The Briss Rabbi Jacobs was about to retire. He went into his study and eyed his "tip jar." He had collected these memories throughout his service, and wanted to do something with them.
He took the jar to his friend Schwartz the tailor. He said to Schwartz, "My friend, could you use these as material to make a memento for me to have in my retirement?"
Schwartz replied, "Of course, Reb Jacobs. Come back in a week and see what I have made for you."
In a week, Rabbi Jacobs returned to Schwartz's shop. With an air of anticipation filling the room, Schwartz the tailor presented Rabbi Jacobs with a fine coin purse. "That will be $300," said Schwartz.
"$300 for a coin purse?" cried Rabbi Jacobs. "Have you gone meshuggeh?"
Schwartz the tailor replied, "A, Reb Jacobs, a coin purse now, but stroke it gently and it becomes a suitcase."
