Barke

He stared at the upturned grave for a long while. He glanced over at a paw print in the ground as Kurohane pointed it out. She mentioned it being a panther which he agreed with. She then turned her attention to another mark. He followed her eyes to the hoof print. Why would there be a hoofprint out here? She mentioned not really knowing what it was. He had seen it somewhere...

We have seen this before. A long time ago.

He nodded as he thought back to where he might have seen it.

A long time ago...our brother.

Of course...the druid. His golden eye narrowed a bit. "I have seen this before."

Stag.

He nods. He did not mention this to Kurohane as he told her what he was planning to do. "I am going to visit some old "Friends" about this."

She seemed to know him better than he had thought. She said something about being glad she was not going to be there. He laughed and told her it was not going to be a violent trip which was a lie of course. These old friends thought he was dead and as long as they thought he was dead they would not come after him. He needed to speak with them though. He was not going to run from them. He was going to take his people and his land back.

------------------------------

Barke sighed as he came upon the graves. There we four newer ones next to his brothers graves.

Haha. This seems to be the resting place of all ours you killed. Starting with me and our brother.

"Hmph. I did not want to kill you. You attacked first...." He sighed. It was just an excuse.

We both enjoyed our battle. I have no regrets....other than you won. *laughs*

He kneeled down and said a quiet prayer in the druidic language he rarely spoke.

Arrow! Move!

In an instant he was on his feet and arrow hitting the ground where he was a moment before. He took off through the trees trying to find his attacker. He knew who it was before he saw him. He dodged arrow after arrow as he made his way towards the night elf hunter who had killed him before. His silver eye flared for a moment as Mirah's Song chopped an arrow down. He could not bring the sword back in time to block the second arrow. He raised his arm up the arrow going through his forearm. He gimaced in pain hurling his sword towards the hunter.

The hunter easily moved out of the way of the sword but Barke was in full sprint right behind it. Silent Fang flashed white as he cut across and past the hunter. The hunter stared in disbelief at Barke for a long moment before his head fell free of his body.

Well that is one way to start this....

"Shut up..." He muttered as he retrived Mirah's Song from the tree it was sticking out of. He turned around only to see that tauren....that tauren was dead. At least he thought he was.

That one is protected by his powers. He has died many times since you left only to return shortly.

"So he is the best to find out what I need..." Barke snickered quietly to himself. "'ey! Ah've got some questions teh be askin' an' Ah think yeh 'ave meh answers."

"Alright the usual payment then." The tauren spoke in that druidic language and vines started to wrap around Barke's legs.

The vines fell free as Barke cut them. He rushed forward swords at ready. The tauren quickly shot something from his hands. Some green light but Barke was no longer in front of him. He twisted in the air above the tauren landing lightly behind the big form. He twisted around and under the taurens massive hand as he swung around to face Barke. And again Barke twisted around reversing his grip on Silent Fang. As he finished his spin he plunged the sword through the spine of the tauren who looked to scream in pain but the sword had stolen his voice. After a moment the tauren slumped down unable to move hi legs. Barke seemingly had two daggers replace the swords in his hands as he stood atop the taurens chest. He stabbed each one through one of the taurens hands pinning him to the ground.

"Yeh will tell meh everythin' Ah be needin' teh know...an' if Ah feel yer 'oldin' back anythin' yeh will be sorry." Barke laughed.

------------------------

After a long night and a lot of screaming and cursing from the tauren Barke was on the move again. He left the tauren paralized and tied to a tree for the local animals to feast on. Later more screaming was heard as he found his own. He hummed the old song from his younger days. Battle erupted. Two sides fought.

He said it could be Remulos. That means it was the same thing we saw back then. What does that mean?

"I don't know. We will worry about it later brother." Barke started humming that old song he always hummed.

*Hums the same song*

Barke was taking back his own from the corruption.

He did not want to leave Stormwind when he was needed to fight against the undead but he needed to be in Felwood as well. He promised those few that he would return. The fighting had started before he even arrived. They were vastly outnumbered.

He watched as a warrior fought in the center. She was fought with two swords against all comers. It was obvious she was leading while he was away and he could think of no better person.

She does not need our assistance. We should only fight where we are hard pressed. Keep to the shadows and only reveal ourselves when we are needed.

Barke nodded once as his eye scanned the battle. A hunter was being rushed. She was firing arrows at a rapid rate but soon was going to be over run by the skilled attackers.

There! Go!

"I know...be quiet." He muttered under his breath and rushed out to cut off the attackers.

His swords worked frantically to keep the attackers at bay. He spent most the fight parrying attacks on all sides trying to keep them back from the hunter. He took a quick glances back to see the hunters continuing to fire arrow after arrow. He was now acting as more of a distraction so the hunter could take down their enemy.

Breathing heavy and bleeding from various wounds. He nodded to the hunter who was already collecting arrows she could use. He slipped back into the shadows.

After what seemed an eternity the battle ended. Barke's left arm hung limp at his side blood stemmed only by the crude bandage he wrapped around his shoulder. His golden eye was shut as blood poored from a cut above that eye. His hand closed over a arrow wound in his side.

We have won. Take a rest.

He shook his head. "Return to the Moonglade if you all want. Or rebuild here. You all have my support when needed...just find me." He nodded before turning only to run into the hunter he had helped.

She forced him back and he felt a group around him. "You cannot see. Let us treat you then you may leave."

She has a point. You cannot see.

He nodded again and let out a sigh. They treated him and after a few hours sent him on his way.

His return to Stormwind set him back into battle. He took up his swords and rushed to where he was needed. He still did not have full feeling in his arm and his side burned from the arrow that hit him but he continued to fight.

This is why we exist. We live for the fight. Fight hard brother and we will win. *hums*

Barke grins wickedly as he starts humming with the voice. He pounced on the closest undead he saw hacking away at it.

If he still felt pain from his old wounds or his new ones he did not show it.
