So I was in AV earlier, wondering why I was suddenly fighting alone again for the zillionth time, when I saw this troll running along who was low on health > Tab-Charge-Heroic Strike-Holy S**T it’s Zusteakai > and you die! I felt a twinge of remorse, cuz I read your posts all the time. I usually don’t pay attention to names, as I’m just trying to keep myself alive. Sorry about that, even though I’d do it again cuz you’re the enemy. I hate fighting EnheilRas too, he’s ran over me a few times. I like reading his wit and wisdom.

Que AV!

I keep waiting for Zusteakai to use a Gnomish Mind Control Cap, let it backfire... and make me able to kill him.

...

Maybe I should send him one. Bwhahahahaa!

Huffy, level damn you. Your far to easy to tackle. I will credit you with more brains than alot of other warriors I have seen though, like the Female Human who charges RIGHT in the middle of the fray, doesnt matter if it's 2 Horde or 40 or even if she has help. She just runs in there every chance she gets.

*scratches chin*Whats her name? She's got the AV spear...

Hmmm....

I think Zust has reached a new record of not replying to a post under twenty seconds.... and it's about him...

Hmmm...

I remember being in Av, my arms were getting tired, since the only other priest was Shadow and I had to heal him to, and then our lines fell back and all of a sudden I was being attacked by a wolf!

It was Lore, Zust's pet! I said "Oh noes!" and I shielded and then... it disapeared. And I chuckled, 'cause that meant he died.

I do that too, I don't really care about dying. It's more fun than standing behind everyone while the hunters and mages occasionally get the cobbles to move forward, shoot someone and immediately retreat back behind their big line of goons.

I run in sometimes, and before I go down I click my battlecry macro.

AV=yawn. I just try to hit people...and not get disarmed or mana drained. That way i can hit people more. Unless im running organized i try to avoid that disaster zone.

I did my first AV two weeks ago and am hooked. I’d level faster if I could stay out, but I’ve been running two a night, and sometimes three if I can squeeze it in. The very first one I was in, we won, and all the rest have been loses. From the start I saw a pattern. The Horde tend to stay together in a tighter group, spam massive amounts of AoE spells if we attack, they take advantage of a favorable situation quicker, and are much less timid. I was moving alone with two L60 Nelf hunters the night before last and we came face to face against a L60 troll hunter and an L60 UD priest. I yelled that I would take the hunter and for them to take the priest. I charged the hunter and used intimidating shout to get the priest away so he couldn’t fear me. The two Nelf hunters ran away. I died. /shrug If I didn’t like the people in the Ironforge Regiment so much I’d scrap my Alliance toons and re-roll horde.

Aw shucks...thanks Sarge! Now if only we could get it together in AB and WSG...

But Zust is right on...EnHeilRas is one helluva AV leader!

If you loose, you suffer a fate worse then death!

Whats that Sarge?

We actaully have to follow through on our resolutions!

Isn't that the whole point?

Had to use a RVB quote, only one I could think of

My fondest memory of Alterac Valley is this:

The Horde was in the process of routing the Alliance, and the Stormpike base was being over-run. The Ice Lord was smashing night elves into the snow, and dwarves and gnomes were scurrying around in a frenzy as tauren hunters picked them off from afar. The scene was nothing less than complete chaos, akin to the U.S embassy evacuation at the end of Vietnam.

Being a rogue, I was on mop-up duty -- "tending to the Alliance wounded." I was chasing a dwarf into the southern tower, when I ran into Enheilras and another general sitting at the table at the base of the stairs, roleplaying a conversation about enjoying the spoils of war. The precise details escape me, but the combination of this polite, civilized discussion in the midst of such extreme carnage was hilarious.

Since then, I've been playing as much Alterac Valley as possible, though the two hour queue times make it hard to get in as often as I would prefer.

I know who you're talking about... I think it's Zoeva.

But, I agree with her tactics. I do the same damn thing, and I'm a Warlock. For god's sakes, people don't CHARGE. They sit back and cry "onoes! we's gonna die!" So I always attempt a charge just so people will DO something. It's obnoxious.
