Im having a few patch issues... It went 1-82% in about 9 seconds, but it's stuck at 83% and it's been at 83% for a while. Anyone else have an issue like this or is it just something bad on my part? It says my tracker isn't responding but the page isn't loading.

I just got back from a long day, to say the least, so this is greatly infuriating me.

Just a thought.... did you kill any of the background downloaders that have been popping up these past few weeks? It could be looking for information that it expects to be there, but that info isn't there because you killed the download.

I'd just kill it and get the patch from fileplanet or something.

there are places to download it free. I've done it many times when my downloader botched it.

Heh... My Blizzard downloader said it connected fine, so I left my computer alone for 45 minutes, only to return and see that not a single byte had been downloaded. I did several things to try to get the thing to even start downloading (it would connect with up to 5 other peers) but no dice.

I eventually found some working (non-pay) download sides to get the file from. Right now WorthPlaying.com seems to have the best download speed.

If anyone else needs download links, look in the story on www.bluesnews.com. It links to several sites that might help someone out.

After about 45 min I finally hit 90%, then it opened wide and I got download speeds of 72 .. last 10 % took 3 min..

My husband and I have identical systems and our computers are connected. His downloaded the entire patch in about 30 minutes. Mine took 6 hours.

(Alright. I finally got it installed after hours and what am I greeted with? First of all, none of my mods work. FlagRSP, CT_RaidAssist, and Titan Panel being the most bothersome to not have.

Secondly. The LFG channel is now global. That's right, everybody can hear everybody and they're having a field day spamming it with idle chatter. I give it a few days before hopefully someone starts handing out warnings for spamming the channel. I reaaaaally hope. Until then, looks like most people with be looking for group on the general channels now.

Until then, LFG is filled with idiots discussing class differences and what the hell is going on with the city and what that thing floating outside Stormwind is and...gah. My head hurts.)

I do like the Scourge invasion. Interesting things are going to happen in my character's storyline due to this.

However, it also sucks.

At level 41, I go outside the city to kill the random mobs that spawn, only to find mages and paladins camping the areas, then using AOE's to kill everything when it spawns.

Finally, I kill 3 of the slow spawning mobs and get my stones to turn in. Then, there are no other quests available to me (I assume because of my level, and I can't get on my 60 due to RP stuff), but they say the scourge are attacking certain areas...

I go to Tanaris, thinking maybe I can fight the scourge there, since I am the right level for the zone. When I finally find the floating Ziggurat, Echelon is camping it and killing any Alliance that gets near it, and the mobs are all skulls to me anyway.

So, at level 41, am I just supposed to do that one little stone quest with the level 6 mobs and be done with it? That quest isn't even repeatable.

Am I missing something?

Yeah, I fought some of those earlier, but was only scratching them. Big fight in the cathedral. hehe. <3

I fought on the streets and in the throne room, not to mention that there were reports of Horde assailing Stormwind at the same time.

I encourage everyone to take advantage of this to write some interesting reactions to the Scourge invasion. I was already beginning one when I noticed Zusteakai started a thread.

Maybe we should start a thread called "Where were you when the Scourge invaded" or something a bit less campy where everyone writes a bit about their perspective of when things turned upside down?

Fileplanet is free if you get the extra long wait times.

And, yeah, Horde are dominating the Scourge spawning points. We've already wiped the world clean of the first invasion.

The first spawning point I was at, there were both Horde and Alliance, no one was attacking anyone. Then these two dumbass night elf hunters started picking off low healthed horde, and the Horde just rushed and killed all the Alliance.

After that, all I saw at the summoning circles were Horde.

Hmmm... I've always downloaded the patches okay from mirror sites, but today the patch is downloading sllllooooowwwlllyyy. 7 hours?! What could be causing this, anyone know? I've got a cable connection, the rest of the internet seems to be going at an okay speed.

Eh, by the time I logged on all the invasions had been crushed. All the raiding guilds took them out by 7pm server time... unless they reset or something, I dunno.

I'm jaded about the pvp armor thing.. I JUST made Knight-Lieutenant this week, and was pumped up aabout my armor, and being so close to lvl 58 to wear it.. but, meh.. they up'd it to 60.. and me being a super-slow leveller... Oh well, my urge for PvP died with my frustration about it.. so I'll just be a nice typical Alliance PvE'r now.

You should see how tidy I keep my room and you'll see how well I clean up. After all, what do they say about cluttered rooms and cluttered minds? I think they have more creative gems hidden under all that mess!

That's strange. AFter I saw Teelia's post, I was going to respond rather differently;

I only got to fight in the Plaguelands during the first wave, but during the second wave (At about midnight to one in the morning), I gathered a group of Infection and we destroyed one crystal in the Plaguelands, then went on to Azshara. The summoning circles in Azshara were completely UNTOUCHED; we got pieces from almost all the Undead Slaying sets because we were taking on the full crystal by ourselves before others started trickling in.

However, I've seen Echelon and Novus at just about every easy-to-access invasion.

Of course, I have nothing against either guild; I PvP a lot and none of them have ever been discourteous in the battlegrounds. In fact, several Novus members have been very polite and so forth. Ah well.
