I have had 4 nosebleeds in the past 5 days.. One of them in my sleep (resulting in the loss of a pillow).

I don't snort any drugs, so has anybody ever had bouts of nosebleeds like this? Because it's not sounding medically sound to me.

Also, sorry for the simplicity of the post... Typing with one hand... I think the reason is obvious.

Stop watching porn o_o Don't you know? It causes nosebleeds! Look at anime! they always get nose bleeds. <,< I think it's increased blood pressure from jerking their turkey too much...

I'd imagine though man you ought to see if the humidity in your room is good. Also if you've got allergies and since pollen is increasing you could be getting them as a result. Best advice? You know your own body. If you feel something isn't right? talk to your doctor.

Stop picking your nose.

*Nod*

I used to get them a lot, the main reason they come around is because of increased blood pressure as Feralmoon so pointed out... If you're under stress or unwell it's easy to get them a lot.

I usually get nosebleeds myself around the time the seasons change... because air wise, there are only 2 seasons: Dry, and not-so-dry. My sinuses, apparently are extremely sensitive to changes in humidity, or the lack OF humidity as they get dried out (even when it's not-so-dry, somehow... I don't understand my own biology), and apparently my blood vessels of my face are close to the inner edge of my nostrils, so... yeah. Random gushing nosebleeds. I actually had one that was so bad I was getting lightheaded, and people at my work at the time were freaking out on whether or not to call an ambulance.

I think stress also plays into them... I remember the one at my work was during a day at Q-zar when they had back to back birthday parties all day, and both the hosts called in 'sick' so I was stuck doing everything and running around frantically. The fact that the owner was a dumbass and didn't bother to fix the air conditioning EVER in the building didn't help anything either (100+ degrees outside... guess how hot it was inside a building with 40+ screaming flailing children and their parents at any given time, with a pizza oven running).

So... you're probably like me and the change of season is getting to you as well as it being the last month or so of school, among other things you might be stressed about. Your region could be having shifts in barometric pressure too, which can cause nosebleeds. That might be it, since you live in a state that gets a lot of storms.

I have suffered from cronic nose bleeds since I was a little girl. Most are completely unwarrented. Once in a blue moon it's because I have blown my nose too much or something. But 8 times outta 10 they just ranodmly start. And most the time they are pretty violent.

I could have attributed this to high blood pressure the past 3-4 years but since I've had them since I was little I couldn't have been just that.

I wouldn't worry too much, doctors have never said anything to me about it before. And none seemed concerned when I mentioned it.

Granted -- is this just recently or do you have nose bleeds often?

I too have chronic nose bleeds. This is caused because I have an engorged blood vessel in my right nostril, and have severe allergies, the medication for which dries my nose out real good. They are especially bad in the winter when the heater dries out the air, and when seasons are changing.

I get nosebleeds all the time, and I am completely sound medically and psychologically.

HOWEVER you should probably see a doctor instead of asking the internet as uncontrollable and frequent nosebleeds can be a sign of more serious illnesses and conditions.

I don't get nosebleeds all the time but back when I was having seizures I did o_O I also have them like Emmons said when the seasons change and my allergies start acting up. Anti-histamines will dry your nose out like a bitch. Stress and things like that increase your blood pressure which puts strain on the vessels and what not.

Like I said. Unless you're getting phantom smells and passing out without warning I don't think you've got anything serious like a brain tumor <,< But talk to a doctor. They'll help you narrow down the cause.

I just have thin vessels in my nose, like my dad does.

But damn..can those things go...

Allergy season and dry air do it to me the worst
