Too much stuff floating around out here for Elves. It's well known that this board is more than a little horde-centric, and nowadays it feels like there are only two races being represented. Orc, and Elves.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Orcs. They have some neato shamanism, and the warrior culture thing is very cool. But it's been covered.

After them we have Forsaken, who got the whole zombie schtick going on.

What we really need is some time to appreciate some of the more distinctive races of the Horde. Tauren and Trolls.

Yes, we have some wonderful players of both sides, and yes Trolls are VERY vocal about their troll pride. BUt appart from a handful of flag wavers representing each race, there's next to nothing on them. Why not take a bit of time to show the love to the folk that taught the Horde the ways of the Spirits, and the mons with the scary voodou? If only for a change of pace.

Damn straight. Best way to serve elves, as unidentifiable chunks of flesh.

((So are you looking for stories, rp or something else? I'm kind of curious. I mean yeah my main is a Tauren and all but one of my alt slots is taken by trolls. I have a tauren/troll story in the works and could more then likely whip something together for the alts.

Any one want to do a group working?))

*pokes the stew expecting it to bite*

I support trolls because I know how to play them. I support taurens because Feralmoon would rip me a new one if I didn't. I'd support them more than that if I could actually figure out a way to rp one.

Not enough orcs Imo.

Or Taurens.

Stories, arts, prons, whatever. The point is to get them out and into the spotlight for a while.

I do enjoy visiting troll villages. Their lifestyle is laid back, their culture is interesting. However....I have to complain that you trolls kept sticking those spears of yours right outside my lodging with those heads on them! What is this, are you trying to chase out your Forsaken guest? And what's with those skulls in my soup? I have never encountered any other race that insists on putting a night elven skull in my fish stew! Imagine my shock when I put on my napkin and then be greeted by a lobster with the head of an elf!

I had never stayed in a troll village for more than a day because of all those heads that are piling up in my lodging! It feels like I was getting chased out!

Taurens are fine, but they always eye me with suspicion. No, I am not thinking about making beef steak, I had never touched beef even when I was alive! No, I am not contaminating your feed with Mad Cow Disease prions! Hey, that patty on that grill is not your brother! Stop being so paranoid around me! No, I don't use daggers to butcher tauren! If I wanted to do that, I will be wielding cleavers!

I have a troll I arpees now and then, he's frostmane tchu!

I also have a Tauren Druid who gets touched maybe once a month.

Tauren are fun to play, yet hard to rp with if you don't have other Tauren nearby.

I keep wanting to get back to my Tauren druid and Troll hunter... I just never find the time...

I need to do more lore research on trolls and tauren though... I am clueless really in that aspect.

Seriously tauren aren't that hard to rp with out other tauren around..... unless you are into the silly mooing for tauren speak. ;) (yes I have done it from time to time with other goofy rpers. gets you some weird looks from folks wandering around. lol)

I've found that the easiest thing for Tauren RP is to have a concrete idea in your mind as to how the character thinks. If you have that you can flow into mannerisms and what not. Trolls are just fun as all hell. I have one troll where I love to see if I can keep up with the think accent I decided to give her.

I already have something planned for June, involving all the Horde (although I do give much props to continuing and enhancing the Troll and Tauren RP experience! (Yay Vesker!)

I love my Troll. Poor Voojim and his mama eating all his siblings.

Grainia likes Voojim very much, especially if he's wearing his loincloth. She also has a new Tauren friend. And, no, nothing is going on, she's in a very happy relationship.

Complete with signs that say

"Trolls *Are crossed out* Eat People Too!"

If you do a city to city march (my god the walk from Org to TB.... and I so would walk the entire way) organize a date, I will try to have my hunter go.

Xiphus has been very unlucky so far. Who in Zanzas name would put Night elf skulls in a fish stew. This is a crude practice, hearkening back to the days that Trolls ate anything, anywhere.

These days, allot of us Trolls are much more sophisticated. We KNOW Night elves skulls are good for just one thing. Red meat! To combine them with anything else is wasting a perfectly good skull!

Now, for a great fish stew, I suggest starting out with some sturdy fish , like a fillet of Naga. When cutting up in bite sized chucks, please, take into consideration who you are serving, blood elf bite size would definately not serve an Orc.

Now cut up half a blueleaf tuber (golden sansam root will not taste as good but you can get away with it instead of the expensive blueleaf , IF you don't have very picky guests and a tight budget) , a handfull of Khadgar's whiskers, and some stranglekelp according to taste. Heat oil, saute tuber till it gets a hint of brown, then add kelp and whiskers. Stir for a 100 heartbeats. (If you have trouble keeping the naga's heart beating after taking out the fillet, I suggest catching 2. Timing is everything)

Now add fillet chunks, a jug of bourbon, and some clam juice (Squeeze down hard*) Simmer till fish is just cooked, add local seasoning. Remove from fire, add 5 to 10 Murloc eyes per eater, and serve immedeatly.

Enjoy!

* Most cooks prefer zesty clam meat for this, but with the addition of the Blood elves to the Horde, recipes have been changing hands, and some now prefer tangy clam meat. If you go for this, add a chopped up red apple to the tuber for maximum effect.

Pride parade for ALL, actually! ;P But I wouldn't hold it against you to have a race-specific line. *smirks* P.S.: Talk to me if you're interested in helping out! ;p I've been workin' on an event for this very thing. ^.-

I force fed a poisoned version of your fish fillet to a dwarf and he exclaimed that it was the most delicious thing he has ever tasted before he promptly drop dead! You must teach me more recipes!
