This might of been an 'issue' before you came...but for a while there was a huge 'vampire' crowd on our server. We hated them, for all they stood for.

Wait, is this serious? Or fan art?
There's still a few around, to my understanding. I just try to pretend they don't exist.

That's great. And by great, I mean "the exact opposite of great".
Maybe they figured since so many people were playing them anyway they might as well stick them in?

Now if we could get a race of catgirls put in somewhere.....
Don't forget the cat men.

I think that's just the skin coloration, which would be closer to a nelf's if they're undead. Look at their clothing; that's the style you see amongst some of the magisters. I'm guessing that those NPCs are High Elf arcanists converted to undead during the Scourging of Quel'Thalas.

Their bodies and ears resemble Night elves, although on second glance they could pass for Highborne.

Those are the San'Layn, a group of undead, vampiric and cannibalistic high/blood elves that act as the Scourge's diplomats. Their leader, Prince Keleseth, acts as an emissary to the Vrykul.

Fitting, since I remember everyone that was something other than a nelf played with a nelf (before belfs came along).

And the next idiot who roleplays a vampire will get white ash wooden stakes in his chest and a fist full of garlic, added with being crucified out in the sun! If he vampirizes, he is Scourge!

I know lovely was there while he was still Alliance... but I can't seem to place the two others.
I think it was Cyrass and jemmelass. Either way, we ended up fending off a legion of Alliance all while targeting the vampire "broodlord". Good fun

They also send ambassadors to the Vrykul. That's why they haven't joined the Scourge until WotLK.

If I'm online when that happens, I will be joining you to wipe the Scourge taint in the populace, while killing the Alliance as an added bonus.

I researched a bit more into this and found this thread (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=8430243588&sid=1&pageNo=1) in the official RP forums. Tharion of Earthen Ring, whose style of OOC bracketing brings back bad memories, claims that:
They're quest NPCs so far that I've found.
The first one you encounter as a DK (in the starting quests) essentially makes a reference to "you may not like my choice of delicacy" or something to that effect. He seems to drool when thinking about killing the folk in the village below the DK starting zone.
It's safe to assume that he eats people or drinks blood, yes.
Can someone in Beta confirm?

Medivh has the same stature as a NE. But they use that for height.
I will now create a vampire slayer. I will then find the names of every person RPing a vampire Alliance side, and I will hunt and camp them until they log off one by one. When I have gone through the entire list, I will start again. Tea-bagging all the way through.

spriests have Vampiric Touch and Vampiric Embrace but I think that's just referring to the leech effect of both spells. Not the spriest being an actual vampire.
