Its how i draw my energy. The Children are channeling their mental powers into a single beam...that i will focus into my power.

I've checked that out myself. There was a huge topic on the beta forums about it. I love the background music up there.

Heh, the Alliance has a gay bar and creepy children.

Oh, and Night Elves.

TRUE EVIL!

I always wondered what the hell was up with those kids...

Not that I've ever been to Goldshire, or anything... *cough*

Most probably another reference to some movie/book/comic.

Blizzard is very fond of those, and I think it adds a lot to the world.

There was a thread about this on the WoW General forums recently with many guesses about these children.

The boring explanation is that the children play in Goldshire, and when they're done playing, they are stored in that house. Their names are the names of six Blizzard employees (artists or developers, I think). The creepy music plays in many houses in Goldshire. They're not standing in a pentagram formation; that's just their play formation. And the groups of six (six logs by the fire, etc.) is no more common in this house than anywhere else in the game.

A more interesting explanation is that someone said that house is near Crystal Lake, where Jason stands on the dock, and they represent kids from the camp in the Friday the 13th movie. Other people said some things about unmarked graves, bones on the ground, and other wild connections.

I haven't been there yet. I might have to take a trip! :)

Except Jason in the game is this red neck looking guy who I recall talks stupidly and I think is a fishing trainer ;p.

Nah! Those are just my choir boys/girls..

They seem to like getting into the herbs I gather though.. what they do with them is anybodys guess...

((Seriously though, I suspect its an obscure pop culture homage, maybe "Children of the Damned"?))

Hmmm. Blair Witch project? hehe that was freaky, whether really in the game or not...freaky!

Children of the damned was my first guess at first too. Are they all blond kids ? I guess I could check again...

I think I might go visit this house tonight, if I can find it.

I was thinking more "Children of the Corn."

They do live in a farmhouse.

Well

I can't buy Corn.

Only Fruit, Shrooms, Bread, Water, Meat, and Fish

I actually looked into this. I even took video, but then figured people would just get bored.

The creepy music doesn't just happen in that house, it happens in every iteration of that kind of house. I tried it in there, then went to Eastvale Logging Camp and it happened there (really the only place with a legitimate reason for the creepy music), and then went to bright and sunny Theramore, where apparently the evil Master Tailor trainer upstairs warranted the music.

So, who knows. Maybe it's just a glitch, or maybe there's something Blizzard's trying to tell us.........

Must just be some weird music error..

Like when you enter Shazzrah's place and it starts playing bar music.

I never really got that.

Magmadar's Cave has the "War" song that plays in the Scarlet Monastary.

They likely just ran out of good fighting music. And it is the alliance they are all creepy psychos!

I own the Collector's Edition Soundtrack

it's actually pretty good

Just that there's all sorts of music that wasn't included.

Run the "Credits" on your login screen, there's some whacky little music in there that sounds gnomish, but isn't.. I've never heard it anywhere else. It's not from Everlook either (Everlook isn't in the CD either).

I dunno.. I think Tracy is a great composer. He should write and do some more work.
