There will no longer be set ticks.. but rather a tick is always 1 mana or energy, and the regen rate will be how often a tick occurs. A clip of this change can be found here. (http://files.filefront.com/regenmechavi/;11267790;/fileinfo.html)
Interesting stuff.

Hmm this would be a interesting...change, the video looks like its in fast forward though, but I guess the rogue bar increasing like that confirms it. I'm not to sure about this change...I haven't really looked into it and I'm not going to say I like it only cause yeah I'm not understanding how its going to work. Rogue energy always seems like a spike gain and in my mind it looks like that would help them out more then energy a second cause as long as they are dpsing they will never be at 100, or take them awhile to get to 100, once again with the second gain mechanic.
*scratches his head* and how this puts healers on par with each other I don't know. Since priests, druids where the regeners and shammies were the mp5ers. Its all confusing nooooo! Video hurts my head!

I am guessing this will change with the streamlining of gear where all the healers will be looking for similar stats.

I will not wear anything besides plate! I already got a pride balls check in SSC and TK days with wearing a mail shammie belt and boots >< It be honestly be weird if I was wearing spirit on a pally, "WTF! That plate armor as spirit on it!" That be something to get use to for sure my spirit stat as been like...baseline for I don't know how long. I'm not sure if the healers are all being streamlined to fit the same stats too cause everyone would have the same mana regen. But then you got classes like the pally that regen mana in another way, so that be two regens for the pallies over the other healers.
Its going to be confusing none the less I will miss seeing +healing and now just be spell dmg. But I know its not really going to change my capabilites to heal, the mechanic just confuses me and I just move along with it nodding my head.

You're over reacting Roth. There is no reason to believe that the mechanics of classes are changing. All we see in the video is a change to mana and energy per 2 seconds to mana and energy per 1 (or fewer) seconds. There is a blue bost on the beta forums about how rogues will regen 1 energy in 1/10th of a second, or 20 energy in two seconds. Their rate of gain hasn't changed, but it will help their DPS for when the miss attacks and are at 35 out of a needed 40 to sinister strike, for example.
Healers have always used the same regen mechanics anyways; mp5. It's how it shows in the character screen and it always has been accurate for us. The only difference is that paladins and shaman get mp5 from the purebred mp5 stat whereas priests and druids can get a decent amount from spirit as well, and we have lower mp5 amounts on our gear to compensate for that.
End result: If you're OOM, those last second emergency heals from regen will come a little faster. Like less than 2 seconds faster.

Hehe well I a ment to overreact in my posts no worries Taknar. Its just something weird to see changing. Heck I'm playing the paladin class that is changing all over the place come WotLK. Do to Vill's no WotLK unofficial spoiler creed all I will say is pallies judgment mechanic is apparently changing, aka look on wiki dot and paladins if you want to know. So things are changing around and its pretty cool. People thought BC was going to be so much different and so forth but it just moved along. I love what they are doing with WotLK so far.
P.S. as long as Divine Plea makes it through to WotLK I could careless what changes mp5 have seen all I will know is I finally got a innervate!! >> *hides from Vill for letting that one out*

Crusader, Light, things like that have their effects folded into all relevant seals. It's been confirmed, it's been announced, it's been debated to death. So I'm going to save anyone time.
They're simplifying the hell out of everything, as the trend seems to be. I don't like it.

Actually the only thing that I have mentioned that as been blue posted is 2min seals instead of 30sec seals and Divine Plea. Nothing about what wikidot WotLK as about the new judgment set up as been blue posted and is being purely being tested on the beta server. Judgment is being removed and paladins are given 3 judgments now instead of generic judge and use up the seal. But not going into that like I said
I guess it does make things easier though, I can keep wisdom on the target and use whatever seal I want.
Edit: Disclaimer I am derailing I know what can I say I am a pally and I am a healer. This mana regen thing just made me think of my own class and how it will effect it. I like it just cause pallies have the hardest time with their mana bars refilling, I think, compared to other healers

I always thought the stealth ability should be either timed (say a minute at most), or drain Action Points as they keep it.

This doesn't really have much impact on casters, but it's a pretty big deal for rogues and druids. No more waiting for another tick to get the one or two more energy points needed to use an ability.

Yes and no. If I timed it right, rogues and druids will still be getting energy back at the same rate, just in a much more smooth mannor than they do now.

Very nice. No more wasting space on energy tick bar addon.

After putzing around in the beta with it, the main impact it's going to have is for opening attacks. There's no more timing it along with a tick to get a free 20 energy just as you start an attack. But other than that, it plays very smoothly; no more waiting at 39 energy to make an attack, and I can see that this, along with taking kick off the GCD, will make some rogue fights (RoS, anyone?) much easier!
