1 Holy Priest, or maybe a Shadow Priest . This is mostly due to the MD requirements for the Felmyst encounter.
If interested, please visit our forum to apply.

Well...I'm kinda happy with Scion as is, but if you need the spells of a Holy priest, be more than happy to lend a cross-guild hand whenever possible.

since we're on the subject of needs for "raiding" i have a raiding question. As an MT healer, what can my paladin expect when we do Archemonde tonight?
he is Supremus size or gruul size?

Supremus sized.
Expect lots and lots and lots of dieing. Expect to want to find the slower raidmates IRL and bonk them with a cast-iron skillet after the 30th time they died in a fire they should have run away from.

I know Heid and I had a semi-IC conversation about this. Really, it was part of a catch-all explanation for Burning Crusade fights.
Fynne: "Fire hot. If hot, move out of hot!"
Heid: "Unless it's Aran!"
Fynne: "Right. Unless it's Aran."

He's not kidding either.
Supremus - Volcanos and Fire and chases you
Azgalor - rain of fire and sacrifices you for doomness
Archimonde - fire that chases you, fear, airburst, curses.. did I mention FIRE THAT CHASES YOU?
Illidan - Foot fire, fire trail from elementals GIANT LASER BEAMS PEW PEW (missing - sharks)
Uh.. Priests, we need priests. The Heally Heally kind, not the Pew Pew kind. CoH Spam, go go.

This is going to be a question of *great* ignorance...but what're the reqs for heally heally kind of priest?

Same as I expect from everyone else who isn't already in a position to get T6 gear.
- All the best badge rewards, assuming it is better than a ZA or S4 alternative.
- S4 or S3 items where they are on-par with PvE drops (some are nearly best in game for a class/spec)
Beyond that, get the best and proper enchants, rare and hopefully epic gems, etc.

Paladins setup a fear cleanse rotation.
Avoid fire
Save your 2min pvp trinket for emergencies and/or assigned usage rotation.
Don't forget to use your Tears when shot up in the air.
Don't be afraid to run right back in range of the tank to heal them, but also keep your group alive.
Pretty much there's no excuse to wiping on Archimonde once people know how to work around the fire trails, fear effect, and being shot up in the air. It's all about survival. Anyone dies, highly likely the raid will wipe, but if everyone does it right and simply survives the boss will go down.

AKA -- A LOT OF BADGES.
Before we were doing sunwell with any kind of progression I swapped from my druid to my priest as a main raider. It took roughly three weeks to get up to par, 500 badges, and enough money for epic flying and a mount (which I do not have) Thankfully Frozen shadowweave is WAY better for shadowpriests then it is for warlocks, because It pushed me way above others, and while I still had to badge replace my robes, I can't replace my boots untill Kil'jaden >.< There is absolutely nothing better ;x
Do the heroic daily, all three ssc dailies, and at least two helfire ones every day. If you have a fairly decent group you can do all of that in about 4 hours. Then go to Kara once a week for a full clear. 22 badges from kara, 4 to 6 badges for the daily, 9 badges from ssc, and at least 6 from hellfire if not 9 if you do all three.
(counting 9 and 9 instead of 9 and 6)Thats 149 to 155 badges a week, which is enough for a new peice of gear off the island badge vendor every week with the most expensive one (weapon) on week 4. You can pick up an offhand to the mace on week 2 (70 badges) off the Naru badge vendor.
I don't know how good the healing talioring set is, but its a great place to start as well. Also, if you're really serious and have spare gold, I can bet you anything Orin and focault'd be willing to sell you the bt equiv crafted healing bracers/shoulders... I'm just not sure how much they are >.<
There are alot of s3/s4 items that are dynamite for pve too, like the haste neck. I rock out the pvp damage hase neck, because shy of a drop off the Eredar twins, or dropping tailoring or enchanting for jewlcrafting, its the best in the game.

As much as I know abric hates it, I'm going to bump it one more time because we really do need a couple of priests who are competent and who can log in more then twice a week. If you think you might be intrested, but lack the gear requirements hit me up in game and we'll see about dragging you through badge content and the like. I'd much rather help gear out someone who's a good healer with crappy pug-group luck then pick up someone who was handed gear and can't heal their way out of a wet paper bag.
I don't know if we're doing it this week or not, but we've been doing a semi-pug Hyjal on Saturday nights as well, first four bosses, and save for t6 gloves, all the loot is open roll(main spec first).
I'll know by friday if I'm working on sunday -- If I am, my "rp kara" will be later on in the evening, around 6:30 -7pm on sunday evening.
