I've driven alot of race cars, ALOT of them in fact... and one still scares the shit out of me every time I take it out for a drive. First let me share the experience of driving it.
You know that feeling of anticipation while you are riding to the top of the biggest drop on a roller coaster? Then suddenly dropping so fast, your body is pinned backwards, and physics controls your actions? That's this car... Preparing for launch with the line lock/trans brake on, hearing the car rev, the turbo spool... then releasing everything. If you aren't holding onto the steering wheel tight enough you will crash, if you blink, you can crash... if you breath, you can crash. It is a 9 second ride strapped to a missile. AND I LOVE IT!... anyway.. the car is a fully race prepped 1994 Toyota Supra, which on "low power" will produce 1,200 horse power at the rear wheels, meaning at the engine it produces over 1500...
That experince is ALMOST better then sex.... almost..
So how about you?

My Honda... the zippy, dirty little green cockroach that won't die until giant boots fall out of the sky.
As for really fast cars... nope. Not unless you count the years I didn't have a license and my sister had to drive me around.

I drove a friend home in his IROC once. The damn thing absolutely refused to go the speed limit. I literally could not slow down. Fortunately it was not a red IROC...

My horde sticker is in the mail -=0
And your car belongs on the road course... you need to sign up for our drivers education event in August in Alabama.. $150 for all day driving with instructor ! so much fun.... I love STI's because they stick and go... so much fun.
And the Iroc is fun =) another car like that was a 06 viper.. you had to drive it in 4th and 5th gear because unless you are going 100mph, 6th gear can damage the engine because it is turning so slow.
Can't wait for my 2009 Nissan GTR...

I work at a car dealership and manage the inventory at said dealership. That said, anything that's made under the Chevy, Cadillac, Saab or Hummer nameplate I've driven and abused. I'm just waiting for the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V ride and drive for dealership employees so I can beat the piss out of a spanking new CTS with a supercharged Vette engine in it.

I work for a huge automotive group and I keep trying to get them to send me to the store that carries the Lambos, Bugattis, Bentlys, Rolls Royces and Mazerattis.
They won't for some reason.

Hmmmm...
If you're talking strictly cars - It would have to be my old navy buddy's '77 Bonneville. Yes, '77 Bonneville... 12.76 sec quarter mile, lifts the front tires off the ground, 4,000lb '77 Bonneville. It had a few modifications from stock... 455ci Oldsmobile engine, racing cam, single plane manifold, custom ported heads, 700 Holly double pumper, 3,000 stall torque converter, turbo 400 tranny, 3.73 posi rear. Other than the drive train, the car was stone stock. The perfect example of a sleeper...he embarrassed soooooo many people with that car. What a blast it was to drive.
"There's no replacement for displacement!" - Chris Pisarick (car's owner and builder)
If you include motorcycles...
I got to play around on a GSXR750 a few times. That was pretty impressive.
For sheer acceleration, though, I would have to say my old CR500 motocrosser was the quickest. The thing was a beast...one quick turn of the wrist and instant warp drive. 60+ horsepower in a 210 lb bike makes for some awesome power to weight ratio. :)
EDIT: Sweet ride you have there, Drinn! I love those Impreza STI's.

When I was 18 my friend let me drive his Honda CB750-R from Sudbury to North Bay Ontario.
This was not your average CB750-R. He had it bored out to about a 920cc, Wolf Headers and a full cafe race fairing. The thing routinely beat out Interceptors and Ninjas on the racetrack.
Well, the acceleration is so damn fast the front tire actually lifts if you aren't careful and it will suck the snot out of your sinuses. Its bark when you throttled rattled the china in houses one block over.
Imagine strapping yourself to a Tomahawk missle and you come close to the experience. It was thrilling and terrifying at the same time. Only drove it that one time and it was enough for me.

I once got my sisters POS hyundai to 120 on the Parkway in Ct.... not the fastest I have gone in a car but by far the scariest....
I thought it was going to shake itself apart, as this was back in the old days when they were total crapfests for vehicles.
Otherwise, the suped up Highway Patrol versions of the Mustang GTs that used to be used here in FL. A friends family bought a bunch at auction and we used to tear up their private property in those bad boys...

the fastest things i've driven was one fo the Infinity G series cars that my boss had.
however the fastest I've actually driven is 95 on my Honda Nighthawk which pretty much scared the shit out of me when a big gust of wind blew me across me lane and into another and i haven't done it since!
