After awakening, he found himself in a room, unsure of who he was or where he had ended up. His last memory of being human was on the brink of death, and Cerath had saved his life by preserving his soul.
Cerath had full control over his string of life, and so Shadow was forced to swear obedience, and has never regretted his decision. Cerath had forced to work against Death to gain control over the body, and started with the destruction of the Grim. Under oath, he must slay the Grim one by one until their very leader, Malebrignon, is dead.
