They should be saved in jpg format by default now instead of png

If you open the image in paint, you should be able to save it as a JPEG.

But JPEGS suck, find a way to get your computer reading PNGs.

I use Ifranview. Is most awesome program. I got it free. You should be able to find it somewhere or another.

BTW, while we're on the subject...

Can you CHANGE any sorts of settings to where it makes them into PNG's like before? I do find they are better quality and better for my uses (forgive me if this is a stupid question) ... :P

I think it used to be in the interface options before they changed it.

There's a console command, lemme see...

Ah, here we go!

Type the following in game to set the image format as TGA:

/console screenshotFormat tga

To set back as JPG you can type the following:

/console screenshotFormat jpg

Type the following to set the image quality (the variable at the end can be set from 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest quality, or uncompressed).

/console screenshotQuality 10

EDIT: Scratch that, you can't make images .PNG. A JPG at a quality of 10 is fairly compressed and a decent quality though.

You can even set them for good from config.wtf in the WTF file.

To set the image format (either tga or jpg), and to set the image quality (1-10):

SET screenshotFormat tga
SET screenshotQuality 10

I open all of my old screenshots in Photoshop, and convert them from there.

IrFran View works perfectly. You can also edit pictures as well and save them to a differnt format (im sure all can do that but ifv is just a free lil picture/vid viewer that dont cost $100+).
